Looking into the room which laid past the opened double door, Xiao Feng saw that it was a small room and in it, he saw five shelves. Two on the left side of the room, two on the right side of the room and one on the top side of the room. He followed Xiao Yuuma into the room and saw what was on the first shelf on the left side of the room and the first shelf on the right side of the room. On the first shelf on the left side of the room, there were many different weapons. From daggers to halberds. And on the first shelf on the right side of the room, there were many different herbs. From small herbs to medium herbs to large herbs. He followed her deeper into the room and saw what was on the second shelf on the left side of the room and the second shelf on the right side of the room. On the second shelf on the left side of the room, there were a lot of books. Some were thick while others were thin. And on the second shelf on the right side of the room, there were many different pills. A few of some pills and tens of other pills. He followed her even deeper inside and saw what was on the last shelf which stood on the top side of the room. On it, there was only a single item. A small white jade box tied with a black string and a red string. They stopped in front of it.

Xiao Yuuma took the white jade box and looked at Xiao Feng. “In this jade box, there is a jade slip. You will drop some of your blood onto it and you will find yourself in complete darkness. Then, you will hear a voice. It will ask you whether you want a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill or a barehanded skill. You will choose a cultivation technique as a cultivation technique is by far the most important thing for a cultivator. Do you understand, Feng’er? You must choose a cultivation technique.”

Xiao Feng nodded his head in understanding. “Okay, big sister. I will choose a cultivation technique.”

Xiao Yuuma nodded her head and looked down at the white jade box. She pulled the black string and as it came undone, it fell to the floor. She pulled the red string and as it came undone, it fell to the floor. She opened the white jade box and the black jade slip within it was revealed. It was glossy and there was nothing written on it.

“Take it, Feng’er,” Xiao Yuuma said.

Xiao Feng took out the black jade slip from the white jade box with his right hand and examined it. It was thin, black and glossy. And there were no words written on its back side just as on its front side. He put his left thumb into his mouth and bit into it. When he tasted blood, he pulled his left thumb out of his mouth and lowered it to the black jade slip. And before he knew it, he was surrounded by complete darkness.

“Welcome,” a boy’s voice sounded from the direction of the north. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” a girl’s voice sounded from the direction of the south. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” a young man’s voice sounded from the direction of the north-east. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” a young woman’s voice sounded from the direction of the south-west. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” a middle-aged man’s voice sounded from the direction of the east. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” a middle-aged woman’s voice sounded from the direction of the west. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” an old man’s voice sounded from the direction of the south-east. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

“Welcome,” an old woman’s voice sounded from the direction of the north-west. “You can choose one of the following: a cultivation technique, a body strengthening technique, a movement technique, a weapon skill, a barehanded skill or do you want me to awaken your sleeping bloodline? Now choose!”

Xiao Feng looked around, but he only saw darkness and nothing more. “I have to choose a cultivation technique. But what is this about a bloodline?” he thought and said, “Tell me about my bloodline.”

“You have two bloodlines,” the eight voices said. “The first one is the tyrannical emperor bloodline. You have inherited it from your father and you have already started to awaken it. It will be fully awakened when you reach the first rank of the body refinement realm. The second one is the divine black dragon emperor bloodline. You have inherited it from your mother and it will awaken in just a few million years.”

“Dad, even though you abandoned me and died shortly after I was born, you passed on to me your tyrannical emperor bloodline. And mom, even though you abandoned me, you passed onto me your divine black dragon emperor bloodline. I don’t hate you two anymore. I am sorry, big sister. But I can’t choose a cultivation technique,” Xiao Feng thought and said, “Awaken my divine black dragon emperor bloodline!”

“As you wish!” the eight voices said and just after a short moment Xiao Feng lost consciousness.
