《Feed the EGO》ch 31- Fire inside

Rama's POV-
He used the sparks generated from the static electricity to lure the bugs. He seems quite intelligent, he seems like a younger reflection of me. It is quite early to think this but maybe he will also manifest the same spirit as me. He has gathered the food, but now comes the real challenge. There is a water stream flowing in this prison. But the prison is as big as a football stadium. The stream does not make much sound so even concentrating won't help.
"I have found food grandpa," Mirik shouted not knowing that I was right behind him this whole time.
"I see. Now let's move on to water then." I said without giving him any praise for his efforts. But it did not make him dejected. He just smiled and put his ear on the ground. It was foolish to think that he could listen to the sound of the stream. I was a bit disappointed but he was just a kid anyway. I thought of letting him do what he was doing and only interfere when he would lose his will to continue.
A few minutes passed and he began crawling. Surprisingly he was crawling in the direction of the stream. But how was this possible he should not be able to listen or feel the vibrations from so far off? I tried t find out how he was doing it. And I found my answer pretty quickly.
He was not crawling blindly but was following a cockroach which he should have caught with the bugs. Cockroaches have a tendency to get attracted to water, but it was not a sure thing that the cockroach Mirik was pursuing was going to go towards the water source. That only means one thing, he gambled on this cockroach to find water for him. The kid was decisive.

After 15 minutes of crawling, he finally found the water source.
"Grandpa I have done what you asked me," he said with a serious face. I had to acknowledge that I didn't expect him to find food and water this quickly.
"You certainly did," I said while making my presence known again. I was proud that my grandson was this good at such a young age. And it made one thing clear we were moving along the same path I moved.
"Mirik did Adi tell you about my spirit?" I asked him while sitting beside him.
"No, he didn't. But he did tell me that you were quite strong," he said while dusting off his clothes.
I flicked my finger and an orb black in color started hovering over me. I flicked my finger again and the orb started to glow and lighted the place. Mirik looked amazed like he was seeing magic for the first time.
"This is my spirit," I said while looking at him. He was a bit awe-struck as this was the first time he saw my face.
"This orb is your spirit?" he said with a bit of disappointment.
"Don't underestimate it," I said while the orb changed its form from a sphere to that of a sword still glowing. After that, it changed into an umbrella and then into shoes.
"My spirit can morph itself into anything I wish. It's not like traditional spirits which only change form only once when they are upgraded. I can make anything from this as long as I know the workings of the object." I said while turning the spirit back into a ball shape.
"You, from what I can sense will most probably also manifest this spirit. So you are quite lucky to have found me. Now you just have to focus and manifest the spirit." I told him.

"But what do I even focus on, it's not like feeling the anger inside me is going to work here," he asked.
"The spirit is not related to our bloodline in any way. It manifests in people with crazy imaginations. You have it in you. Just focus and imagine making things from something like clay. You will manifest a spirit when you will truly believe in yourself that you can make anything by using your imagination." I told him.
"I think that makes sense. I should start right away then," he said.
"First eat some food and then we will start tomorrow." I stopped him.
"Ok....and one more thing. What was your title?" he asked. I laughed heartily hearing his question.
"Title of a Failure."

It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
