Connor didn't think of the strange occurrence again for the rest of the day, as he finished his work. He decided that he was going to go for a walk, before doing the usual of numbing himself with booze.

Not far from the library was a place where the homeless got together, where people came to give them free food. He didn't come here all that often anymore, but he thought he'd catch up on a mate of his, to see how he was going.

Walking, he tried to see his mate through the little herd of people and getting closer, Connor believed his friend wasn't even there.

He was just about to turn around, when he saw someone that might know where his friend might be. He was seen before he got there, and he waved back to his friend's friend.

"Hey mate, haven't seen you in a while, been busy hey? Reckon I could bum a smoke of ya?"

Connor shrugged, "Yeah man, where's Shane?"

The other person put a hand on Connor and said, with a smile on his face, "He got up there man, you know he was last doing the magazine, he ended up getting a job in some warehouse hey. Yeah, he's good man, you should go and see him."

Connor smiled back, giving him a smoke, "That's awesome, do you have his number or somethin?"

A phone came out, which gave Connor the idea to bring his out and he got 'Shane's' number. "Thanks dude, nice to see ya again, get in there aye. Grubs up." Connor nodded towards the van pulling up.

"Right on! I'm starvin"." He said, walking away.

Connor didn't see why it would be bad to ring his mate Shane now, so he did. They actually didn't know all that much about each other, they just went through things together, which made them somewhat close in a weird way.

Connor waited, and then waited again, as the line went to message bank.

"Yo mate, its Connor, just got ya number from Pete and thought I'd give ya a call. Give us a call dude, let's catch up sometime."

Walking back to the library, he noticed someone under the bridge, looking out towards the Casino in the city. They were there just leisurely leaning against the railing…It wasn't the relaxed posture that she used that caught his attention, with that small sexy figure and the clothes...He was pretty sure that it was that 'Andrea' chick!

Stuck in place, on whether to go ask some questions and make the tally go to his favour instead of hers, Connor wondered if it would be worth it.

Looking back to the library where his car was, he started walking towards it.

It wasn’t worth it…

"Connor…" Her yell told him to stop, and so he turned to see her running towards him. Sighing, he stood there waiting, not wanting to meet her halfway.

As much as he very much liked that figure running towards him, with her tits moving so seductively…

Ah, there was something wrong here, Connor thought. Her body looks great and all but the personality…

"Connor, sorry, uh I was wondering. Oh wow, didn't think this was going to be so hard to ask. Uh, please tell me about Cameron." She looked up at him, waiting for his response, yet Connor didn't know whether to laugh or just turn to continue to his car.

"I know this seems weird, I've been there, but I know that I would like to hear who he was."

Connor sighed, nothing was working, nothing seemed to be making sense and he didn't want to be here. "Look, Andrea is it? I'm off home, I need a drink, something to eat, maybe in that order. You can either come with me or get nothing. I'm not in the mood to stand here all night." And with that, Connor walked towards his car and for the two-minute walk, she was following.

Connor wondered if he had said the right thing, as she was most definitely thinking he would take her with him. He saw that she even waited patiently at the passenger side door for him to unlock it!

Taking a moment, he thought about the fact that he could potentially let some psycho into his car, what if she was a thief?

Then another thought came to him and that was…How can she stand there thinking I meant what I had said?

She followed me all this way like a loyal puppy!

Strange...

Connor looked at her, as she was staring back at him and he couldn't help his curiosity.

He unlocked the door, admitting to himself that there was something about her that he just had to find out. Another factor was that she seemed to look really pretty...Her looks seemed to already play a weakness to him, yet, for some reason, that was it...When she looked at him or talked to him, he felt nothing. It was unexplainable...

As he started the car, Connor shrugged, he didn't seem to find the want to care of the potential bad that could happen anyway. If she were a thief, she might not find anything in his messy home. If she were some psycho, perhaps she’ll be some entertainment tonight…

Unlocking the door for her, she got in and he was worried about any future times she might do this...What if she gets into a creep’s car one day? Well one besides myself…

He admitted then, that he was also still a bit freaked out by Andrea!

