《Battlefield Restart (Old Version)》Chapter 11: Calm Winds Are Stirring (Deleted Draft)

Although my father has always been strict as my instructor, there wasn't a single day I felt dissatisfaction towards him, because I knew the things he must be going through. I know in the world of Sphere, power is more important than wisdom, so my father has to be strict and train me in order for me to live more freely outside the mansion. I know this... However... Does father?
"Father." After finishing my last day of training, I call out to him, waking him from his distracted thoughts.
"What's wrong?" My father questioned in turn. He seemed to be surprised that I wasn't getting ready for the tournament that was coming up.
"Do you regret training me?" I get straight to the point and ask.
"There's no need for regret. What are you trying to get at?" My father returns my question with another. His eyes seemed shaken by my words.
"What are you talking about?" My sister, Merilin, interjects from the side.
In these years, she has grown to become a lovable child with a really responsible personality. I wonder why is that? Well, I myself am a reincarnated individual so my maturity at a young age was quite normal, but seeing the intelligence that shone in my sisters eyes made me feel as if she was a reincarnated individual as well.
"Nothing, just about training, are you going to join in? We can have one last match if you want." I smile and changed the subject. Even if she was smarter than others, she was still a young girl, talking about such a deep topic with her would only sadden her heart. Since she has been training with me since a year ago, this eight year old girl should be pretty strong, so there's a need to check her strength before I leave to go to the mansions Main Hall.

"Today I'll beat you, brother." She smiles adorably and says whilst getting her sword from mother who was watching to the side. Then, without warning, she attacked me seriously.
She doesn't need to hold back on trying to injure me because our swords are made from wood. Her attacks were swift and secretive due to Mark training her in the swordsmanship he knew best, the Wind God Style Swordsmanship, and own hard-work.
However, she was still too far from reaching her potential due to age, unlike me who has already broke the limits of my talent. I don't mean to brag but if it was any other Rank F magical talent fighting her head on, he would have been overpowered in the first few exchanges for sure.
"Don't jump around randomly." I advise as I moved my leg to trip her up.
The the low kick was so precise and calculated that she didn't even have the chance to resist. After falling on the floor, I point my sword at her, giving her no choice but to give up. She looked angry and started to pout as she brushed the dirt off her clothes.
"Just you wait. One day, I promise that one day, you'll see me as someone stronger than you! And you won't leave me behind." She said with tears in her eyes before running to her room. I look at the back of my little sister who has grown so much in these years and sigh.
"I'll go prepare myself for the tournament now..." I said in a depressed tone before going to my own room to prepare my stuff. I wanted to live my new life without regrets, that's why I trained myself these five years, so that nothing could be taken from me.
Yet, what I didn't notice, was that I started to give less and less attention to my little sister due to my obsessed training. By the time I noticed, a rift had formed between us, one that couldn't been seen until today. My parents looked like they felt regretful inwardly despite their outwards appearance. I, myself, as someone who has lived for much longer than them should be the one to feel ashamed though. I'll have to brave myself and at least try to talk to her after the tournament has ended.

Today will be the start of a grand event that will spur all the ten to thirteen year old children within the Swordwick Mansion. So I, one of the contestants, will have to accompany my parents to the Main Hall to sigh up. I haven't been paying attention to others my age because of my training, but my father was always talking about the talented children I will have to watch out for.
Some of the talented kids he talked about included the guy who born with a Rank B Magical Talent, the one who has the highest chance to become the tournaments winner, Aaron Rockwell.
From what my father boasted, he's the son of one of my uncles who was once a chivalrous Knight, and his skills in using Spells are very high. He seems to be focused mostly in earth magic, so the Spells he used are pretty strong, my father advised that I deal with him as soon as the match starts due to the fact that he's not at all weak in close combat as well because of his own strict father.
The other people my father mentioned were of talented people in their own right. However, the one thing my father warned me over and over again about was to not fight the Dukes daughter, a genius with both high magical talent and flame Arts that can control a unique kind of blue flames. He said that this flame is somehow hotter than flames of ordinary fire attribute Spells.
This genius girl they described seems suspicious to me. I mean, these blue flames aren't something someone of this world can understand. This is due to the lack of science in Sphera, a lack of knowledge regarding anything that doesn't involve magic, since magic called Arts can be used by anyone to fulfil any common desire.
A normal person can use a simple fire attribute Art to light a fire. A person that want to build a wall just needs to be able to use simple earth attribute Arts to make one. The only thing that hasn't changed in this was that a persons thirst can be quenched with regular water, not water magic, due to the lack of knowledge of what impurities reside within the H2O.
Sapphire Swordwick, the Dukes genius daughter, could not have understood the intricacies of fire on her own. So there are only to possibilities:
One is that she is also a reincarnated individual. Enigma had said that there were other Gods in this world besides himself. This is the reason I find such a possibility acceptable, because even though my circumstances a little bit special due to my summoning, there's no need to think that I'm the only reincarnated individual in existence.
The second possibility is that she's learnt a special Art that no one else knows about, if it's only that, then I don't need to feel any fear whilst fighting her. Since breaking such a fire attribute trick is easy. After the tournament is settled, I'll have have a lot of time to talk to her, so there's no need to feel bad about winning against her by using petty trick.
