Chapter 9
Caddernod’s Mystery
Caddernod was talking through his arch-home when Remuka appeared from the door standing in front of Caddernod to be observed, When Caddernod saw her he had a smile in his face, he was going to speak something when he abruptly stopped and motioned Remuka to sit by the Tea cup cause it was his time to have some too.
Caddernod said with a smile, “Yes.”
Remuka said, “I came to say the King has left the palace on a mission as a soldier, not even as a knight along with some other master, and the warrior with them is an untrained one Leofin.”
Caddernod laughed, maybe for someone to laugh when in good mood is right as everything may appear humorous but for Caddernod who have mastered emotions, this was the first time Remuka has seen so.
Caddernod said, “It does not take a warrior to destroy all the dangers, by the way there are other fighters and don’t underestimate that elf.”
“Isn’t it time you performed the ceremony and made someone else the warren Warrymn.”
“How many times should I tell you, Warren Warrymn and the Gemnian Gemnona protects this realm, we have a Gemnian Gemnona alive, the warren Warrymn cannot be made at the time when the realm needs, the realm chooses its guardian.”
“The King.”
“As per the custom, you shall be a sorceress, one of a kind, but the next King shall be his own son as the tradition says.”
“He does not have a son.”
“How do you say so?”
“I know my father.”
Caddernod laughed again and said, “A man can be a father of a child by flesh and blood but by spirit or soul, not necessary. A man may not be a father to a child by flesh and blood but can be by spirit or soul, but when there is a child of both flesh and blood, of spirits and soul, of same energy, patterns, then that man received a true gift, his son is completely his own.”

So you are saying my father has a child in another manner, by spirit, and I am only his daughter by flesh.”
“He was one among the few gifted to have you as the child, but yes The King has another child, where his spirit and the child’s is the same, he might not even have known of it, you know, Warren Warrymn was gifted the same way.”
“So you are saying he has a child by spirit.”
“Yes, he is the few among gifted ones, and I am going to tell you what is not supposed to say to everyone.”
Remuka’s eyes gleamed, she thought as usual Caddernod was going to teach her a new forbidden spell. She advanced forward.
Caddernod sighed seeing her interest. He said, “You are one among the few upon whom I trust one among the powerful few, the new warren Warrymn was selected at the time of Raddak’s death.”
Remuka suddenly popped from her chair, she never expected to her this news, she knew Caddernod knew where Warren Warrymn lived but never expected him to share with her.
Caddernod said, “The Present Warren Warrymn of this realm is in the same cavern as that of the King. He has his friend with him, another fighter of his own age. He is powerful, so protect him.”
Remuka started to babble not understanding what to say, “But, but you said the realm would choose at the time of need and Raddak’s son was hidden.”
“Yes he was with a great master who trains him to be a warrior.”
“Mystcot.”
Caddernod smiled but did not reply to the answer. Remuka understanding it’s time to leave began to move towards the door.
But Caddernod began, “Remuka, daughter of Glinda, you area a true sorceress by heart, its time you are made one of the protectors of this realm, and I suggest you not to always stay in the cavern, it will cause suspicion.”
“You really don’t need to turn me into a protector, you know.”
“What did you think that what you see around here is our realm? There are thousands of planets in our realm, underground drows and dwarfs, there are lands under sea, seas under lands, Reverill forest is just one division of this realm, this world is round, you will reach the Reverill forest if you move away from those making a round, there are enemies unknown and who rules over all of them is the King. Yes, his crown sees it all. Once even an elf became the King, once dwarf, once an orc, what you see in few things. We are in lack of protectors, the Warren Warrymn and Gemnet Gemnona are the most powerful guardians, this is the most impartial realm.”

Remuka was dumbfounded, she knew the sorcerers lived in a land far from the King and her father fell in love with her mother while travelling.
Caddernod said, “The dimensioner is interested in granting you powers to control forces of nature, he wants you to get closer to the nature.”
“But how?”
“Better ask him.”
“Who is the dimensioner?”
A sound rolled into the room. It said, “I Am.” and then came a man of the age seventeen with ordinary robes of that of peddler, he smiled at Caddernod and Caddernod bowed. Caddernod said, “Last time you appeared you were an old man.”
“So were you Caddernod, the high priest of natural forces.”
Remuka said, “You are the dimensioner, you, wasn’t it you who gave me this bracelet of power because I gave you my food.”
“Yes. Now Remuka, I want you to go to the Reverill forest, without taking any sources of food, you may take your items you always carry with you.” said the Dimensioner.
“What will happen if I will not do so?”
“Many misunderstand that power is given, power is something which you have to earn which you have been doing all these years, if you will not do so, you will just remain as you are.”
“As you say so.” accepted Remuka.
“The time comes when this realm is in peril, Leptecotors are rising to destroy this realm, Krokon is now wielding a sword, the more you earn power fast, the better, when you are ready you will be called, now you may leave.”
As soon as the dimensioner said this Remuka understood what had to be done and she vanished into thin air to reach the Reverill forest, the dimensioner saw to it that she reached the forest. Her powers were taken away temporarily. To earn more some things are taken sometimes.
The dimensioner turned to Caddernod, “She has come back, she is swirling chaos again, The Lady of Chaos is back.”
“I thought she was turned into the prison, if she has broken out then, has she made a new sword.”
“Yes, of Krokon and Mermokia.”
“Great, really great, do you want me to make more weapons?”
“I am not the one to say to you what to do and if I wanted any weapons I would have made it myself. What I want is that you to be just prepared.”
“The swirl is getting higher, a war is approaching.”
“Yes Caddernod, it is better that we mobilize individual battles in individual regions, the powers ones can handle there.”
“Not all.”
“Yes, the only way to drop it is to chain her, the Lady of Chaos, the Warren Warrymn and Gemnet Gemnona has to do it together. She has to be put in the chains of lights.”
“Or be destroyed.”
“No. Once she is destroyed, a more powerful lady will rise.”
“As you say so, the dimensioner.”’
When Remuka opened her eyes she was in the forest, her artifacts had turned into ordinary jewelry, made of glass, onyx and other precious elements. She tried to summon a ball of fire in her hand but could not as her powers had left her.
Firelight appeared from behind. An orc said, “Welcome Remuka, we were eaiting for you.”

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

Follow the story of Tai as he travels the Aether Universe, getting used to the new normal, making a name for himself and becoming a legend. --Author's Note-- This is my first book here and this book is inspired by The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. The way to get status points were based on the way in Unlimited Power - The Arcane Path. Note: I'm only borrowing the way to get status points as I thought it was cool. I am an amateur author and am writing this as a cool hobby to get me through quarantine. If you see any grammar mistakes or anything, please let me know. Criticism is accepted, but don't use that as an excuse to just hate the book. If you don't like the book, tell me why so I can improve upon it. Cheers! Schedule: 1 chap a day

I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this.
