Volume 1 - Birth and Worth

The Underworld is a place where the dead are judged before their afterlife. The Ruthless King of the Underworld is Hades. He is the eldest son of Kronos. He rules the Underworld singlehandedly from his throne.

After becoming tricked into becoming King of the Underworld, he has become a dark god. Hades, being cursed by Zeus, is forced to reincarnate those soul blessed with the Light of Zeus.

“What is happing?”

“Did I die?”

“I hear something. But I can’t remember whose voice this is?”

“Mortal, Wake Up! I do not have time to waste on souls like you.”

The Mortal gains consciousness after hearing the loud voices of someone. But when he tries to open his eyes, he could not.

Suddenly he feels a deep pain in his head.

“Ahhhhh! Who is it? I am awake! I am awake!”

He touches the ground while trying to stand up. The earth feels like rock and a little hot.

“Who are you? Why have you brought me here?”

After that, he hears the voice again.

“Mortal Human! You had died. Right Now, You are In The Underworld.”

The Mortal feels like someone is trying to pull a prank on him. So he tries to question the person speaking while trying to play along.

“What do u mean by being dead and Underworld? I was working a few minutes ago.”

The voice becomes annoyed when it hears so many questions.

“Mortal, When You were working, you had an abnormal heart attack, which became the cause of your death, and now you are here!”

The Mortal becomes angry that someone is trying to pull a prank on him this hard and even saying that he died of a heart attack. So he thinks of one of his work colleagues who could do this.

“Huh! Nice Joke, But I am not falling for it, Alexis. Now open my eyes. I have work to do.”

The voice became really angry, but it unsealed the Mortal’s eyes. Souls were really not allowed to see the Underworld because it was a neutral place. But because Hades was really annoyed by the moral so, he wanted him to feel terror.

“Idiot Mortal! Look around yourself for a second.”

Hearing this, The Mortal tried to open his eyes, and this time they opened smoothly. The Mortal Looks starts to look around his surroundings for the first time.

In front of him are 7 judges who live in the Underworld measuring the deeds of the dead. These judges hold great power and are called Lampades.

They measure the deeds with the help of balance scales which have two plates attached to it. One measure the righteous deeds while the other the evil deeds.

After they measure deeds of a soul, they send them to one of the two giant gates around him.

On his right is the gate which leads to Tartaros. Those whose evil deeds are heavier are thrown to rot there for eternity. There tall, muscular, red-skinned, dark-winged females called Abyzou, torture the evil souls without rest for the end of times. That is why he can hear the screams of souls being tortured.

On his left is the gate which leads to Elysium. If the righteous deeds have more weight than they get to live forever in Elysium, which is a peaceful and beautiful place. Little cubby, light yellow-skinned, white-winged male babies called Putti wearing robes serve them. Because of that, he can hear the voices of laughter from there.

While he sees this, he hears the voice from behind.

“Mortal! Look behind you.”

When he turns his body, he sees a dark-skinned titan sitting on a throne wearing a golden robe with a magical dark crown on his head and a large spear in his hand. His skilled white advisers wearing dark robes are sitting on smaller thrones around him.

The sitting on the big throne is, in fact, Hades. Who is surrounded by small thrones of his advisers Atropos the Bringer of Death, Erinyes the Bringer of Vengeance, Hypnos the Bringer of Nightmares, Serapis the Bringer of Wrath, Limos the Bringer of Starvation, and Thanatos the Bringer of Pain.

The Mortal trembles before these gods because he is an ant compared to them. In such terror, The Mortal naturally without thinking falls on his feet and bows before Hades. Hades orders his advisers strictly. He said this to them with his mid and without the human knowing.

Hades had felt something wrong from this soul’s light from the beginning. Now, it was as he had suspected. This Mortal’s blessed light was not normal but was, in fact, an Ancient Light from Zeus. This gives Hades an idea to take revenge on his little brother Zeus.

“Advisers! Don’t you dare speak with this human. Just smile and let me talk.”

The advisers respectfully answered.

“As you command, King.”

The Mortal trembling asks the titan in front of him a question.

“Who! Who are you?”

Hades laughed as he heard this.

“Hahaha! Relax Mortal. I am Hades, King of the Underworld.”

The Mortal full of sweat, ask Hades another question while fearing for his soul.

“What!....... What are you going….. to do…… to me?”

Hades Puts a Smirk on His Face as He sees the Little Soul trembling. He says calmly.

“Mortal! You have been blessed by the Ancient Light of Little Brother Zeus. So you will be reincarnated as a human again.”

The Mortal gets a little happy when he hears this. But because he still does not trust Hades, so he tries to question him.

“Really...? But………..Why would you do that for me?”

Hades gives a calm smile while being bitter in his mind. He said in his subconscious.

“This Mortal, He still dares question me?”

Hades answers the human will calm and a lovely smile.

“It is because it was my brother who blessed you. So it is my job as his elder brother to reincarnate you.”

The Mortal becomes really happy. Hades could easily see his smile and happiness.

Zeus’s Ancient Light is only given to the most pitiful souls. Hades smirks inside as he sees that this Mortal is falling into his trap, so he goes into his plan’s next step.

“Mortal! You are the first human in 3,000 years who have received my brother’s blessings. Because of that, I will fulfil one wish of yours, whatever it may be.”

In his whole life, no one ever loved him. Even his parents left him when he was just a newborn. All his life, he only dreamt of having a loving family that would care for him.

This was his eternal wish. But life is too cruel. It never listens to one’s wish. He thought if there were a small chance of having this wish, He would still believe in that slight chance.

So The Pitiful Mortal wishes his eternal wish to the King of the Underworld, Hades.

“Oh god of the Dead. My only desire is my eternal wish, and my wish is that I want to have a loving and caring family.”

Hades knew this was what the Mortal was going to wish for because he had already seen the whole of the Mortal’s terrible life. But, Hades puts up a surprising front face.

Hades Stands up From His Throne with his Legendary Bident. The Mortal thinks that Hades is going to fulfil his wish.

“Really? Is that What you want? Alright, Than, I GRANT IT! I declare that you will always find a family that will love you.”

But Hades curses him without him knowing. Tears start to fall from the Mortal’s eyes as he hears that his wish has been granted. He bows down to the Underworld King Hades.

“Thank You! Great King of The Underworld for granting me my wish.”

Hades Trying Hard To Control His Evil Laughter.

“Mortal! Now That I have Granted You Your Wish! It is time for you to leave. Good Bye! I hope that you live a good life.”

Hades using his Legendary Bident sends the human to the Mythical Mortal Realm.

The Mortal leaves satisfied, thinking that he will always have a loving family. But he did not know that Underworld King Hades cursed him, making all those who will love him suffer a terrible end.

After the human leaves, Hades starts laughing loudly.

“Stupid Human, He really thought I granted him his wish. What a gullible idiot he is that he does not even know that I have given him a dark curse which will make his new life more miserable than the life he had before. HAHAHAHAHA!!!”
