《Blackjack Thorn, Space Pirate》Chaper 1 - Heist Gone Wrong

“Fire the Graser!”, ordered Captain Blackjack Thorn. The rear warp ring of the freighter, Unknown Mass, burst into corona arcs of white light, degrading through yellow to orange. Capacitor banks blew in a blue-green glow as they discharged.
Dimitri Zamov brought Blackjack’s ship, the Green Lady, alongside the Unknown Mass as the boarding party got ready to cross. Blackjack, his second in command, Campo Tupua, and six marines exited the airlock and crossed over to the hull outside the engineering section in the rear of the ship.
Once they reached there, Campo anchored the little robot they called the “can opener” and started it out cutting through the plate so they could board the ship. Blackjack activated a local gravity generator to keep the air sealed and plate in place while it was cut. This gave them another element of surprise.
Barrington May was manning the weapons station and taking potshots at the command area in the front of the Unknown Mass with a low-power laser. He was just making small holes to keep the crew occupied while Blackjack and Campo worked their magic.
After fifteen minutes, Campo yelled, “The hull’s cut. Let’s blow the plate out!”, as he turned off the local gravfield generator.
The group entered the hole in pairs with blasters ready. Campo moved to the control panel to disable the ship’s gravity once Blackjack located the cargo of refined thallium cuprate needed for faster than light warp drives. The cargo would be worth more than 100 megacredits, which would be a tidy sum for the crew.
“Dimitri, it’s container 12. Campo, drop the gravity,” ordered Blackjack.
The containers were carried in a ring around the central spine of the Unknown Mass. Container 12 was facing the Green Lady on the last of the four rings, nearest the rear. Dimitri was already maneuvering the loader robots towards the container to move it into the Green Lady’s cargo ring.

When the ship went into null g, the boarding crew exited through the hole. Three marines were jetting backward, covering their retreat, when a spacesuited figure entered the engineering bay. One of the marines let a blaster bolt off to scare them back.
“We got a curious George,” yelled Finn Galloway as he let the bolt go.
“Keep them occupied, we’re almost home,” responded Campo.
A second crew entered the bay and shot at the retreating pirates. Finn and the two others fired bolts in response, scattering the two crew members.
The boarding crew entered the Green Lady’s well bay as the cargo container was being locked on. “Dimitri, get us out of here and ready to spin. We’ll check the payday,” sent Blackjack on the comlink.
They unsuited their armor and climbed up to the cargo bay level to open up the container that was attached to the loading port.
“Activate the power feed and let’s check the inventory,” said Blackjack to Campo.
Campo moved over to the comp screen on the side of the cargo doors and touched it to power up the container systems and pulled up the inventory. He then sent it off to Sophie, shaking his head at the name Dimitri gave the AI comp. He decided to check the environmentals and noticed the container still held an atmosphere and livable temperature even if it was low. “We got a problem here, Blackjack.”
Blackjack looked at the telltales and told the six marines with him to go get armed again.
The marines hurried back with their weapons and deployed in a semicircle to cover the cargo doors. Once set, Campo hit the release to open the door, preparing for an assault. Instead, they found a bundle wrapped up in a space blanket.
“What the hell?!” exclaimed Blackjack.
Campo walked over and lifted the blanket. “We got a bigger problem. It’s a kid!”

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 1 chapter per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] The cover art is courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. The Beauty Of The End
William was abandoned by his family and left with a mother who detests him. He is forced into a life of crime, stealing just to feed his mother and himself. But that changes when he's given an opportunity to turn over a new leaf in a world of magic, war and tragedy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Beauty Of The End takes place in a fantasy medieval world where magic exists in multiple forms. William is a boy abandoned by his family and left with a mother who detests him, and at a young age is forced into crime just to feed the both of them. But one day he is visited by a knight order who tell him he has potential for magic. Listening to their words, he leaves to start a new life and train to become a mage like them. The Beauty Of The End updates every day and I'm hoping to push out 100+ chapters consisting off, at the minimum, five arcs. Sometimes there might be double uploads to make up for a break I might've taken. I have most of the story planned out in my head and am just writing down where I think the story should go. I have planned up to arc 2 and maybe some ideas for 3, but that's about it. Thoughts and criticism are appreciated, there's obviously going to be grammar and maybe spelling mistakes that'll I'll try to spot and fix. I might occasionally post chapters that explain certain parts of the world, e.g. lore, countries, organizations, species, magic etc.

The Crimson Castle
This is a LitRPG that follows Claire Woodward, A somewhat nerdy high school senior, who finds herself trapped in a video game, The Crimson Castle, she had just booted up for the first time. The Low Magic Fantasy World of The Crimson Castle is unlike any other. The world consists of only two things, the walled city of Dal and the wilderness that surrounds it. Each night, the wilderness outside of the city disappears and for five minutes the world trembles. Once the five minutes are up, the wilderness reappears, but it is always different from any previous' day wilderness. This means each day the city of Dal is surrounded by something new and exciting. Sometimes, the city of Dal finds itself on top of a snowy mountain, the next day in a foggy swamp, the next day after that on a tropical island, and so on. Inhabitants of Dal that go out into the wilderness are called adventurers. The further adventurers get from city of Dal, the rarer the loot they will find, but also the more treacherous their travels will become. Do not worry though, it is impossible to die in the wilderness. If your health reaches zero you will transported back to the city of Dal alive and well. Will Claire be able to figure out why she was transported into this world, and better yet, will she be able to escape it?
