It was already afternoon when Grandpa Gen and his two grandchild finally reached the capital. Laile felt it was surreal as he stared at the majestic massive wall that stretches far wide encompassing the whole kingdom and the giant gate encrypted with many symbols and insignia, swarms of people can be seen lining up as they enter the huge gates in the entrance of the capital. His eyes reflected a bright glimmer and his jaw dropped as he marvel at this sight, He was now more eager to see the inside of the capital and was more excited now than ever.

[it’s amazing isn’t it? That’s also what I thought when I first saw it.]

Rei reminiscence as He has also visited the capital back then, but even though he has already seen it he still can’t grasped the feeling of amazement deep within him.

Five armored knights with great stature stood at the front of the gate, they are the guards of the kingdom. They are conducting an inspection on every person that crosses the gate.

[Hmmm, the security seems much more tight right now, has something happened??]

Grandpa Gen was perplexed when he saw the guards, usually there would only be two or three knights guarding in front of the entrance so he felt something was amiss.

Two guards approached their carriage as he was pondering of what could’ve happened.

[What is your cause here sir??]

[Just visiting a friend with my grandsons.]

The first guard questioned them while the other guard inspected the carriage to see if there is something suspicious. The second guard glance at the first guard and nodded, the first guard also nodded as he glance back to the carriage.

[You can go in sir]

[Thank you]

Inside the capital, Laile saw how big and wide the houses with different kinds of decorations and ornaments, it was vastly different in the houses in their village, the long paved road that stretches across the streets, the big Fountain at the intersections of raods. Different kinds of stores that are packed to the brim with people, variety of vendors and stalls can be see as they cross the street.

They continued to take the straight long path, they soon came to a stop in front of a luxurious store.

[Gen you’re here!!]

Grandpa Gen and his grandchild’s was warmly greeted by another old man with luxurious clothes.

He was Noel, grandpa Gen's close friend back in his days.

[Are these your grandsons?]

[Yeah let me introduce them to you. Laile, Rei this is Noel, a friend of mine you can also call him grandpa Noel, he is one of the well known merchants in the capital. You have met him when you’re still a little brat so you wouldn’t probably remember him.]

[[Hello Grandpa Noel]]

[Hahaha yes yes… Hello too.

There are many people out here so let’s go inside the store]

They soon entered the store and what unfolded next shock Laile, assortment of materials are displayed inside the store ranging from equipments, books, jewelries , artifacts, tools and many more others. They followed a straight long path that led to a wide room. The room had decorations all over it, patterned walls and ceilings, luxury paintings and vases, and even a veranda extended at the left of the room.

Rey and Laile sat at the couch inside the room, Noel ordered his servants to serve a meal for the two of them. He and Gen left them as they go to the veranda.

[How have you been Noel?]

[I’m still alive and kicking my friend]

[Oh yeah how old are your grandsons now? Its been a while since a I saw them so I kinda forgot]

Noel asked as he nonchalantly took the cup of tea to take a sip.

[Rei, the one who has red hair has turned 17 and Laile, the orange haired one is 10]

[Pffft Cough cough … ]

Noel spurt the tea in his mouth as he was taken aback by what Gen said.

[WHAT?!!! You mean he’s only 10?]

Noel asked as he looked at the boy happily gobbling up the foods on the table with disbelief on his eyes.

[Yeah quite a shocker isn’t it]

[But he looks like a 15 year old]

[Well would you believe me if I say that he lifted a whole table when he’s 4 years old]

[WHAT?!!]

Noel was shocked by what he heard, a 4 year old child lifting a table? Who would believe that?

[Wait didn’t you say last time that you found a child at the foot of the mountain? Could it be..]

[Yes, he is that child]

[Anyway has anything happened inside the capital recently? the security at the gate was tight.]

Grandpa Gen asked as he rather felt uneasy by action of the guards in front of the gate.

[Well, it seems that a vassal of another country is visiting the kingdom so the emperor ordered to maintain a heavy security at the capital to catch anything suspicious around.]

Noel answered as he quickly recovered from the earlier shock

[Is it for the upcoming festival in the kingdom?]

[Probably so]

[Is the king doing well right now?]

Noel's face turned grim as he looked at Gen.

[That’s what I’m also worried about, the King’s health seems to be worsening as time the goes by. And the other Nobles are aiming at the throne, the imperial family is at risk of losing if this goes on.]

[The situation is worst than I thought]

Gen’s face turn livid as he pondered more about the current situation of the kingdom.

