I am going to explain a little bit about the various aspects of this fictional world that Haven takes place in.
First off, more information about Haven
Haven is an island nation that sits in the middle of the sea between the eastern continents and the western continents, originally colonised by pirates hundreds of years ago, the island is the remnants an extinct volcano, the country is very rich as it is able to mine a vast array of precious jewels and sell them to the rest of the world, the nation is revered as one of the most technologically advanced societies in the world, it is also considered a large military power because of its investment into defence.
Why has Haven only been acting in a peace keeping motion until now?
The king and queen before Nathan and Anna were killed two years after the start of the war, forcing the pair of them who were prince and princess at the time to take on the throne, to try and stabilise the country they signed a peace treaty with Terra Auri and the other big players in the war, this meant that they would only ever act as a peace keeper and enable them to take in refugees.
Why did the war start?
The war started originally because Terra Auri and Crystallini wanted to reclaim the land they once had.
