I'm Mikoschele and I have been working on a writing contest/Project/Event for the past 9 Months.

I have finally finished it, it's just that I'm now stuck with it and no one to take part in it.

It's my first take on this so I'm unsure how it's going to go, but all I know is that it has been a sugar rush ever since I came up with it.

So, the assistance to this would be, does anybody know how to properly promote something like this?

I have been going through different scenarios, have chatted with different publisher and have been at it for quite some time.

But mostly it ends with either me breaking a Rule of Self-Publishing (earlier days) Or just being in the wrong section of writing space.

I've been through Discord, Forums, Publishers, Publisher Websites (Webnovel, Royal Road) and let's just say, what’s expected from me is to have something to show off with.

To show how interested people are in it... I'm not gonna lie makes sense. It's just.... (Rambling ensues)

To the Point, from your opinion what's the best point to go at it?

Examples:

1. Talk to the publishers of Authors and ask them if they are interested.

2. Promoted it in other Communities.

3. Promote it in other Communities, while having checked up with the moderation if it is okay.

4. Make a payed promotion for a targeted audience.

5. Ask People, personally if they are interested to join.

Those are 5 Things that came to my mind while going through this. I ask you guys If there are more options or better ways to go at it in general?

Side Note, I have talked with Wings and He said I quote XD “You can post the content on the site, and if it received enough attention and managed to prove itself, we can discuss this again to see if we can cooperate.” So, I assume, that If it works out a Collaboration with RoyalRoad, could be possible and with it more Events and Stuff for you guys.

I also talked with the moderators on Webnovel about people there taking part in the Event, and they said as long as it is not a contracted Series, taking part in the Event is allowed and if proven enough a collaboration with them would also be okay. Or better said “Write an E-Mail at Webnovel with the idea and concept and you might get a chance to see it, but how it is eight now I’m not sure if they take that offer up” One of the Moderators said that. So, it’s interesting to say the least and collaboration with other Publisher Sites might make influx of Stories and Authors much more interesting.

That’s about the information I gathered over the last 9 Months to the Project. If anyone is interested in taking part in the Event, then just check out the Post in which I will promote it. Good luck to me breaking another Rule, because of neglections.
