《The World Of Thousands (ENDED)》Chapter Seven: My Apple Cheeks Are Ginormous That They Conceal My Eyes

Side glancing at Sy’s breathtaking features that kept sending heart-throbbing tickles to her heart, Clarice gasped and let her mouth drop to a double-chin style. The sudden turning of events after switching a body came at her like ocean waves, making her feel suffocated and in preparation for a heart attack.
Despite the heart attack preparation, Clarice had no intention or want in transforming her feelings of heart-throbbing to heart attacking, the latter being potentially deadly.
And so Clarice quickly adjusted her gaping expressions to a smile she thought would appear as warm and friendly.
Wait, I am pretty now ain’t I. I bet any expressions I make are attractive.
Thinking back to her alluring face and figure, Clarice’s smile went as bright as burning magnesium, and a fire experiment went wrong. Her smile was lifted to a point where her well-designed curved nose became flat, her dimples gone, and her eyes almost becoming unseeable.
But Clarice suddenly realized the fact she couldn’t really see with that big smile, so she calmed down her expression and stood straighter while turning around to face Sy.
However, she then came to the recognition that she still couldn’t see even when she loosened her huge smile, so Clarice undeniably went panicking.
She stopped smiling and tried explicitly to open her eyes. She failed.
I’m fine. I’m fine it’s probably because I smiled too big and too long, or it might just be baby fat.
Yeah, it must be baby fat that conceals my eyes.
Clarice hushed her inner fears while her fingers made their ways to her apple cheeks, then she went dumbfounded.
“System! What is wrong with me? Why is my apple cheek lifted so high? Why are they so high up that I can’t even feel my eyes? Like my eyes are buried under my lifted apple cheeks? What kind of sorcery is this?!”

Yen, your questions have been received. Tenens’ bodies will be deprived of any soul or great agility once a Yen chooses to switch to their bodies. Without soul and agility, Yen inside the Tenen’s body would take on the form of sand and water, meaning that Yen’s entire body could be easily alterred by a part of Tenen’s body. For example, Yen’s hands could shift Yen’s nose, another Tenen’s arm could cut through Yen’s thighs, but people in this world wouldn’t be able to.
Hearing this information brought weight on Clarice’s entire body. Her body became hunched again.
While being distracted in her head, Clarice completely ignored her surroundings in reality, which included a man whose face was torched as if in pain, eyebrows in a tight-knit like grandma’s sewage, and hands to his chin as if trying to figure something out. He was trying to figure out why Clarice’s apple cheeks were so high that they concealed her eyes.
“So that means I could go back to normal if I…use my hands to drag down my apple cheeks?”
Correct.
Clarice’s shaky fingers made their way to her highly lifted apple cheeks. She covered her face with her manicured and nurtured hands while her palm tried to press down her apple cheeks. Oddly, she succeeded and was able to see the world again.
She was able to see Sy and his curious expressions, to be exact.
Realizing what the scene must have had occurred to him, Clarice’s heart pulsated in an incredibly paced rhythm. It was steadily increasing until she heard the System’s warning of her heart rate going up to 280 bpm.
Wait, why am I not blacking out?
She distinctly felt a sharp pain near her right ventricle. Her face turned deadly pale while she attempted to grasp her heart by wrinkling her designer top. The scene was almost dramatic until the girl curled up in the corner, staring harshly at the man who remained still and was six feet away. Her eyes filled with tears that told her severe, authentic pain.

The man’s indifference didn’t alleviate her misery, but it rather aggregated her heart attack, her heart pain.
How could he be so calm when I am literally dying?
Clarice felt the passing of life at her fingertips while the brutal truth struck at her with weights enough to paralyze her mental being.
Am I just another meaningless encounter in your life? I loved you so deeply, I sacrificed so much for you, and I thought it was enough because I thought you loved me too. Everything of you was palpable. Your pleasures, your happiness, your pain, my pain, your pain as I cured you. I thought I had everything only for you to murder me with the news that I never had them at all. You loved Charlotte, my sister.
I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. Why do I know these things?
Clarice felt like a huge needle was inserted into her chest. It grabbed onto her heartstrings and hauled those happy memories out of her body, taking away a piece of her soul and leaving the rest in mourning.
Sy was someone who cared little for people whom he didn’t trust or weren’t familiar to him. Lady Uta, the daughter of the private hospital’s principal sponsor, was merely regarded by him as a girl who used her dad’s power instead of her own to achieve her goals, like what many other wealthy people did.
He met her on several occasions when he was discussing businesses with her dad. She would always be dressed in floral designer dresses or some other designer outfits. He didn’t pay much attention to them as he already had a woman who would flash him with her body in cute little revealing outfits.
Of course, he didn’t notice the girl’s desires and longings in her eyes as she would swiftly peek at him and look away when he was on the verge of looking back at her.
But now he was thoroughly looking at this girl who seemed to be in great pain.
Disregarding the previous odd sightings (seeing the highly lifted apple cheeks), Sy decided there would be more trouble for him if he was to leave the girl alone and walk away.
He would also like to admit that this girl, Uta, had attracted his attention.
“Assistant Steven, please take lady Uta to the nearest doctor. I would like to see her healed in no time.”
“Yes, Mr. Sy.”
If only Clarice were to hear this before she faded into unconsciousness.
Because her heart was dead and no longer contained love for Sy.
