《Welcome to the new World》Volume 1 chapter 4 The World

I awoke in a tree very tall tree. “Help!!, somebody gets me down from here!!?” I checked the branch to make sure it was sturdy.
I felt sore and a little dizzy, but I could move; I looked down; that was a mistake; the ground looked so far away.
“Where am I??!” How am I going to get down from this somehow
I looked around and saw branches I could use to climb down the tree
“Okay, nice and easy” I tried to ease my weight on the branch. It creaked and the fear of it snapping, gave me caution with every step.
“Okay, one branch down a billion to go”. I went past a couple of branches and was almost halfway down till my luck ran out.
Snap!!
“Oh Crap” I tried to grab the branch above me, but I just missed it and i came barrelling down, hitting the branches on my way down.
I hit the ground
"Ow... Nail it...”
Everything hurt, but I think nothing is broken. I got up and looked around.
“Oh, my head. “ still a little messed up from the fall ,I began surveying my surroundings; nothing looks familiar
I noticed a shadow circling my location. The treetops were blocking whatever it was. I could not see it.
“better keep moving “the terrain was harsh; I was in slippers. The rough rocks and uneven terrain make it hard to keep my balance.
Then I saw a break in the trees to an open field “maybe I can get an idea of where I am or at least where to go.
Then I heard a blood-curdling roar from above the tree. My blood ran cold.
It’s going to be from whatever is casting that shadow up above the tree cover, whatever it was loud.

“Okay, I should go deeper into the forest” it’s felt like my only chance to make out of this alive.
I went into the densest parts of the forest, but there were still patches where you could see through the treetop cover.
There was an unavoidable break in the tree cover, a small patch of an open field, but I saw a cave in the distance.
I curled up beside a boulder. Do I go for it or stay here, stay here.
Whatever was chasing me made another past through the break in the forest.
It was a big vulture-like bird with a massive wingspan, and I could swear that its wings looked like they were on fire. Smoke was in the giant bird jet stream.
I was trying to get a better look at him by poking my head a little one. Then it saw me.
“Oh, shit!” the bird started a bank at 90 degrees and was circling back fast; this hiding spot ain’t good no more I going to make to the cave, but I could not move.
I was hyperventilating. I could not move. I know the bird is coming for me. I could hear my heart like it was out of my chest and next to my ear.
But I kept telling myself move, you gotta move, or you die. I could hear the bird he was getting closer; the noise of his wings cutting through the air became louder as he was closing in. I finally could move. I bolted from the rock and made a break for the cave.
The bird just missed me and grabbed the boulder. I looked up and saw the bird climbing again. The bird was generating a lot of heat. “What are you!?” the bird went out of view, and I was back in the cover of the trees. Okay, I should be okay for now. I slowed down. I’m in the clear; then a piece of the boulder fell inches away from my face.

I froze was a few seconds and slowly looked up and saw that the bird was breaking the boulder into smaller pieces from the hole the bird made in the trees in the treetops. This bird is very intelligent. The good news was it did not know where I was, but it was throwing the pieces of the boulder into trees to destroy my cover.
I moved again pieces of the boulder were breaking through the canopy from everywhere. A part broke through and clip me while I was bobbing and weaving, “I think the bird grabbing more boulders. I got back up and bolted again for the cave.
I was out the open; I did not see or hear the bird. I am going to make it. Almost to the entrance to the cave, then a massive boulder crashed in front of the cave blocking the entrance. I stopped hard and looked. There was an away around the gigantic boulder; there was none.
“Oh no!?” going to hurry back into the trees but the bird flapped its wings and sent a huge gust of wind, blowing me back into the boulder when I had attempted to make a run back to the trees and knocked the wind out of me and the heat from the blast and the bird was making me dizzy. The heat was like I was in an oven.
This is it I am going to die the bird went and one leg and looked like it would end me. I covered my face and prepared for the end. I cried. Then I heard explosions, and I opened my eyes and saw that the bird was being flanked by someone or something. The bird squeaked, looking around at whatever hitting it; it got flanked from the other side, then from behind; the bird looked like it could not take anymore and took flight once again.
The heat made me weak I could not get up, I began to see the people that saved me they began to appear out of bushes and other areas and they wore masks. They surrounded me, one approached me. I looked up and I tried to say timidly “Thank you for saving …… wait, Don't?!
