King Feran exits the royal carriage first with Adonis Drakos in his hand and after him Commander Perseus. Adonis Drakos sees a big majestic gate in front of him. Around both sides of the gate, many servants are lined up to welcome the King.

“Greysen! It is good to be home after such a long time away.”

As King Feran moves towards the gate, behind following him is Commander Perseus and the royal butler. Adonis Drakos can see that as the King moves closer to the door, the nearby servants start to bow their heads to the King to show respect.

“We the Royal Servants of Thiva Welcome his Highness, King Feran Winstone Back To The Royal Palace of The Elders.”

In the King’s arms, Adonis Drakos sees that the King is pleased by the servants’ show. They did it as a sign of respect towards the King.

When the King approaches the gate, it opens by itself as it is operated by magic. When He enters the gate, he notices that the people were not announced about his arrival. So they were surprised as they saw the King.

With his subordinates, the King enters the Primary Quarters, where a beautiful young woman in her thirties wearing a majestic dress with a crown on her head is talking to a maid. When she sees the King, she is extremely surprised, happy, and excited.

But when she sees a newborn child carried in the arms of the King. Tears fall from her eye. she becomes enraged with fury.

“My Highness! Was my love not enough for you that you betrayed it?”

Adonis Drakos realizes that she must be the queen seeing how she has addressed the King. King Feran does not seem to understand what she means by this. He is surprised by her reaction and does not know what to say. Adonis Drakos sees that the Commander is barely holding his laughter as he sees both of them caught in a misunderstanding.

“My King! Why? Why don’t you answer me??? Why are you so quiet?? Tell Me why you have betrayed my love???”

The King, still unable to grasp the situation, tries to talk.

“My Queen Medea! Please tell me what have I done wrong?”

Queen Medea becomes more angry and emotional.

“You want me to tell you what’s wrong? What else is there to say? Do you think I am blind that I cant see what is in your hands? You went away 4 months ago without telling me anything, and you come back here with a child in your arms? How much more dishonor you want to bring to me?”

King Feran realizes that he had caused a misunderstanding. King Feran, caught in the fire of misunderstanding, tries to talk to her.

“You Bastard! I thought you loved me, and now you have done this? Don’t you care about the prince and the princess?”

“My Queen! Please listen to me. This is not my child.”

Queen Medea starts to calm down as she hears these words from King Feran’s mouth.

“Oh! Then could you tell me whose child this is?”

King Feran tries explaining the whole situation.

“This is my Brother Hector Drakos and your sister Elpis Drakos’s son. They named him Adonis Drakos.”

Queen Medea becomes very happy as soon as she hears this.

“So this is my nephew. He has a good name, unlike you, who gave weird names to his children. But let us forget that for now, tell me where his parents are? Why haven’t they come? Why is the heir of House Drakos here alone without his parents?”

When Queen Medea says these words, the whole room fell silent. King Feran becomes sorrowful and remorseful so much that he does not have the heart to tell what happened, so Commander Perseus comes forward, bowing in front of Queen Medea as respect and explains what happened.

“Your Highness! General Lapetus rebelled against the House of Drakos with the help of nobles in Tyras. We believe the high elves helped them in this. In this rebellion, both Grand Duke and Grand Duchess were killed. Only the heir of House Drakos survived who is now in front of you. The other survivor is the maid of the Grand Duchess. She was the one who made it possible for us to know this child’s name.”

Adonis Drakos remembers the horror he saw yesterday in the attack, and he starts crying again as he also remembers his parents, whom he had not even know for a whole day, had given their lives to protect his. He was powerless to do anything to save their lives. With Adonis crying, King Feran also remembers who they mercilessly killed his sworn brother. This makes tears starting falling from King Feran’s eyes.

Queen Medea takes the child from King Feran as she could see the sad expressions on both the child and the King’s face. When she had the child in her arms and sees that the child’s eye has become dry because of crying, she tries not to have tears fall, seeing this situation, but some tears fall on the child’s face.

“Why are the gods always so cruel to the house of Odysseus? Had only ancestors not suffered enough that they are making us suffer even more? Even though we helped the gods so many times in their wars, yet they make our kin bleed? The gods did not take pity on a child who was just born, and they took away both his parents even though he had not known them for a day. They have made my nephew suffer the pain worse than death on the day of his birth. What did our ancestors do to displease the gods this much? Had they not sacrificed not enough for them? Today is a day that we will not forget as the gods have made our kin suffer. We will make them compensate for this suffering they have caused you since your birth, my nephew. From now on you will live with your uncle and aunt. I will not allow you to suffer any more for you have suffered too much.”

Queen Medea gathers herself and starts to think of a solution. She remembers that her personal maid is a healthy woman in her twenties who’s son is now 2 years old and does not require her milk. So she calls her maid to make a proposition.

“My Loyal and Personal Maid, Larisa. From now on, you are the wet-nurse of the heir of House of Drakos. If you accept, you will be given the rank of a baron, and it can be inherited by your son later on.”

Before being called by Queen Medea, Maid Larisa was thinking of leaving the capital to raise her son in peace. But when she hears that, she will receive baron’s rank and will not have to worry about her son’s education. She happily accepts this offer from Queen Medea.

“I thank Her Majesty for this honor! I promise you that I will do my best to serve the heir of House of Drakos.”

Queen Medea hands over Adonis Drakos to Royal Maid Larisa.

“Good. Take him to the Fifth Royal Chambers because that is now his room in the palace where he will sleep belongs. Remember to feed him milk after arriving at his room as he has not even drunk a drop of his mother’s milk. Remember to make him fall asleep after giving him milk so that I can rest without worry because he is my sister’s child.”
