《i Hunt Mansters?》Chapter 7: You are high level?

“Why the hell is it carrying a sword?”
Saransh was surprised from the ominous sword it was carrying.
As for the huntsmen, they had never seen or heard the type of manster which was standing in front of them. Most of them were not even from the prominent clans.
As if it was the first thing to do, they started scanning the manster right away. The manster was standing still with the long sword in its hands as if it was preparing for something.
After a few seconds, a notification arrived on multiple wrist bands.
*[Level 19 Manster; Type: Unknown] *
“It is level 19! and it is not even registered in the database.”
Someone shouted in panic.
Saransh had decided something right away after seeing the notification.
“I think helping them out from the side-lines might be the best option.”
*[You Coward!!] *
At the same time, a Level 7 huntsman shouted in terror.
“What to do?”
There was huge difference between a level 7 and a level 19 and it cannot be covered with any weapon or skill. As for the huntsmen who were present there, the maximum level was 10 and he was a plasma caster at that.
“Let’s run!”
Someone shouted.
“It is not possible, since the last train just left and it would be atleast 30 minutes before that train comes back.”
After hearing it, the highest level huntsmen Sanjay raised his staff and shouted.
“We would have to hold it off until then.”
“I think it has gotten into level 19 just now after absorbing all the life stones inside the plasma tower!”, he added.
“It is probably preparing some skill and we need to restrain it before that!”, he continued.
Sanjay was trying to raise the morality of the huntsmen.
The huntsmen nodded in unison as Sanjay was their only hope for their survival.
“Tell us… what should we do?”
A swordsman asked.
“We are gonna restrain it using the Froze Peak skill.”
Everyone understood what he was talking about and started creating formations.
“What the hell is he talking about?”,
It was Saransh who hasn’t understood yet.
*[Oh… you don’t know what the Froze Peak skill is?] *
“Just tell me already!”
*[Ok…Just this once! It is a rare skill which uses spells from multiple types of huntsmen, primarily a kelvin mage, a gust skill swordsman and then a healer.] *
“I still don’t understand the specifics and what can a healer do in any of this?”
Saransh was more confused.
*[You can apprehend it once they activate the skill.] *
“Yeah whatever! But I still appreciate their effort to restraint the manster before it actually power-ups.”
Saransh had stopped asking and focused on what was becoming in front of him.
A couple of huntsmen had already gathered around the shadow manster which was still not reacting to anything.

Sanjay stood in front of the manster and shouted.
“Swordsman start activating your skill!”.
6 swordsmen who were gathered around the manster unsheathed their sword and shouted in unison.
“Gust Wind”.
Suddenly, the air which was motionless around the vicinity started moving around the manster. It was a gust of wind.
“Accurate Modelling”
The healers who were standing behind the swordsmen pointed their healing rings towards the manster and started casting ‘Accurate Modelling’. It was the fundamental skill of the healers to shape the plasma in any object according to their will. And it was the same skill used to heal the injured organs or tissues by remodelling them with the plasma. But this time, they were remodelling the gust of wind in front of them into a sphere which spanned across the entire manster.
To accomplish this, atleast 20 healers were casting the skill ‘Accurate Modelling’.
Finally, Sanjay stepped up and shouted “Air Freeze”. It was a rare skill which could freeze the air itself.
The gust of wind which surrounded the manster in a sphere shape finally started freezing up.
“Swordsman and healers, continue casting your skills until the sphere is entirely frozen up.”
Even though most of them had no prior experience in a combination attack, Sanjay had been instructing them in between for them to rectify any mistakes that had happened by chance.
Finally, after 10 minutes. The sphere around the manster completely froze up and the manster was contained. The manster didn’t make a single move during that time.
“It is done!”
Sanjay said it out loud.
The mood of the area changed. The tension and fright in the huntsmen’s mind was finally easing up.
“It is a really powerful skill indeed”.
Saransh had witnessed a combination attack for the first time.
*[Well, it was best to contain it while it was still trying to prepare its skill.] *
“But, it isn’t still dead right?”
*[No, it isn’t. But the combination attack is powerful enough to contain it for another 30 minutes.] *
“And that is enough for the train to arrive.”
*[Surely.] *
The huntsmen in the area had started packing their backpacks so as to leave the premises.
“It won’t hold off the manster more than 30 minutes, so we better hurry!”
Sanjay shouted to his colleagues.
But suddenly, what was thought to be 30 minutes has shortened into a couple of seconds.
*CRAAAAKK*
A huge cracked appeared on the frozen sphere, followed by tiny cracks around the whole the sphere. A long sword had already pierced the huge crack and could be seen outside the sphere.
*CRAAAAK*
*CRAAAAAK*
The short cracks widened up and finally the ‘Froze Peak’ Skill was already dissolved. The sphere had already turned into nothingness.
“Holy Sh1t”.
Sanjay sweared.
The huntsmen who were finally ready to depart were frightened after seeing the shadow manster back in action.
“It is different.”

