Pasaron unas semanas, Abel ya se había recuperado y en estos momentos el viudo se encontraba volviendo del velorio de Clara rumbo a su casa. Fue un día bastante pesado, sobre todo por tener que ver en tan mal estado a los padres de su esposa, por lo que el viudo solo quería descansar un poco en soledad.
Al final, Abel decidió continuar viviendo en su casa, en parte gracias a la insistencia de su padre con que no se rindiera y en parte porque tenía que preparar las maletas para ir de viaje a Italia dentro de unos pocos días.
El viudo decidió ir a recorrer el lugar donde tuvo su luna de miel con Clara con el objetivo de tratar de asimilar su partida y prepararse para tratar de arrancar de nuevo al igual que como pasó con Ana.
—Próxima estación: Museo de Ciencias Naturales.
Abel con cansancio miro al cartel iluminado en la puerta del subte indicando su destino y se quedó mirando el cartel unos cuantos minutos, hasta que Abel se dio cuenta de que alguien había interrumpido su visión.
Se trataba de una anciana de unos 70-75 años, con el pelo blanco y vestida de manera muy elegante y coqueta. La anciana tenía unos aretes de diamantes y un collar de perlas, muchos anillos con piedras preciosas se encontraban por sus dedos y tenía unos anteojos circulares bastante llamativos y exagerados.
La anciana miraba a Abel a los ojos como indicando que le diera su asiento, provocando que el joven preguntara:
—¿Quiere sentarse, señora?
—Le agradecería si me diera el asiento, señor—Comentó la señora con una sonrisa amable.
Abel se levantó de su asiento e intercambió lugares con la señora. Estando parado desde el subte observó a anciana con aturdimiento, Abel juraría que había visto a esta anciana antes en este mismo subte.

Por otra parte, la anciana notó la mirada fija del joven y preguntó con algo de preocupación:
—¿Está bien, señor? Lo noto cansado…
—Sí, sí,...—Respondió Abel mirando a la señora con aturdimiento—Estoy bien, solo acabo de tener un Déjà vu.
—Mire usted qué interesante—Comentó la anciana con ganas de conversar con alguien—¿Acaso le recuerdo a alguien familiar?
—No creo que se parezca a nadie que conozca...—Respondió Abel mirando los llamativos anteojos redondos de la anciana.
—Entonces puede ser que la situación te recuerde a algo que has olvidado…—Comentó la anciana con una sonrisa—O tal vez algo que hayas tratado de olvidar…
—Puede ser... últimamente, quiero olvidarme de muchas cosas...—Comentó Abel con pena y cansancio; el viudo ya estaba cansado de vivir tantas tragedias y desde su opinión: si pudiera olvidarse de todo y empezar de cero sería lo mejor que le pudiera ocurrir.
—Nunca es bueno tratar de olvidarse de las cosas...—Comentó la anciana con preocupación—Uno puede correr el riesgo de terminar recordando las cosas de forma distorsionada a como fueron en la realidad.
—Recordar todo como si fuera una historia de fantasía me parece bien…—Respondió Abel con cansancio—Al menos en los cuentos las cosas siempre terminan con finales felices.
—Pero fingir que nada ocurrió es injusto—Comentó la anciana con desaprobación—¿Acaso te gustaría que te recuerden como alguien que nunca fuiste? No hay peor destino del hombre triste, que ser recordado como un hombre alegre.
—Supongo que tiene razón...—Dijo Abel, aunque no parecía estar muy convencido de las palabras de la anciana.
—Estación: Museo de Ciencias Naturales.
Sin despedirse de la anciana, Abel se dio la vuelta y salió por la puerta del subte. Al salir, Abel miró con aturdimiento como todas las personas se movían como un cardumen hacia las escaleras del subte.
El viudo se quedó mirando a la multitud, mientras se preguntaba si estas personas se movían pensando en sus pasos o todas estaban más preocupadas por sus propios pensamientos como a él le ocurría.
Luego de mirar un rato, Abel se unió al cardumen y comenzó a caminar con pasos lentos y cansados hacia las escaleras del subte.
