《Road》Chapter 4

Its been a week since I first came to this world. I passed most of this time in the dungeon and managed to increase my level to 15, my Slime to level 18, and my Monster Breeder Skill to level 10. They reached their current level three days ago and since then I only activated my skill while I was going to sleep. In this three, day my spear proved to be a good investment since it made killing the slimes much more easier.
When my Monster Breeder Skill reached to level 5. A screen popped up in front of me.
Monster Breeder Skill Evolved
You can now see simple descriptions about caught monsters.
Seeing this I quickly looked at my slime's description.
Slime
Slimes are the lowest level Tier 1 monsters. They can absorb other slimes to gain increased experience. They can create items inside them and drops those when they are slain.
'Slimes can create items? Wow. That must be the reason for the item rule. Well, I don't care as long as I can grind mana stone.'
I shook my head. "The big day," I said to myself. This was the day I would try to catch another monster. Though I didn't know what monster I could take down. "I will think about that after the bath." I quickly made my way to the door and 'escaped.' I walked out of the cave and waved to the guards as goodbye. This was another change. After the first few days, they stopped looking if I gained any items. "They probably think I am only going there to sleep." Well. That didn't change anything, since I didn't gain any items. In time, that rule started to seem as unnecessary.
I reached in front of a big building in a few minutes. Got inside and threw a small copper to a bowl. I made my way inside a room from a door that was under the sign 'Young Male' and reached beside the pool of hot water. I quickly got rid of my clothes and jumped in. I leaned back on the pool's border and relaxed. A few minutes past in peaceful silence then I saw a movement at the corner of my eye. It was a woman. Jade. She looked at me from the door and made a come gesture. I shook my head quickly. She did it again which I answered the same. She then put her hand on her head and started walking towards me.
When she was close she stopped. “Why didn't you come?”

I looked at her blankly, not knowing how to answer that. I went with honesty. “I didn't want you to see me naked.”
She sighed. “Do you think I care about your body?” She shook her head. “Anyway. I have a job for you. I put together a team of four, with you five. We will go to the catacombs to grind experience. I thought you would be very useful there.” I opened my mouth to ask a question but she just shook her head. “We will be leaving as soon as possible. You can ask your questions on the road.”
'I was going to go for something stronger anyway. This way I can see if I can catch the monsters my team slain. Then it's decided.' I nodded to her. "I am coming, but I still don't want you to see me naked. So I need you to turn your back.
She nodded and turned back. "Be quick." I didn't answer. Instead, I started wearing my clothes.
After I was done, we started walking outside. There were three elves or half-elves waiting for us. One of them was a woman with long height, green hair, and green eyes. She had a staff strapped to her back. The other was a relatively short man with dark hair and green eyes. He had two dagger scabbards sticking out of his belt. The last person was a woman with middle height. Her hair was dark blue and her eyes were violet. Her ears were a bit longer than the other two. She had a longbow on her hand.
When we were united, Jade pointed at me and said. “This is Gidget. He is the Booster I told you about.” They nodded then the short man said “I am Wan. My class is a Rogue subclass. As you can see I fight with knives.” I nodded to him.
Then the woman with the staff came forward. "My name is Elin. I am an Elemental Mage." I nodded to her and turned to the last person in the group.
She snorted at me and said “I am an Archer. Call me Archer.”
I nodded. “Okay.” Then turned to Elin. “Your class is very interesting, though I don't even know what counts as elemental.”
She smiled. "That's to be expected. Not even I know every element. Anything can be passed as an element and has spells to them. Like gold or water. Though I am generally using fire since it is easy to understand and powerful."

