Chapter 1
《GREED/GAME》
Part 2
I had entered the game, I was greeted by the sight of the bustling crowd of players, the area I was in was commonly referred to as the hub, a place where players can interact and actively trade with other players.
A cute girl, had approached me, she looked at me with stern eyes, but with a happy expression.
“Hello, I’m Kyra, one of the moderators around here, it’s my job to take you and all the other players on the tutorial, so I shall make myself clear on the rules – there aren’t any.”
As I looked around I realized each player was seeing the same image projected.
“Don’t act surprised, this game was disguised as your average fantasy game wasn’t it, well no it isn’t, it’s a survival game, the last man standing wins a prize, a prize so big that it would make everyone here feint – I won’t reveal it. Now, hurting players is illegal, until the contingency orders are given, when that happens beware, anything goes. So you must prepare, also – each and every one of you has been taken under the custody of my ruler, so if you die in the game, my shooters will kill you – so take this seriously…”
The silent hum of the bewildered crowd of players was now taken by loud shouting and absolute crazy behavior. God damn it, now what the hell am I supposed to do, all those fictional stories, I should’ve known, some crazy bastard would use the whole ‘stuck in a game’ trope in real life.
Keep Calm. Keep Calm. Keep Calm.
I need to get out of here, find a village to camp, no I need to recruit guildmates, what should I do?
Yes, I know what I need to do, that is to camp up somewhere, establish a base and watch this cool over, yes… yes, and that is exactly what I need to do. So I won’t die, because I don’t want to die, dying scares me.

I quickly run past the players, and into the open grasslands. I open my game bar, and look at my map:
【Nearest Town: 10 miles to the west 】
I guess I’ll buy some materials, I quickly approach an NPC blacksmith.
“Give me some basic supplies, any health potion, weapon, and food. Nothing fancy…”
“Coming right up sir, let’s see, you have 500 credits, how about this, ‘Blade of Retribution’, one of the last remnants of the imperial knights the ATK Lvl is about -10, pretty good seemingly because most Lvl 1’s are ‘bout 200% health, it’s about 100 credits, a low quality Elixir, restores 30% health, and some raw Runic Pig Leg restores hunger to 100%. All in all that’s about 300 credits, you have 200 credits to buy some supplies along the way, oh here, take this guide on how to level up your weapons and your level.”
I quickly headed out of town, while running I quickly scanned through the guide, the systems fairly simple, each time you kill a high-level monster or player you get XP, you designate this XP to your level or your weapon, the higher your level, is basically your health and speed star, to earn credits you need to complete quests from guilds or from killing players.
__
I had finally headed near the outskirts of the town, I spotted a wild pig humanoid beast.
〖Spotted Wild Gostorian Beastmen 〗
As I approached its great claws struck upon me, its sharp claws pierced my skin, I felt every bit of the pain, blood, and sweat-stained my eyes, I quickly charged to it, and struck my sword into its torso, my sword sliced through it.

It's a little story I've been mulling over for the better part of six months. It brings together elements of litrpg and progression fantasy with a dash of xianxia. If you enjoy a story where the MC must overcome challenges to become strong then you've come to the right place.

Moonshot
Gregarious businessman Evin Tumble is fascinated by the sudden and inexplicable appearance of a low-orbiting moon. Specifically, he's interested in shooting it down with a giant cannon. The moon is only about eight miles overhead, but it's high enough and quick enough that nobody can reach it by balloon or airship. He hires our protagonists: taciturn Iseult Morrin, cheerful Sean Whelan, and nervous Íde Ceallaigh, to help him with his obsession. As our heroes are dispersed across the continent to perform tasks for Tumble, and the moon-hunt draws closer, they become increasingly suspicious of their benefactor's motives and true nature. Moonshot is a story centred around struggling with confidence, the difficulty of being an immigrant, and the duality of truth, all clad in the trappings of an urban fantasy. It is character-driven, from the heart, and based on tropes and ideas that are missing from a lot of contemporary fantasy (a push beyond the flawless-yet-somehow-still-needs-rescuing-by-an-oafish-man heroine trope, a touch of cosmic magic based on the shared geometries of Celtic and Arab art).

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
