《First of The Author's Lore: Fatherly Dragon》Chapter 1

A barren wasteland. That was all I could see for miles and beyond. All of this was my doing.
Was it because of boredom? Was it because I was lonely? I didn't know anymore. The village I had destroyed was my thousandth one since I had started this sick hobby of mine.
As the buildings I towered over burned itself like incense, as if to mourn over it's villagers, I heard the faint sound of a baby whining.
Of all things to actually survive my rampage. Really?
As I carefully(?) flicked a piece of what seemed to be a roof away from where the sound was coming from... I realized I had made was a mistake.
Now that the roof, that previously muffled the whines, was gone... The volume of the whining increased drastically. I think my ears are bleeding.
I glared at the tiny, yet overly loud being laying in the middle of burning debris.
Seriously, how did this speck of dust even survive? It was like the heavens had cursed it to be alone. No, actually it was my fault that it was now alone.
I couldn't decide whether to kill it or not. If I leave it somewhere for humans to find... I can't guarantee it won't get eaten by wild animals first. Because I have no plans on lurking for hours just waiting for a human to get this kid. And if it's fate was dying today, the kid should have died from the rampage.
As the baby kept whining, tears pouring out of its eyes, I suddenly saw myself.
... Right. My clan was also sweeped off from existence back then. And I was the only who survived, all because everyone else had decided to protect me at all costs.
I gritted my teeth as I morphed into a human form. Why am I even doing something so bothersome...
I picked up the child with one hand and stared at it. It looked more bothersome than morphing.
And yet... I pitied it.
"Oi child. I'll take care of you from now on. So you better quiet down or I'm burning you to ashes." I said as I put the baby over my shoulder.
Little did I know that I had voluntarily thrown myself into hell the moment I decided on raising this child.

World Revisit
Having no collection of her past, a confused young girl ends up in world unknown to her. A world with the nature as their source of life and magic, but at the same time also the cause of their despair and sorrow. The world seems to be facing a dangerous calamity. Being treated as an intruder, she will have to gain the trust of the people around her and find a way to live through this mess. With not much hope left, what can be done to prevent it? Nobody knows for sure, but a battle of life and death is bound to come. NOTE: Consider this story as the first version. I want to keep working on it so that the story can actually finish at one point for future development. I want to eventually make it a webtoon comic, but the story still needs to be written and the art still needs be improved. So I'll keep writing for now, but expect the final result to be much better than the story now. Until then, I hope we can have a great time together with this writing experiment. Thanks!
