The second son Feran Winstone luckily had the ancestors’ power in his veins, so no one dared harm him. Because of that, he survived and became a king after his Father’s death.
Like his first son, the third son Phiteus Winstone had no power of the ancestors, so he was at risk of being assassinated. But his elder brother Feran already had the pain of losing one brother, so he did not want to lose another.
Because of that, Feran protected his younger brother until he became a grand duke. His younger brother Phiteus rule Amphissa city on the east. He loved his blood brother so much that he went to help him first after he heard about the nobles rebelling in the kingdom.
After King Feran heard that his children had woken up, He wanted to run to see them. But he was worried not to anger his wife Queen Medea again by not following the Palace’s rules.
King Feran has all the power in the kingdom, but in the Royal Palace, Queen Medea rules. He had married her for love, even though she had such a bad temper. So he always tries his best to listen to his wife and not anger her.
Even if his wife has a bad temper, she always gives him good advice and shows affection.
So he patiently starts walking towards the Primary Quarters. On the way, Many servants saw the King going towards the Primary Quarters. All of them lowered their head as the King came close to them.
“Greetings! Your Majesty!”

“May His Majesty protect us for a long time to come!”
“May the protection of Zeus continue to be on His Majesty!”
The Head Butler Greysen did not know that the King was awake. He was talking to a servant when he saw the King going to the Primary Quarters. He lowers his hips and bows his head to the King to show respect.
“Your Majesty!”
King Feran looks back for a second and sees the head butler showing respect. The King makes a gesture with his hand ordering the butler to follow him.
Greysen decides to follow the King’s order and go with him.
“As you order, My King!”
King Feran, after walking for 10 minutes, finally reaches the Primary Quarters. He is trying extremely hard not to show his excitement, but he runs towards the door after seeing it.
He has been away for 4 months and has not seen his children since. When he was gone, he was always worried that something might happen to them.
As a father, He had patience like no other, but he bursts with joy and happiness after seeing his children when he opens the door.
Tears start falling from his eyes non-stop as he sees his two years old son walking before his eyes. Before the King entered the room, the maids played with him to keep him happy while the King’s daughter was sleeping in her cradle.
When his son sees him, He immediately recognizes him and starts running towards him while shouting a word.
“Ppather…….. pather….. father.”
King Feran becomes overjoyed when he hears his son call him Father, so he immediately runs towards him and holds him up high with his arms after hugging him.
The Queen becomes a little worried that the child will fall, but she decides not to tell the King to let their child down. Because she knows that the King has not seen his children for 4 months, so even he could get annoyed if someone tries to order him too much, even if it is his wife.

“Oh! My Brave Caius. Your Father has returned home. In the time I left, you have grown so big. I wish that I did not have to go away for 4 months so that I could see you smile every day.”
When his Father holds him up high, he gives his Father an overjoyed expression.
Caius grabs his Father’s face with his two hands and starts rubbing them closely together.
Thus, the King sounds were is impossible to understand, so both starts making loud noises. The King forgetting that his daughter is also there sleeping.
After hearing such loud noises of the King and his son, the King’s daughter wakes up from her sleep and starts crying loudly.
Her maid picks her up from her cradle and tries to calm her down, but she shows no sign of calming down.
Seeing this, King Feran rushes towards his daughter to try to calm her down. At that time, the King was holding his son in his right arm.
After picking his daughter from the maid, he puts her head closer to his heart on the left side with his arms.
“My lovely Philomela! Please Forgive your Father because he was just excited to see his children. There! There! My Children! Don’t worry .”
After a few minutes pass, his daughter also starts laughing and making noises.
An hour passes, and King Feran still is playing with his children, then a servant arrives in the room and starts talking with the Head Butler Greysen. After saying something, the servent leaves, but he leaves the butler with a surprised face.
King Feran looked at Greysen for a moment and saw that his surprised looking facial expression.
“Greysen! What is the reason that you are making such a weird facial expression? Has someone important arrived in the Royal Capital?”
Greysen answers after calming down.
“My King! I have just received news that your younger brother Grand Duke Phiteus Winstone had arrived in the Royal Capital a few hours ago, and right now, he is here in the Royal Palace.”

8 137The Atropos Schema
Book 1 is now complete! NOTE: I'm adding the "Traumatising Content" tag because important characters are mind-controlled in this story. If you dislike reading about mind control, then this story is not for you. Summary: Tutorials. Monster invasions. Fantasy towns in a post-apocalyptic world. Follow Jarek Novak as he fights for survival with the “help” of his personal A.I. “To recap,” I said, trying to ignore my growing headache. “I have a mind-controlling parasite in my brain. The Atropos Schema is facilitating the destruction of my world as I know it, and if it discovers this parasite, then I’m as good as dead. Currently, my world is being overrun by monsters and soon other sapient species will fight for control over my world—unless they already control my world from the shadows.” Samantha said.
8 159The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
8 191Talius
The two moons of Talius gleam with a hypnotic glow; Araius with the color of a cooling blue, and Kranos beaming in a gentle orange. Arairus obscures Kranos with his enormous celestial body, letting Kranos peek out only halfway. This means that it's the month of Gantelos, the season of cold that hovers over Talius for half a year. It also notifies the residence of this planet that the dreadful Fuune will rise from the deep snow, deep from beneath the crust every night and feast on the humans who inhabit this tundra-infested world.
