《Supreme Attainment》Bandit Attack (3 Final)

The bandit leader looks condescendingly at Kade. "How did Henry and the others lose to the likes of you."
Kade feeling irked says "Come here, and you'll find out."
The bandit leader looked at Kade in surprise. He doesn't know what is giving this boy the courage to face an armed company all by himself.
"Joe go test the boy."
Joe nodded and urged his horse forward, then drew his sword. When the horse came closer, Kade formed a water wave and bolted toward Joe. As he was running Kade spun in the air and threw the water wave for better momentum. Joe shocked and tugged the horses back, but it was too late. The water wave crushed the horse's throat and turned to batter Joe, who jumped off. Kade guided the tide back and triumphantly looked at Joe mangled corpse.
The entire village was silent. "Adept…" the bandit leader said. "No wonder you defeated Henry. No matter, this village will be your burial site. Trap formation!"
The bandits quickly surround Kade in a circle and shoved any villagers stupid enough to come close.
"Raid squad attack." With his command, five bandits rushed at Kade in a pincer attack.
Kade formed a water shield and his plate armor. The horses crashed into the shield, and it cracked all over. ' Water shield is in critical condition.' The soul chip beeped. 'I need to strike now.' he thought to himself.
Kade formed a water wave and leaped out of the shield. He caught a bandit off guard and plunged the stream into their abdomen, and his intestines flew.
The other bandits looked in rage at their slain comrade. They charged at Kade once again. The closest strikes at him, but Kade ducks and lunges forward with his water wave. He knocks the bandit over and crushes his head. Another sword lashes out at him, and he barely dodges. He swings his tide, but the bandit moves and the wave connect with the ground.

The bandit rushes toward Kade and slices his armor with his sword. He looks in shock as only the surface of his guard has been split. Kade grins as he slams the water wave in the bandit's body. The smell of death is in the air, but the last two bandits fearlessly look at Kade then nod at each other.
The mounted bandits draw their swords and create an x shape. They race together aiming to behead Kade.
Kade starts running away from the remaining two. They reach him as he runs to the edge of the encirclement. Kade creates another water shield, but instead of running inside he steps on the shield and abruptly black flips above the bandits. They reach out with their swords, but they are to low. Stretching his head to look underneath him he guides a water wave and beheads both bandits. Blood sprays into the bandit's encirclement and the heads appallingly lay against each other. 'That… that was fun.' Kade thought as he shook with excitement.
"He is not unkillable, all of you charge at him." The bandit leader yelled. But, no one moved an inch. "Are you scared?" he asks. "You are ruthless criminals who have survived more than a dozen bloodbaths." The bandits just looked down at their feet unable to mask their shame and fear. " You scum, I'll finish this myself."
The bandit leader takes off his cloak, reveals a set of heavy armor and enormous glaive in his hands. He makes his huge war horse trug forward to the center of the encirclement. He resembles a tyrannical warlord and is Kade nervous. His spirit and stamina are running out.
"You are a valiant warrior young one, but today is your death day. You killed my most reliable men and my companion Henry. Don't blame me for your death; this is just retribution. Take joy at the fact that you are going to be killed by me. Many men have had their lives taken by my blade.

Before the bandit leader could charge at him, Kade took the initiative to run. The bandit leader angrily tugged the horse and charged at Kade. The encirclement split in half as Kade rushed out. 'I need to get to the river' he thought.
Kade exhaled in relief as he sees the shrubs, he jumps in just as the bandit leader reaches his arm out to try to grab him.
Kade quickly turns around, but he doesn't see the bandit leader in sight. He walks to the water as that is where the water element is most present. Suddenly a blade is heard splitting the air, and the bandit's glaive knocks Kade violently to the edge if the lake.
The elemental armor on his back is split in half, and a broad gash is left in its place. At once Kade feels a searing pain across his back, and his will is exhausted.
"Is that all you've got" the bandit leader mocked. But Kade ignored him and desperately inched closer to the water. The bandit leader puts his glaive on Kade's head, and he starts to aim it higher and higher over his head. 'Is this the end?' Kade thought.
As the Bandit leader positions his massive glaive Kade realizes this is the chance he has been waiting for. He uses the last of his spirit to form two water waves in the lake. Camouflaged by the surrounding water Kade guides them forward. And before the bandit leader brings his glaive down, the two water waves surge forward like twin snakes and crash against his muscular chest.
The bandit leader is in disbelief as he looked at his disfigured chest. Blood seeps out of his mouth, and the ground shakes as he falls to his knees.
Kade's eyes turn hazy as he sees a silhouette reach out to him. Unable to hold out, his consciousness slips away, and he succumbs to his exhaustion.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
