Two months later

As Kade finishes his daily meditation, he lets out a long yawn and gets up to stretch. His muscles have become more defined by his physical training in the woods. He has risen to the intermediate level in the water tier of the hydrokinetic combat module. He can now form his water waves 50% faster, and his water waves are more coagulated.

'Soul chip how long will it be until I completely finish the wave tier,' 'Four months - Two years.' The chip replied.

Kade decided to switch his focus to the water exoskeleton module as he couldn't fully complete the wave tier anytime soon.

'Everything is going good but my spirit.' Kade gloomily recalled, his spirit increase has stagnated. 'Soul chip show me my information'

Kade's spirit has only increased 2.03 from the past two months of meditation and he is becoming slightly irritated from the slow progress. His strength has increased by 1 but his constitution and strength remained the same.

Kade wasn't worried about his constitution because he read that adept level Nagas have terrifying water regeneration talent. He hopes he will obtain the talent when he becomes an adept. But he is worried about his agility because he feels that he was to slow.

Kade got up as he remembered adept Marvin told him to met him in the morning. He is always worried that the eccentric adept would suddenly change his mind and harvest the bloodline. His main motivation to get stronger is because he knows he has to defeat adept Marvin if he wants to keep this bloodline and remain in the world of the Adepts.

Kade puts on his cloak and heads to adept Marvins study room. This time the door open and Vanessa was waiting inside for the first time.

Kade ignored her presence "Adept Marvin, you wanted to see me."

Adept Marvin got up and walked toward Kade " Yes, I've decided that you need combat experience. So I'm sending you on a mission to kill 5 stone giants and sell their elemental cores in the adept conclave."

Kade didn't believe what he was hearing. "You're letting me go to the adept conclave" he hesitantly asked.

"Yes, but I'll be leaving spirit mark on you which will let me see what you do and know your location." Adept Marvin said with an extreme emphasis. " Stand still"

Kade nervously stood still and looked at adept Marvin with fear in his eyes. Adept Marvin lifts his arm and a sphere of water forms at the base of his palm. The water sphere thrust into Kade's head and knocks him back.

His head felt like it's been split asunder as he fights the urge to scream. Kade slowly stands up and looks at adept Marvin, who seems to be inspecting something.

"The spirit mark seems to be working," Adept Marvin said with satisfaction. " You are to leave at noon. Remember, don't try to run away. I can sense your location with the spirit mark and I will recapture you. Then after I take the Naga bloodline away, I will burn your soul for eternity."

Kade was too irritated to be afraid of adept Marvins terrifying threat. He promptly left the room with a head-splitting migraine. 'Soul Chip is there any way to get rid of this spirit mark?' 'There is currently no way to remove it.' Kade felt anxious 'If I can't get rid of this then adept Marvin will know all my secrets.' The Soul chip replies 'You did not let me finish, I can disrupt the visual detection of the spirit mark and only let adept Marvin see what you want him to see. But, adept Marvin will still be able to access your location.'

Kade felt relieved, he did not have to worry about adept Marvin know his secrets. He only wished that his location couldn't be monitored or he would have run away during the adept's assignment.

When he got to his room Kade packed his bags and prepared supplies for his journey. He reads the map adept Marvin gave him and sees that it takes two months to get to the conclave from the Ballid swamp. The map also shows that there are five major conclaves in each region of the adept world and countless minor ones.

The five regions are the Eastern, Western, Southern, Northern, and Central. Kade is going to the Eastern major adept conclave, owned by the Starlight clan. An extremely powerful clan who use the laws of space to dominate parts of the East in the Adept plane. He marks the location of the stone giant forest tribe, Stondell. Then heads out his room to leave the wooden house.

He walks out the door of the house, turns around and looks at the window of adept Marvins study. Adept Marvin is strangely and intently staring at Kade. Kade inwardly shivers and starts to walk to the forest trail.

For the past month, Kade has been traveling in the forest. He has reached the halfway point to the adept conclave. The forest is darkening and he needs to find shelter. He suddenly stops in the forest tracks. Three men with evil smiles approach him. 'They don't have good intentions' Kade thought.

"What are you doing alone in the forest, little boy?" The bandit in the middle said with ingenuine kindness.

"My names Kade, I'm looking for a village to rest at, so I'll be on my way," Kade said with firmness.

"Don't leave so soon, give us that pouch at your waist and we'll protect you."

"No."

The bandit's face changed, "Ok no more games give us the pouch or you're going to get hurt."

"No," Kade repeated.

"All right you forced us, don't beg for mercy later you little fuck." The bandits finally showed their true colors as they drew their weapons out, and charge at Kade. 'Idiots' Kade thought as formed a massive water wave. He bolts at his assailants and hurls it at the leader. Seeing the incoming wave the bandit instinctively turned left. The water wave smashes into his arm, blowing it off. The smell of blood fills the air.

The bandit looks at the mangled remains of his arm and screams in horror. The other bandits stop and terror filled their eyes as they look at Kade.

"Kill him!" The leader screams in pain.

The remaining bandits hesitantly run toward Kade. 'This is an opportunity to train my skills' Kade thought as he rushes toward another bandit. He moves the water wave to batter his head. The bandit side steps then swang his sword at Kade. Kade dodges and brings the wave to propel into the bandit's chest. A bone-crunching sound arises.

The bandit has a pain filled expression as he looks at the cavity where his heart should be. He collapsed to the ground breathing his last breath.

Kade shudders as he looks at the first man he's killed. 'This won't be last, the road has only begun' he gloomily thought.

Suddenly Kade feels a searing pain and his water wave collapsed. He turned around and saw the bandit retract the sword embedded deep into his shoulder as he raised it high. 'I was careless' Kade thought as he formed a wave shield. The bandits chops the sword down and it strikes just as the shield forms. Losing his weapon in the thick water, the bandit turned to run but his head is blown apart as a wave viciously slammed into it. Kade flicked his arm and guides the wave back pointing it at the remaining bandit.

He looks at the cowering leader, "Where is the village!"

"Keep treading north and it should be across the path me lord."

Kade disperses the wave and weakly continuous on the forest trail. He holds his shoulder tight to stop the blood from spraying out. If it wasn't for his profound constitution he would have already been dead. Kade traveled for 2 hours until he holds sight of a modest village. His is pallid from the massive blood loss, and his feet have turned purple from the long journey.

Kade walks to the first house he sees and bangs on the door. Unable to go on he collapses in front of the door. A beautiful maiden opens the door and screams. She sees a blood-drenched man whose neck has been grievously sliced. She rolls up her sleeve and drags him in.

8 miles away a similarly wounded man who has one arm is dragging himself toward a camp. But unlike Kade, he does not have a powerful constitution and he is close to death.

As he drags himself in the camp he interrupts the joyous laughter of the 30 men around the campfire.

"Henry, who did this to you! Where are the others!" A loud voice boomed.

"Leader," Henry weakly says. "There dead, the boy Kade… is… at...Rendall village." Henry fights to remain awake, he tries to warn them of Kade's terrifying powers. "Be careful… he… is." Unable to continue Henry's head slaked back and the Bandit leader lets out a lion's roar.

"Rest easy Henry, there will be retribution." With a murderous glare, he looks to the direction of Rendall village."KADE"
