《First of The Author's Lore: Fatherly Dragon》Chapter 2

A lot of thoughts travelled through my head as I flew through the barren landscape, the human fetus carefully placed in my claws.
Like, why did I even decide to save it? Was it because I was bored? Was it because I was lonely? Was it the creator's will? Was it fate's desire? I didn't know the answer. All I knew is that I now have a human fetus I decided to have responsibility over. And that, I have no idea how to raise it.
Do I make it hunt for it's own food or something? Does it even eat the same food baby dragons eat..?
What in the world have I gotten myself into?
I let out a sigh as I felt warm liquid trickle down my claws. I'm starting to regret my decision.
The first thing I should probably do is look for human civilization.
But... Didn't I just destroy the last village in the area?
I let out a large roar of frustration, flames escaping my mouth in the process.
This is going to be a long flight and I'm not going to like it.
But before all that, I'm going to have to find a clean river. I don't wanna enter human civilization while stinking of fetus urine.
I looked at the human that was giggling all the way in my claws. Why is it giggling?

Thankfully, just as the sun was about to set, I had found a town that seemed to have a decent amount of human population.
I quietly landed in the woods near the town and morphed into human form. The human seemed to have fallen asleep. It wasn't going to die before I find food for it right? It shouldn't. Seriously, it shouldn't.
I quietly entered the town's gates, giving a quick glance at the welcome sign that said, [Welcome to Rondo Town, we sincerely hope you enjoy your stay!]

What an unnecessarily long welcome message. The main road was awfully quiet though... Almost no one was walking by the road. I caught a middle-aged woman staring at me.
"What are you looking at, woman." I asked, my voice slightly faltering from tiredness.
"You seem to have been travelling for a long time, young man. Is that your child you're holding?" She asked, slowly approaching me.
"It isn't. I picked it up along the way. I visited this town because I don't know what human babies eat." I blatantly stated. I'm too tired for this QnA.
The woman chuckled. "What interesting humor you have, young man! Come along, I'll give your child something to eat." She then motioned for me to follow her.
Why is she emitting a dark aura though? What a suspicious lady.
As I entered what seemed to be her home, a man who seemed to be the woman's husband greeted me as he put down the book he was reading. "Greetings, young traveller. Please make yourself at home." He said as he motioned to the couch beside him.
I hesitatingly sat down, the fetus in my arms stirring as if it was waking up.
"What's the name of your child, young man?" He asked me, an elderly smile plastered on his face.
Why are humans like this? They always seem to be asking questions here and there.
"It doesn't have a name." I said before tranferring my gaze to the woman who seemed to be making some kind of potion and putting it inside a ridiculous-looking bottle.
I warily stared at the potion that she handed over towards me while using my mana to examine the contents. It didn't seem to have anything of poisonous substance.
"What is this potion you're giving me, woman?" I frowned, her chuckle along with the man's hearty laugh ringing throughout the house.

"It's milk. I usually mix it with my morning tea. The bottle is made exclusively for babies so that it's still like sucking on their mothers' breasts." She said while smiling as she handed me the bottle.
This thing is what human babies have to quench their hunger? Seriously?
"Would you like me to feed it to your child for you young man?" She asked when I still didn't take the bottle from her.
"Please do." I said as I handed her the fetus. It made a weird noise as it hungrily sucked at the bottle's weird cap. I felt too tired to care about whatever it was called.
"Oh my, such a starved little thing!" The woman exclaimed.
"Young man, allow me and my wife to extend our hospitality and let you sleep in one of the guest rooms." The man said as he stood up, gesturing at one of the rooms.
"Thank you for your hospitality, humans." I said as the woman handed me the now full fetus. I was about to enter what they called a [Guest room] when the woman asked another question.
"Wait, young man. Aren't you hungry?"
"No I'm not." I said without wasting a second. If human babies had that weird substance as food, I didn't think I would like to know what adult humans eat for food. For all I know they probably eat bugs raw while going hakuna matata.

Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. The Storytellers
Myra Kahani lives in a world of gods and prayers. People around her constantly reach out to the gods for advice and suggestions at critical times in their life. But Myra has a problem. No matter what she does, she can't talk to the gods. When Myra meets Roam, an old, enigmatic Storyteller, she finally gets some answers. She learns of the origins of the Universe, the divide between mankind and their deities, and the important role that Storytellers play in her world. But the truth for Myra is just the beginning of her story. The Storytellers is a story that I began to develop from a series of shorter stories that I wrote for a mythology and folklore class. As such, they have a strong basis in the myths and folklore of various cultures and religions. Join me as I try my best to integrate these stories into my own and develop the world of the Storytellers and Myra herself. This is my first attempt at any sort of longer-form fiction so helpful advice is greatly appreciated!

Fire and Shadows. Legend of the breaker. (Hiatus until ??)
Traditions lost, books burned, ancient knowledge forever spurned. It began with fire, the great Sirionean, all dominating desert creating pyre. And it ended thusly just aswell, t'was the great Empire's deathknell. The crackling of the burning books, dangling corpses on rusty hooks. The yellow streets of Heabury proper, colored red with human copper. -? S.V, Scholar of Dawn.' -- Author note: Hi, SeV here. I'm not a fan of writing my entire story premise in the synopsis. For that, read the prologue and chapter 1. Suffice it to say that I think it's a cool idea and I already have a few things planned and a world sort of formed in my mind. I like Epic fantasy, lightnovels with OP MCs, Litrpg, sci-fi, any many other things. This story is written for myself, so it may include all sorts of diffent elements and character interactions and even experimental things that I'm trying out as a writer in order to improve. My intention with this is to pretty much post as I write, and acquire feedback from you folks in the process. I of course hope you like my story, but feel free to criticize anything since this is a project to improve myself. Even if it isn't strictly criticism, any feedback positive or negative is welcome since I am interested in what other people think of my writing style and what I can improve on. Since it's growing generically I'll be interested in your thoughts and speculations on future events and any suggestions moving forward will be taken into consideration. Hope you enjoy my stuff. - SeV
