I scream out in anger and pain. “Jake!” Zona becomes shocked as I run towards Jake. Jake looks at his missing arm as he falls over holding it. James drops the sword grabbing ahold of his head. I push past James hitting him as I pass him. Jake grunts his teeth in pain trying to his pain. James shakes his head falling over as his body shakes. I look at Jake with tears in my eyes.
“You are going to be okay Jake.” Jake passes out as I try to stop the bleeding on his arm.
“Ash..ley…” I freeze looking over at James. He looks at me with confused eyes. Darkness slowly engulfs him as he reaches out for me.
“James!” He disappears in a cloud of darkness as the clouds overhead slowly disappear. Zona runs over to us as I stand there overwhelmed. I can’t function as Zona grabs my face.
“We need to help him. I am going to close the wound. You need to wrap it from getting infected.” I slowly nod as Zona bends down next to Jake. I dig into my bag pulling out a bandage. Zona lights a flame slowly closing Jake’s wound. He doesn’t wake up as I notice darkness slowly leaving his hand. This happens for a few seconds before stopping. Once Zona is done closing the wound, I wrap the wound hoping Jake will be okay. Zona and I pick Jake up by the shoulders carrying him to the nearest intact building. We lay him down on the floor. I go sit in the corner trying not to break down. Zona checks him over and comes to me. “He is fine Ashley.” I frown looking at her.
“James… Jake..” She has a look of understanding on her face but changes it to determination.
“I know but you need to be strong her Ashley. You can’t break down now. We need to regroup and figure out a way to beat Grant.” I look up at her feeling a few tears fall from my eyes.
“How could he be alive?” She frowns helping me up.
“I don’t know.” I frown thinking through my head. Doctor Roasland pops into my mind. I look at her getting angry.
“He did it. I need to find Roasland. Maybe he can help him.” I breath trying to calm down.
“We need to get moving now.” Zona and I pause turning around to see Jake standing up. I rush over to him hugging him close. I pull away slightly glaring at him.
“You just lost your arm. We aren’t going anywhere.” Jake sighs finding a chair sitting down in it. I pause surprised that he didn’t put up much of a fight. He looks at Zona who stares back at him.
“I need to ask a favor of you.” Zona cocks her slightly.
“What is it?” He frowns looking at the stump of his arm.
“I need to regain my magical abilities again. The only chance we have at defeating Grant is to have us both at hundred percent.”
“Okay? How do I come into play?” He relaxes into his chair.
“We need to get one of the Brothers done here.” Zona pauses getting pissed. I become confused wondering what he means.

“Why would we want that? How do you even know about the them?”
“You think me becoming the Lion was just lucky happenstance? Someone out there bestowed my powers onto me. The only people who would know that are them. Plus, I am guessing that they can tell you where Lupa is.” She pauses realizing this is true. I pause realizing that my lie would be revealed.
“So what does that mean?” Jake looks over to still talking to Zona.
“She is going to have to be a vessel again.” I pause beyond confused.
“What are you talking about?” Jake sighs as Zona seems to be working out whatever he said.
“James told me on your journey up here that you acted completely different for a minute. Your hair color changed, eyes, everything about you was different. After doing my own research and seeing your abilities, I believe you’re a mini vessel for the gods. The way Lupa is for the Sister. The only thing you need to do is contact them and we ask the questions.” I make a face as Zona faces me.
“I don’t know how to do that. I am still learning everything I can do. You can’t seriously believe that I can another thing inside my body?” Zona thinks for a moment nodding with Jake.
“You need to have vision.” I frown starting to get slightly angry.
“I don’t know how to do it.” Jake stands up walking over to me.
“Just concentrate on them. You’ve seen them before. You know what they look like, sound like. Just close your eyes and think.” I slowly close my eyes thinking this won’t work. I start to picture the Brothers from what I remember. Zona ask Jake.
“How do you know this will work?” Jake doesn’t say anything as I feel myself start to be pulled into a vision. I get a feeling I have never experienced before. Like the floodgates have been opened and something is coming.
I open my eyes to see a long hallway white flooring and walls. I frown looking around seeing only white. I notice one of the Brothers walking down the hall toward me. He weaker since the last time I’ve seen them. He isn’t glowing and his eyes are a weakly brown. He walks past me and pauses turning back towards me. He walks to me staring through me. “How have you’ve been my son?” Father appears next to him looking like his old self.
“Weak Father. The last of us feel weak.” Father frowns placing his hand on his shoulder.
“I know my son. With your sister gone and our connection with the world below small, we only have a matter of time.” He looks toward Father frowning.
“What do I need to do Father?” Father closes his eyes he slowly starts to look weaker.
“We just need to accept what happens now.” Father slowly walks away from the Brother as he stares at the wall. I attempt to grab onto the Brother’s shirt. My hand moves through him as I grunt in frustration. I wave my hand in front of the Brother’s face.
