Risa's POV
"Hey, what's your problem? Why are you looking at me like this? Have I caught your heart or something?" I said to him. He looked at me with a shocked face and maybe even thought that I had thick skin to ask something like this.
"No, I was looking behind you... never mind." he said in a low voice. The ambulance arrived between our argument so I had to let him off. Grabbing the perfect opportunity he started to move out of the alley into the main street. But I grabbed him one again.
"Hey, Mirik! You are quite cute, why don't you fix your attitude and you might become perfect." I told him while holding his arm. The statement made him stop in his tracks and he looked at my face again. But this time it was like he was worried, he was trying to find something. After he analyzed my whole body he looked away but I could see some pain in his eyes.
"I don't need to be perfect...I don't deserve it." he left after saying this. I just had this feeling that he might not be a bad person. He did all this for some reason unknown to us, maybe the stakes were too much for him to go this far. But for the time being, I knew his name and he was in the same place where I had to go.
Suddenly I felt a hand behind me. I was startled but seeing the owner of the hand I breathed a sigh of relief. Sivi was here now I felt safe again. But maybe I was wrong about the safety part, she pinched my cheek and looked down on me like a predator.
"Can you stop getting involved in all these dangerous things for once?" she asked.

"Why are you saying it like I have done it before too?" I asked confused. She looked into my eyes and stopped pinching my cheeks. Did I do things like these before my memory loss? Or she was just being sarcastic? I had so many questions.
"So now you are headed somewhere else miss?" Sivi asked annoyingly.
"No. I realized something after witnessing this fight. I'm not strong enough. I have to train." I said while looking in the direction the boy left.
"And yeah, let's do some training immediately after we reach home" I added while looking at her with sparkly eyes. But her answer was not as enthusiastic.
"No...I have to watch a movie with your brother..." she said, the second part was inaudible to me.

Mirik's POV
What an eventful day. That girl.....she says some wild shit alright. She even made me calm my anger. It's like I'm talking to 'her' again. But I checked her from head to toe she is someone else. I was lost in my thoughts after such a long time that even I didn't believe it. Let's forget her for now.
I had to find that Axe guy. But how? Talk to the information broker? No, I gave all the money to the kids. What other methods can I even use? Beating all the thugs in the area? No, it might turn out just like last time. And those kids were not even proper thugs. I had to beat them because of the rumors.
I was thinking of the ways to find the killer, the sun was going down. I felt someone following me from a distance. I kept walking at the same pace. But he increased his pace as the time went on. When he got in like five meters behind me, I changed my direction and went into a lightly lit alley.

The alley was a dead end. I stopped and finally turned. A man in his late twenties with golden hair was staring me down from not very far away. He had a big guitar case on his back.
"Sorry, bro you have to die. You ask too many questions." he suddenly declared.
"Do you work for 'Garden' blondie?" I asked. He smirked and opened his guitar case.
"You do know too much," he said while taking out a giant axe from the case. I immediately knew I got the man. The man gripped the axe into a low bending stance and a halo of light started coming out of his body.
"A walrus huh? That's unexpected. You have one nice spirit there." I said while getting into a fighting stance. This guy could be dangerous.
"Thanks, man. Now die."

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

The False Paladin
Divine Paladins, a title given to those who were blessed with the Lord's Favor, are the pillars of the kingdom of Calorin. However, a kingdom cannot simply be built from ideals of honor and duty. Sir Roel, the 58th Divine Paladin, knows that he's no hero. His sword is fake, his actual powers are middling, and his thoughts grow more cynical with every passing day. Upon receiving his next task, an order to assassinate a member of royalty, he wonders if the only thing he can do is bow his head and obey. Set in a medieval-era world in which brute strength is often subordinate to the schemes and machinations of the ruling class, this is a low fantasy story about a hero who struggles not only against monsters but also the idea that he's supposed to be the one fighting them. This fiction updates once to twice a week and each chapter is a minimum of 1000 words.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