As he drove, he side glanced at Andrea, thinking it was the strangest evening with the strangest girl, and felt it was going to go all wrong with those odds!

He asked if she wanted anything from the takeaway store and booze shop, at first, she said no but accepted a small meal and a normal bottle of booze with some coke.

Connor parked his car out the front of his garage and cut the motor, he didn't want to ask, but he was curious.

"How do you know my brother's name?"

Finally looking at her, she was just about to put a chip into her mouth, but she stopped and looked at him.

Connor waited for her to answer, he was just about to give up and get out, when she replied, "He told me."

Connor nearly spoke out of anger to the shortness of her answer, but decided to get out, with a few mumbles. Obviously, she had to have met him prior to his death...But, he himself would have remembered seeing Andrea! Connor was confused.

He thought the car was no use for an argument, but really, his house wasn't either. This was too silly for Connor that he didn't care, if she wanted to go home, the earlier the better.

At the door of his house, he turned to her, again, she was eating a chip. He looked at her sexy lips, slowly chewing, and then her eyes, that were lowered like she felt it wrong to be here or something. She didn't move, just ate and waited. Was she not good with people? Shouldn't she initiate...Something!?

Connor couldn't help but laugh, he dropped the keys and laughed again. "This is stupid, you know, Cameron's died, what use could I possibly be to you?"

She looked rather comical, she obviously thought otherwise, what the hell is this woman up to? He thought.

Connor sighed as he picked up the keys and let her in, mumbling his apology of the state of the house.

He got out two glasses, filled his own and went to sit down on his recliner without a word. He heard her fill her glass, get her food and sat on the other recliner, next to him.

Turning the TV on, they watched it in silence, making things more confusing to Connor by the minute. She seemed quite happy just to wait it out, by eating and sipping her drink.

Connor was certain that she was waiting for him to talk.

Well…Two can play this game!

"You freak me out, you know that?!" Connor finally said, after about an hour of silence. It had been weird for the most part, but he had also felt comfortable, that she wasn't going to be dangerous or trash his house...Well, trash his house more than it already is...

"I'm sorry, sometimes I'm freaked out too...If that helps." She looked at him, eyes wide, waiting.

Connor didn't know whether to continue or not, but he remembered he wanted her out as fast as possible, which didn't seem to be working either. "Cameron died two years ago, he was my twin brother and he was a much better person then me and most likely you! You strange woman…That enters stranger’s cars and house’s"

As Connor mumbled, he couldn’t help but lower his head in memories. His brother was someone his father loved without much effort. "He had a normal life, didn't take much, gave a lot and didn't complain much. He liked helping people...He was a social worker, mostly for kids, but he did unpaid work at home. Whenever someone in the family needed help, he would work out what was wrong before you even knew it yourself, and you were the one with the problem. He could be very smart in some factors, people…People he understood, he seemed to read them well and most of the time, he was right." Connor paused and looked at Andrea, "He was passionate with his work, didn't have time to go and experience his own life, he had much rather help other people instead...His time was too soon."

Connor sighed, taking another drink, "He was my best friend. He knew about things that my own father didn't, he wanted to help me, but I said no...He got cancer, after three short months it was terminal, and there was no time to say goodbye…He had taken it so easily, as though he was treating another patient. He seemed rested right to the very end."

Connor saw a tear go down Andrea's cheek as she continued to stare at him. He got a napkin and gently wiped it off. Strangely, her crying face made his heart ache...He didn't want to see it!

"Why are you crying?"

Andrea breathed out and licked her lips, "I know how you feel."

Connor stood up, his bag of rubbish fell to the floor, "You know how I feel? What you have a best friend gone? Taken half of you with them? Never to return! A father that doesn't even know who you are? That you know people on the streets because you've been there? Do you drink every night because it helps you forget? You know how I feel? What kind of bullshit is that?!"