“Hey! I need your help. Come on answer me.” I notice Father pause turning back around. He raises his hand up and waves it in front of himself. His eyes go wide as Brother gasps backing up slightly. Father frowns angrily stomping towards me. I feel a tinge of fear creeping in on me as he stops in front of me.

“Ashley Price. How did you come to this place?” I gulp realizing that he can see me now.
“I.. I mean.. We need your help with Grant.” Father pauses laughing slightly.
“You mean that weak little thing? I have bigger issues to deal with instead of a low ranking Feedling.” Father turns away from me walking down the hall. I follow him as the Brother slowly moves his way toward the opposite way.
“Feedling?” Father scowls at me as we pass doors. On the other side of the doors are these grand fantastical windows depicting strange beings. The first one shows a great bird made of fire flying across an open sky. The second of a great tree with roots going deep into the earth. The third shows a monstrous creature having different parts like it’s been pieced together. It looks like it has the head of a dragon, the body of a werewolf, one arms is a large whip with the other being a blacken claw. Large wings come from its back. It is the most terrifying thing I’ve seen. The last window piece shows two figures back to back. One side of the picture frame shows a black robed figure with shadows coming off it. The other side shows a white robed figure with white wisps coming off it. My attention gets snapped back to Father as he begins talking again.
“For being a Seer, you don’t know very much. Yes. A Feedling. Creatures of pure emotions. They attach themselves to a person or thing causing their most used emotion as power. Evil creatures.” Father walks down the hallway opening a door to a room with floating lights.
“... So.. he isn’t a demon?” Father grabs one of the lights crushing it in his hands. He leaves the room with me following.
“To a degree. The Feedling just feeds off the emotion until it’s all used up. So, emotions like anger, lust, and so forth tend to make powerful Feedlings.” I make a face for a moment thinking of Jake.
“Um.. how do you defeat one?” He pauses laughing.
“Simple.. It’s..” He pauses getting angry looking at me. “That is knowledge I only know. You think you can come here getting all the answers to your problems. You’re wrong. The world below will die off eventually. I will have to start over everything, but it can be done.” I pause panic raising in my chest.
“We can stop him though.” He goes to another door opening it. He steps through into a room full of water. Different colors of water float around in the room ranging in a wide variety of colors.
“No, you can’t. My daughters will side project is just one step away from coming unstable. The so-called Lion is all but used up his magic. I cannot see one possible way for you to win.” I frown as he controls multiples of the waters into a little sphere in his hand. He closes his hand walking out of the room. I follow him still trying to figure out how to convince him.
“What can I do to get you to help us?” Father stops for a moment looking at me.
“Nothing. You have nothing I want or need.” I rack my brain for anything as I notice an old picture hanging off him and his family. It is mostly faded only showing him and his younger children. He notices me looking at the picture going to it. He looks at it. “It was so much simpler back then. Everything was in order. Perfect even.”
“What happened to your wife?” Father continues to stare at the picture with a slight look of sadness in his eyes.
“I don’t remember.” I pause confused.
“How don’t you remember? Aren’t you...” He cuts me off turning around facing me.
“The God of Knowledge? Of course, I am. I just… I..”
“You made yourself forget.” He frowns walking away from me.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” He opens another door going into it. I follow seeing a room full of vials. He goes to a few looking through them.
“You got hurt. Badly.” He stops placing his hand on a green vial with a small tree inside of it.
“... and if I did?” I pause at his question.
“It’s okay. We all..” He opens the vial throwing the light and water into it. The light swirls around it and the water surrounds the tree causing it to change colors. He turns to face me looking evil.
“You haven’t lost like I have. You’ve only been around for what.. Twenty years? I’ve existed the entire existence of life. You can’t picture the amount of pain and loss I’ve suffered. My wife.. My daughter.. Soon the last of my sons. I will be alone again.” I see golden streams build up in his eyes. He pauses recomposing himself.
“... I know we can fix this. You have to trust us.” He pauses looking at me. He looks down at the vial he has made. He walks over to me handing it to me.
“I will help you. Only because I want the pleasure of wiping the world below myself.” I frown but decide it’s better to accept the help now and deal with him later. I hold the vial looking inside.
“So, what do we need to do to beat Grant? Oh and how can we get Jake’s powers back? And fix James?” He frowns looking at me angrily.
“The Feedling is not the problem. However, killing him would cause another piece to fall out of place.” I feel my head start to spin and I start to sway. I realize that I am coming out of my vision.
“Father.. I am leaving. Hurry please.” He frowns looking impatient.
“The only way to beat the Feedling is to calm his emotion. Since we can’t be down there to do it, that is the only way.” I nod agreeing as I feel myself being pulled back.
“Alright.. How about James and Jake?” A slow smile appears across his face as darkness fills my vision.
“Simple. You need to die.”