The two conversed with each other while Laile and Rei is happily devouring the meals on the table.

Soon the night came up and the two old man’s conversation came to an end. Noel once again called out his servants to accompany the three to their own room. The beds in the room are comfortable, its fluffy so it feels like you’re in the clouds as you lay your body on it.

[You two should rest up, we are going around the capital tomorrow so you need to wake up early]

[[Yes Grandpa]]

The two are already tired from gobbling up a lot of delicious food, so they want to sleep and digest it soon.

There have been a lot of surprises today Laile thought to himself.

[I wonder where are we going tomorrow. I should think about that later I’mma sleep now]

Just as he closes his eyes to sleep he enters a mysterious pocket dimension, the dimension took a manifestation of a library, majestic shelves stood inside the library as hundreds and thousands of book lay inside them.

[Now then shall I read or practice?]

Laile stumbled upon this dimension a few years ago, it was the usual peaceful and sunny day. Laile is with his friends happily playing in the river until suddenly, Laile slip at the edge of the bridge then he fell to the river, he tried to call for help because he doesn’t know how to swim at that time. Laile drowned and he loss consciousness. Fortunately there are other people that time, if not he would’ve died at that moment. He opened his eyes but he notice he wasn’t at the river but in a mysterious library full of books with unknown origins, He began scanning around the library to look for the exit just to find a single stone door with statues by its side. He tried to open the stone door but it didn’t even move an inch when he tried to push it forward, He tried other means such as ramming the door, kicking, and punching it but it still stood while Laile is panting and sweating profusely so he just gave up on the idea of opening the door. He looked around the room once more in hope of finding something that may help him break free from the room but after scanning every nook and canny of the room for hours but he still found nothing, all there is in the room are books and a single door.

[Maybe if I recall what happened I may be able to find a way to leave.]

He began to recall of what took place in the river in hope’s of finding some hint.

[So I fell from the river and drowned, and somehow I ended up in here. Huh… then my body should still be in the river, but why am I here?]

Thinking also didn’t help.

[I should look into the books, maybe I could find something there]

He glanced at the bookshelf as a last glimmer of hope shone through his eyes hoping to find something that may help him leave. He walked towards the first shelf and grab the first book, he began reading the contents of the book. He repeated this process until the there is only one last book left but he still didn’t find anything related to leaving the mysterious library. He took the last book and again began to flip through the pages on it, his face turned grim as he still found nothing related to the library. But as he was beginning to loose the last bit of hope in him a small slip of paper from the book fell to the ground, seeing this Laile picked up the small slip of paper and to his surprise information about the library is written on it.

[Dimensional Library. A pocket dimension created from the Moonlight stone. Moonlight stone?]

Laile asked with a puzzled look on his face

[Is it the stone in my necklace?]

Laile pondered on what is the stone necklace on his possession but he quickly shrugged the thought as leaving is his first priority now.

[You can enter and leave as you wish by just muttering “Enter” and “Leave”. WHAT!?? It’s that easy?]

Laile was felt stupid and dumbfounded of how easy it is to come and go to the Dimensional Library.

(Then what was I doing wasting time trying to open that darn door.)

He quickly tried it and muttered “Leave”, soon the image of a room came to his sight he was at their house lying on his bed.

[It works!]

Laile felt joy as he has finally left the Dimensional Library.

And that’s how he discovered this dimension, now back to the present.

Laile stretched his back as he scanned the book in the shelves

(I’ve found out some informations in the paper slip about the library and my stone necklace . First the library is composed of 3 floors and every floor has different section but right now I only know the sections in the first floor namely RUNIC, BATTLE ARTS, PHYSICIAN, and an unknown room. Second every section has their own books and set of test, for example the runic section has a test which is the door with the two statues beside it. The door was inscribed with runic symbols and it would only open if I successfully break the runic formation on it, of course I would need to first read and assimilate the knowledge entailed on the books to do that. And lastly is about my stone necklace, the name of my stone necklace is Moonlight Stone and besides having the Dimensional Library it also has an imaginary space that can store objects such as weapons, baggage, foods, and many others. But despite having pretty much infinite space within it has a fatal flaw which is the inability to support life inside it and the limitations on the sizes of the objects, it can only hold objects that doesn’t exceeds 1 m³. It can’t possibly hold an object that exceeds the size of a normal adult human. So far this is the only written information inside the paper slip, but maybe I would be able to find other information in other sections or floors.)
