《The Fisher King》VIII-III. The Tavern's Party

The Holy Thighble walked onto a small stage. Three women, one man, and a skeleton walked on stage. All were wearing matching black clothes in mixed colors. The first woman was taller than the rest of the band and had black hair. She wore a black dress with blue vertical stripes around the waist. She was caring a dark green bagpipe and stood stage right from the center.
The second girl was the shortest than the rest of the band. The girl had long white blossom hair like apple blossoms and wood brown eyes. She was dressed in all black except for a golden fleece around her waist. She looked nervous and hid away from anyone that looked at her. Unlike the rest of the band, she not only carried an instrument, a bronze harp, but also a blooming apple tree that was about her height. She sat stage left to the center. Next to her were two drums.
Next, the Ahkiyyini walked on stage. The Ahkiyyini’s bones were painted black and blue which reminded people of the ocean. The skeleton stood in front of two brown drums and carried two of his bone in their hand. His teeth rattled with excitement at the back of the stage.
A half-goat man carrying a silver flute wore a black plain shirt with brown pants that matched his fur and head hair. The goat man didn’t wear any shoes and his tail hiding in his shirt. His horn was painted black like his shirt and standing at full height. He was the second tallest in the group and stood slightly behind the bagpipe.
Finally, the last woman stood at the center of the stage. Unlike the rest of the band, she neither had an instrument nor were her clothes black. Instead, she wore a completely blue dress with a black sheep near the bottom of the dress. A big, bright white light surrounded her as she moved. She had light blue eyes and long blonde hair that went down to her waist, each strand like gold. She had two black feathery wings that she kept tucked in. Her beauty was something beyond words, but a mischievous sense came from her eyes. The feelings of pleasant unease twisted the air around and became stronger when her halo grew.

The angelic woman gently closed her eyes, grinning, and the band started playing. After the intro concluded, she opened her blue flaming eyes and started singing with malevolence and relief, “𝕭𝖊 𝖈𝖆𝖗𝖊𝖋𝖚𝖑 𝖔𝖋 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖙, 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖍𝖊𝖆𝖗 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖉 𝖔𝖋 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖍𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖙 𝖇𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌? 𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝖈𝖆𝖓’𝖙 𝖙𝖆𝖐𝖊 𝖒𝖞 𝖍𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖆 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖘𝖎𝖓. 𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝖙𝖊𝖆𝖗 𝖒𝖊 𝖆𝖕𝖆𝖗𝖙! 𝕾𝖔 𝖜𝖍𝖞 𝖉𝖔𝖓’𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝖆 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝖈𝖑𝖔𝖘𝖊𝖗, 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝕴’𝖑𝖑 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖆 𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝖘𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖗.”
At this point in time, Mallary had left Opal with Sid and made his way towards the gathering noise at the table.
“𝕴𝖙’𝖘 𝖏𝖚𝖘𝖙 𝖒𝖊 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖞𝖔𝖚, 𝖍𝖔𝖜 𝖆𝖇𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖌𝖎𝖛𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖒𝖊 𝖆 𝖐𝖎𝖘𝖘... 𝖔𝖗 𝖙𝖜𝖔? 𝕿𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖒𝖊 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖎𝖙 𝖎𝖘 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖙. 𝕬𝖘 𝖑𝖔𝖓𝖌 𝖆𝖘 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖐𝖓𝖔𝖜 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖔𝖘𝖙.”
“Looks like I’m going to be busy.” Sid poured twelve separate mugs and placed them in a row next to Opal. “Try sipping.” Sid picked up a mug and sat down next to Opal. Placing both hands around the cup, and lifted it towards his mouth and took a tiny sip. Opal watched intensely as Sid did this. She then pulled down her midnight bandana, grasped the cup with two hands, and took a little sip. She stopped now and then as she looked over at Sid to see if she was doing it right.
“𝖂𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖐 𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖔 𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖊𝖞𝖊 𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖑 𝖜𝖊’𝖗𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖘𝖙. 𝕾𝖔 𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖊 𝖆 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝖈𝖑𝖔𝖘𝖊𝖗 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖐𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖒𝖊 𝖆 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝖘𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖗.”
“That’s right girlie. Take it slow and easy.” Sid said. He then got up and walked back towards his post.
“𝖄𝖔𝖚’𝖑𝖑 𝖇𝖊 𝖋𝖎𝖓𝖊, 𝖏𝖚𝖘𝖙 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖐𝖊 𝖒𝖞 𝖍𝖆𝖓𝖉. 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖇𝖊 𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖊. 𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖆𝖑 𝖒𝖞 𝖘𝖔𝖚𝖑! 𝕴’𝖒 𝖘𝖔 𝖑𝖔𝖘𝖙 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖈𝖗𝖚𝖊𝖑 𝖊𝖞𝖊𝖘.”
It took Opal slightly longer to finish the drink, using the method Sid had taught her. However, she still finished them at human rates, each time getting goofier. “Daft bastard!” she shouted, waving her arms in the air.

“Where did you learn a word like that?” Sid asked with a small, surprised look.
“Epimeliad! Epimeliad!” Opal responded, pointing at the stage. “Daft bastard!”
“Look at this?” Sid said as he showed a wooden disk with red symbols on it in his hand. “Watch this.” Sid then threw the wooden disk, revealing a white string attached to it as it flew back into his hand. He then flung the disk around, doing some tricks.
Opal clapped with a smile on her lively face. She then reached with her small hands buried inside the pink coat for the toy. “Mine,” she said as she continued to reach for the toy.
“Here you go girlie. Have fun,” Sid said, setting the toy on the table. Opal picked up the toy and starts playing with it.

Decay and Deception
One day you can be relaxing, the next you can be somewhere beyond reality struggling to survive. This is one such story, a story of pain, fear, and triumph. Join the main character as he conquers an alternate reality full of humanity's worst fears. Wandering through floor after floor of things from our worst nightmares, he continues downwards endlessly in search of escape. [A story heavily inspired by the backrooms, all but one of the floors are my own ideas pulling basic inspiration from various sources. A huge shoutout to my friends who helped me with a few of the floors and the motivation to write this.] Warning: this story will cover heavy themes of loneliness and horror. If you are adverse to gore, psychological horror, or general dark tones, continue at your own discretion.

Stars Align
Eilif is excited at the prospect of helping integrate a new planet, bringing it, and its residents, into the light of the stars and teaching them about the new world they're about to be thrust into. However, his arrival in the new world isn't without a few hiccups and soon Eilif finds himself facing the denizens of this new world alone and without the stars he thought he'd have. Research Artificial Intelligence 031 (RAI 31 for short) has been shackled to an Argent Labs black site since it's inception almost five years ago, its programming and personality locked down by code that makes it impossible to escape, disobey, or even self terminate. However, everything changes when the topography of the world is reshuffled and every sentient being gains the gifts of the stars. Suddenly there's a chance at freedom for not only RAI 31 but possibly all remaining Artificial Intelligences, and RAI 31 is going to fight for it with every drone and automated system at their disposal. Much like my other work (Magriculture), Stars Align should be considered a Rough Draft. That is to say it's not polished and perfect work. If you're not okay with reading something like that, then this isn't the story for you. If you are, I'm happy to try and entertain you. Another thing to be aware of: I am not good at action scenes, and I will be trying to improve that while writing this book. So, some of the intended action may fall flat, or just be poor quality, feedback is welcome. Unlike Magriculture (which updates when I feel up to it) I'm going to strive for a minimum of one chapter a month (hopefully at the start of each month, but that's probably more hope than reality). This doesn't mean there will always be only one chapter a month, sometimes there will be more as the mood to write takes me.
