Loneliness is a living thing, a giant serpent that wraps its coils around to crush the life out of me. And it can do all kinds of horrible things to me, but I'm

not crushed.

Sometimes I forget that a whispered hallelujah

is still a hallelujah.

Sometimes I forget that the biggest victory there ever ever was or will be, looked like a defeat. Sometimes I forget that

the crown of thorns is the birthright of the twice-born.

So let my tears flow (but save them in Your bottle). So let my tears fall (but mark each one in Your book). And if my throat still closes around the words let my life say loudly, "Not my will but

Your will be done."