I nodded. “So what is there in the Catacombs?” I asked to no one.
Jade answered. "It's a Tier 2, Level 10 dungeon filled with undead."
I nodded again. “What is Tier means?”
Jade sighed. "Tiers are a means to categorize the power of monsters with different capabilities. No monster is stronger than a monster with a higher tier. For instance, a goblin which is a Tier 2 monster, is stronger than a slime at level 25 when it's level 1. 'So I need to find higher and higher tier monsters. And if I catch a powerful tier 2 monster today, I can increase my level faster.' Jade continued "Its different for people. You can be a Tier 1 and still be stronger than a Tier 2. Though it only happens in peculiar cases, It's mostly about one's class. Your class, for example, will have a lower firepower, than a lower Tier Warrior, assuming you don't find a good spell you can cast of course."
I nodded. “How can I increase my Tier?”
"It will increase when you hit level 25."
“25? I gain at least one skill every five levels. Does that mean I will have lots of skill in Tier 2 or..”
Jade finished for me. "It won't continue like that. You will get all your basic skills in the first 25 levels when you are Tier 2 you will stop leveling up until you pick another class.."
“Will I need a different kind of class or can I take the same class again?”
Jade shook her head. “You can't take the same class again. And about what class to take, it's generally recommended to take a Tier 2 class.”
I nodded. “How can I find a Tier 2 class?”
She looked at me. “They drop from Tier 2 Dungeon Bosses. That's why people grind bosses and sell them.”
I was surprised. I turned to her from the road. “Is that what we are going to do?”
She beamed at me. “Yes!” I was taken aback by her outburst. Her excitement was evident on her face. As soon as it came, excitement suddenly left her face and she donned her usual serious 'face'. Seeing this, I couldn't help but chuckle.
Then unexpectedly Archer talked. "There is another way." I looked at her questioningly. She smirked slightly and continued. "You can take another Tier 1 class at Tier 2. That way you will get fewer stat points and weaker skills but will get another perk. I recommend this since there is no known Tier 2 to Booster class."
I put my hand on my chin. 'Booster skills already get stronger with me. I don't need stronger skills. What I need is a higher mana cap. It means I need an Int class.' I nodded to her. “I think I will do what you said.” She just smirked and continued to look ahead.
After walking a few more minutes, we reached in front of a big area closed with fences. We got inside from a metal gate and made our way towards the big gate at the center of the field. Jade got in front and turned to us. "Do any of you have any questions?" She looked at me at the end. 'Well, she knows me.'
I held my hand up. She looked at me and I asked my question. “Won't we create a party before going in?”
She looked confused. “What is a party?”
'What?'
I gestured her to wait. “Let me try something. Invite Jade.” As soon as I said it she slightly flinched and after a second, there was a window in front of me.
Jade accepted your party invite. Your party now has two people.
I nodded. “Good.” Others looked at me. “Invite Wan, invite Elin, invite Archer.” Then there were three windows. The last one:
Lakeesha accepted your party invite. Your party now has five people.
I looked at 'Archer'. I opened my mouth to ask her but she just showed me her fist, so I closed my mouth.
Jade cleared her throat. I looked at her. “Tell me about this party. Maybe you can tell me how you know about it even though you knew nothing else too. Hm?”
I gestured her to wait. “Party Settings.” It didn't work. “Party Menu.”

I quickly told about my findings to others. Though of course, I didn't tell them Lakeesha's class. 'She might beat me.' They seemed surprised. They too tried to open the screen, but it didn't work. After some discussion, they decided to leave settings as they are. This was great for me since I would gain a lot of experience like this.
Since I was the leader, I took the lead and touched the door.

Embrace the Blade [Drafts 1&2]
James Ransom grew up unable to do the simplest of life’s tasks. Legs were malformed; he was in a wheel chair as long as he could remember. Suffering from a severe form of muscular exhaustion making him unable to use his hands for long despite his resolve to fight through it. All the challenges facing him he still was able to enjoy reading and video games; but a tragic car accident will change his life forever and perhaps he will be given the opportunity to reincarnate into another world. Special thanks to Mikaelle for the Synopsis. This is my first book/fic so constructive critisism would be very nice. Expect a lot of grammatical errors but hopefully not too many spelling errors. Explanation for the tags; Action/Adventure/Fantasy: These don't really need an explanation, Comedy: I'll try to be funny hopefully I won't fail miserably, Romance: I like romantic sub-plots, LitRPG: No explanation needed but I am using my own system, Reincarnation/Summoned Hero: Not sure which one applies here I'm inclined to think both so I put both, Reader Interactive: I put this one here for my own amusment I'll allow everyone to help create the MC's love interest and maybe a few other things we will also hold a few contests.. Male Lead: self explanitory, Magic: Also easy, Strong Lead: Think of this as more of a weak-to-strong tag the MC will be OP but not till later in the story. Warning: Since this fic is labeled as 'Strategy' I believe that the readers should know as much as possible about the situations presented in the story so they can reach their own conclusions about how a fight could have been won or lost. That means: there are a lot of information dumps early on. I don't know how long I'll be able to write this fic but I promise to keep my few readers informed in case I decide to drop it or something.