Sanjay said.
The black colored long sword equipped by the manster was glowing in red color.
“The manster had activated a skill.”
Unlike the huntsmen, who were assisted by the wrist band in identifying and registering their skills, manster had to learn it through the hard way but the result was much more frightening. Intelligent mansters capable of learning new skills had to bide their time to learn the skill completely.
And the manster in front of them had already learned a new skill capable enough to obliterate the ‘Froze Peak’ Skill.
“Mira! What skill is it?”
Saransh asked.
*[Registered Skill name: ‘Blood Spirit’, Type: Spirit Grade] *
“What the heck?”
“It is my first time seeing a spirit grade skill.”
Saransh had never seen a spirit grade skill before and it was the same for the most of the huntsmen present there. Most of them used plasma based skills which dependent on their own plasma to cast any skill. But for a spirit grade skill, it used the plasma from a different being to activate the skill.
“Run to the platform!! I will try to hold it…”.
Before Sanjay could finish the sentence, everyone heard a huge swoosh of air. The shadow manster was still standing at the same spot but it had already swung its sword once and the one on the receiving end was Sanjay.
A sense of pure terror entered into everyone’s mind after seeing Sanjay’s body lying cold on the ground. He couldn’t even react to the manster’s blow which grazed his torso diagonally.
“AAAAAAH”
Sanjay shouted in pain and a huge amount of blood was pouring out from his grave wound.
But the manster didn’t stop there and it rushed towards its fallen prey. After reaching a certain distance, it swung its sword again. But this time, Sanjay received the full might of the blow and died instantly.
After seeing the highest level huntsman fall down so easily, everyone in the vicinity fell into deep panic and started running towards the entrance of the platform immediately.
After seeing the whole dilemma from the top of the platform, Saransh had decided something.
“I’m not gonna move a single inch from here.”
Saransh said to himself.
He started channelling his plasma into the gun and hid himself behind a container on the top of the platform.
*[That might be the best option.] *
Mira replied to his comment.
Since Saransh had activated the passive skill ‘Astro Sound’, he just had to hide himself from the direct sight of the manster to erase his presence entirely. It was his best option, since even if he went down and waited for the train to arrive, it would be too late and the manster would have killed him by then.
But all the other huntsmen weren’t so lucky. Countless huntsmen followed Sanjay to the grave after being struck by sword on their back. The huntsmen were trying to flee but they couldn’t avoid the deadly attack from the manster’s blade.
But suddenly,
*KRAAAAAA*
The shadow manster cried in pain after being stabbed by someone from behind. Since the shadow manster was so furious with its attack on the huntsmen, it couldn’t defend an attack from the back side.
After seeing the shadow manster flinch for a second, huntsmen didn’t stop but continued their approach towards the gate much more fiercely. They knew someone was staying behind to hold the shadow manster but they also knew that they wouldn’t stand a chance against that thing.
The shadow manster rotated its neck to see the person who gave it a grave wound. Its eyes were dark blue in color and glared at the retracting enemy. It didn’t want the enemy to fall back so easily. Soon after the glare attack, it smirked after seeing its enemy frozen stiff at the spot.
Now, it didn’t care about the escaping huntsmen and was primarily focused on the huntsman who dared enough to stab it from behind.
Saransh who was watching the spectacle had already identified the person who just injured the shadow manster.
“It is Diya!”.
He was amused.
*[Registered Skill Name: ‘Petrification’, Type: Plasma based.] *
Mira had already scanned the skill and sent a notification.
‘She is in danger!’
Saransh thought.
The shadow manster didn’t just stop at the ‘Glare’ Attack and continued its approach towards Diya.
‘I have to do something!’
Saransh very well knew about the glare attack and knew that she wouldn’t be able to move unless the manster looses its concentration.
Shadow manster raised its blade as if to swing it from a distance. But suddenly,
*PIYUUUUUUP*
A beam of plasma energy had penetrated through the manster’s right leg and Saransh received a notification right away.
*[ ‘Paralyze’ Skill has been activated on the target.] *
The manster didn’t feel any pain from the weakened snipe skill but it couldn’t discover Saransh’s actual location either.
*GRAAAAA*
It growled in frustration.
*[Whew, you can even make the mansters frustrated.] *
“Oh… Shut up.”
He looked at Diya’s position this time, but to his surprise, Diya’s wasn’t there.
“What the hell?”
*KRAAAA*
He soon heard a loud scream from the manster which was stabbed by Diya again. She didn’t miss the opportunity since the manster had a paralyzed leg and couldn’t move.
“Wasn’t she stuck until now? How did she reach there in a blink of an eye?”
He knew that the glare attack couldn’t be broken by just by his paralyze skill alone since the manster was completely focused on Diya, unless.
“Mira! Check her level again!”.
After a second Mira sent a notification.
*[She is not level 5. She is level 15!] *
*[And…. The plasma levels are still fluctuating.] *
