"With introductions over, your first assignment will begin. Lily and Neo will spar, whilst Max and Alexander make notes of their strengths and weaknesses, and vice versa afterwards. You'll have a match where your Modifications are not allowed to be used, and another round where they are".

"Both of you put the protective equipment on".

"Oh! Lily. I've changed my mind. If you can't atleast go even with Neo, you'll have to use a Rapier in the second match, just to have a feel for it, and if you excel, then I guess you'll be sticking with it. As you know, Neo is by far the weakest link here, so don't embarass yourself".

Lily didn't even speak back, she couldn't. What Mr. Zaster was saying was completely correct, all she could do was fiddle with her Glasses.

"Neo, here are three more needle packets".

"Start!".

Lily picked the Greatsword from her back and it instantly touched the floor. She couldn't pick it up for mass amounts of time, so she had to wait for Neo to walk up to her.

However, Neo wasn't stupid, and on top of this, he saw how she used the Greatsword, it was terrible.

Neo from afar, used Lily's body as target practice.

A shot was fired, and almost instantly another one was shot. Because of how small these sewing needles were, they were hard to see, so Lily could only dodge one, and she had to get the needle out of her leg. She didn't whine, nor did she make any sound, she was used to pain.

'How am I going to get taken advantage by someone like him? I'll just go upfront, what can he do?'.

Lily assumed he was weak in close combat, although it wasn't exactly true. Neo had gotten in a lot of brawls with his fists, as a lot of the time in duels, he let go of his sword by accident.

Lily ran up to Neo, and swung her Greatsword. It was quite fast, however she had almost zero control, so she couldn't stop it from going straight into the ground.

Neo took advantage of this and kicked her knee, and because of the imbalance Lily fell over instantly, and let go of her Greatsword.

It may seem harsh, however as she was falling, Neo kicked her straight in the ribs. It wouldn't break anything at all, he doesn't have that sort of power, however it would hurt, quite alot, and for someone like Lily to be beaten so easily, her pride must be in the gutter.

"Did I win?". Neo didn't feel proud, he didn't feel anything. He almost felt bad for her, but for the short time he's known her, he knew that's something she would hate.

"Lily, can you stand? 1 - 0 to Neo.". Mr Zaster announced Neo's victory whilst asking if she's okay.

Lily didn't move, instead tears rolled down her eyes.

"Give me my rapier. Now!". Lily got up, and her eyes were red, and she was crying.

'Man, why does everyone hate me, I hate this class'. Neo rolled his eyes and got back to his spot, and Lily was given her Rapier.

Lily put her left hand behind her back, and held her basic rapier forward, ready to strike.

"Start!".

Lily didn't move, instead, she jabbed her Rapier three times in succession in just a few miliseconds, which caused a three air bullets going into Neo's direction. Neo could barely understand what happened so he was unable to activate Enhancement.

As soon as they touched Neo, he was pushed back almost instantly, and his protective gear had three holes in them.

Lily didn't smile, instead, she walked off and sat back down.

"Lily. You're using your Rapier from now on, think of your Father". Mr Zaster brung up her Father, again.

"Stop mentioning my Father. You don't know me or him". Lily was ready to pounce if he mentioned her dad once again.

"I know Zack very well, I was his Teacher". Mr Zaster smiled at Lily's shocked face.

"Stop being insolent, how can I face him if you get expelled in the first year?".

Mr Zaster quickly changed the topic to Max and Alexander, the only person who checked up on Neo was Alexander and he shuffled him to his desk.

"You two, both the same rules apply, first round no Modifications. Max you can use your pistols this time".

"Start!".

As soon as Max heard the word start, he shot at Alexander whilst running towards him.

3 bullets came flying at Alexander, so he had no option but to put his shield up, as soon as this happened, Max smiled and ran to the left, and shot 3 bullets once again.

This was repeated until Alexander gave up. He couldn't do anything, he was hit by 5 bullets, and he couldn't keep up with Max, it felt like Max was playing games with Alexander.

Mr Zalster both rolled his eyes and shook his head.

Mr Zalser hummed something and healed Alexanders injuries.

"Get back to your spaces".

"Start!".

Alexander instantly used [Pantheon], and didn't rely on his shield as much, and slowly made space between himself and Max.

However, Max wasn't dull. Two of [Arrow Head] went forward, whilst one went up to ceiling, and melted into ceiling, however you could still see the blue arrow, it was just inside of the ceiling.

Max was firing as this happened, but [Pantheon] made these shots do nothing.

After a solid minute of Max shooting and running, he finally shot down all three of the [Arrow Head] behind Alexander.

"Stop!". It was Max's victory. Alexander didn't take into account [Arrow Head] as he saw him use it, however they he thought he used them and it [Pantheon], so he assumed that Max had already shot them, he didn't expect Max to wait.

"Well done Max". Alexander laughed it off whilst going to handshake Max, and he responded positively.

"It was a bad matchup for you, if I was using a sickle there was no way I would've won any of those fights aha.".

"Stop talking and go to your seats!".

"Max and Alexander, strength and weakness of Neo. Max do a strength and Alexander do a weakness".

"Oh, it seems like you have combat experience and you're able to take advantage of that".

"Max, how could you spin that into a weakness?". Mr Salster asked a follow up question.

"Well, everyone is required to do three years of Military Service, so I guess everyone else would have that experience?". Max felt bad for Neo, but he couldn't exactly not answer it.

"Correct! Alexander". Mr Salster laughed to himself.

"You don't have a reliable sense of damage. For your needles to do anything you'd need to hit multiple, which would be hard to do against someone experienced".

Mr Salster didn't say anything, he just nodded.

"Strength of Lily and Weakness, Max, Strength, Alexander, Weakness".

"You seem to know how to use a Rapier properly, and somehow you have a Skill with a Rapier". Max clapped whilst he was speaking.

'What is this bullshit? Why do I keep getting criticised?'. Neo's thoughts became hostile, however he didn't hold it against Max, Mr Salster was the issue.

"A weakness of Lily's regarding Greatsword is that her body isn't made for one, because of this she can't control it properly, which ultimately leads to her being wide open".

"You two, take these into account. Lily, stop trying to be someone you're not".

With that, Lily and Neo stated a strength and weakness of both Max and Alexander, although there wasn't much to say about Max's weakness, he played it pretty perfectly.

"Since that's done, we'll be doing Magic Theory and Application".

Mr Salster handed out three seperate text books to each student.

"These are specialist books regarding mana. Because you hold affinities, your mana circuits are wired differently, although this isn't a bad thing, it's just different".