Connor was angry now, and as he was looking at her, he walked over to her seat and leaned on the arm rests, closer to her. Andrea looked a little scared but after a moment, she nodded and said, "Similar, yes."

Connor looked at her like she was an alien from out of space, how can anyone know what he's been through in his life. Connor let go of the chair and stood up again, still staring at Andrea. He didn't know what to say anymore, sitting down on his chair, he took another drink and put his head back, looking at the ceiling.

Andrea broke the silence, "My twin sister and I used to go to the art gallery, we would sit there. She would draw a picture, beautiful pictures, and I would do a pattern. We wouldn't do much more, we watched the people, their reactions, the kids with the play artwork. It was something we did together. After, at night, we would go under the bridge, look out at the water, watch the city cats, sometimes go for boat rides…Today was the first time I went there…" Connor waited as she paused, "Since two and a half years ago. Six months before she died…"

Connor looked at her with wide eyes, breathed in, but nothing came out. At a loss for words, he just stared at her knowing that they did, in fact, have something in common. They had both lost their twin siblings...At the same time...?

Twin...She had a twin...

Another unexplainable pain made his heart ache and Connor put a hand to his heart, feeling like he was going to have something like a heart attack...

After a short amount of silence, that both of them seemed to need, Connor put his hand down to his side, trying not to bother about the pain he felt.

He shrugged, "I don't know what to say, Andrea."

He looked at her, as she was looking back at him and licking her lips.

She moved so that she was actually facing him and put her hands in her lap. "I met your brother, a couple of weeks ago. It totally put me out of whack, my whole miserable life changed." Andrea opened her mouth to speak again but closed it, then side glanced Connor's unbelievable reaction. "No one else seems to see him but me."

Conner could not believe what he was hearing, he must be dreaming. He picked up his half full glass and skulled it, hoping the burn going down his throat would wake him up.

He saw Andrea do exactly the same, she looked a bit freaked out now, she was breathing heavy when she said, "You are the first person to know this much about him, I got a ghost buster person into the hospital where I work and I didn't get much out of him, he said there's something there and left it at that...By that time, I was used to Cameron's presence and I didn't follow through with finding out."

Andrea got up from her chair and went to the kitchen, there he watched her get another drink. When the glass was full, she had another sip, closing her eyes, "We are not dreaming Connor. This is really happening."

He saw her looking at him and he understood, not to freak out, believe it or not but don't freak out. Which still didn't make sense to him, as far as he was concerned, he had not seen his brother, or anyone else for that matter, as a ghost. But she knew about him and for some reason he still wanted to hear more.

Connor turned to watch TV, he didn't see the pictures or hear the words. He was thinking whether or not to take in what the woman had said, that he had just meet today, into consideration. He skimmed through the facts in his head, she knew Cameron's name, she thought that he had been Cameron and, remembering her smile, he was pretty sure Cameron would put that on her face. He also thought of the negatives, that she could be dead set crazy, with some kind of spiritual know how, she could be a ghost herself!

He hadn't tried that yet, in fact, now he was interested, "So can you touch him?"

He turned to her, she was walking back to the recliner, with two drinks, with astonishment, one was his. He didn't notice that she had taken his cup away.

"No, but it didn't happen all that often, even with him as a spirit, I didn't want to be rude and walk through him." She said, sipping again at her drink.

Connor was so tempted to touch her and find out, that he put out his hand, wondering if she knew what he was thinking.

Andrea put hers out without any complaint and touched his, nothing extreme happened, they were just touching hands. Connor pulled his away, crossing out that notion on the head, and went back to thinking again, anything to make this have more sense!

Andrea put her feet up like she was right at home and it made Connor furious, what the hell is going on here, he thought, I've adopted a crazy girl.

She turned to him and said, "I would show you, but I don't know if it would work. That and...I already look crazy."

You got that bloody right! And now...She knows what he was thinking too! He groaned, not wanting to take anymore tonight. He wasn't going to bring up another word.

And silence filled the room.
