“Yo, Red… I am sure he’s fine- ”
“Shut up...” Red interrupted Blue.
“... I warned him, yet he walked on his own.” Red replied.
“And if he died, he probably deserved it, didn’t he?” Red said, grinning.
“Just wait, White is searching for him. He will find Grey in no time.” Blue replied.
“Well, what if he doesn’t? What if he got taken hostage?” Red said.
Blue stopped talking and let out a sigh.
“Well, for now we have to wait...” Blue said.
Red walked to a chair and took a seat, looking down. He started to crack his knuckles.
“... If those other mafia losers got Grey… I’ll take their head with me all the way to the Netherlands.” Red said, mumbling.

“As expected… Kuruka was still alive.” The man behind the screens said, grinning.
He was looking through a screen, that showed Tado and Uchiko guard Kuruka.
“So… I guess it’s Tado’s time to move out, unless he gave up on the revenge thing.” The man said.
The man turned to the chained girl.
“What do you think?” The man asked.
The girl didn’t reply, she had her eyes closed.
“Jees… You’re really boring...” The man said.
“... If you keep up like this, I’ll probably kill you too.” The man followed up, grinning.
- - Tado, Uchiko and Kuruka, Abandoned Factory - -
- 02:00 -
Uchiko looked at Tado.
“So, how long do you know Kuruka?” She asked.
“Oh… We all go from way back, when we lived at an Orphanage.” Tado replied.
“An Orphanage?” Uchiko asked.
“Yeah… We all had a pretty rough past with our family, so two people took care of us.” Tado explained.
“Really? Those two must’ve been really kind people.” Uchiko said.
“Yeah, Ryan and Anne were really kind… It’s because of them we ended so close to each other.” Tado continued.
“... But, one day Takumi’s brother came to the Orphanage and burned it down, along with the two...” Tado mumbled.
“Oh… I- I am sorry for asking.” Uchiko said
“It’s fine… We kind of grew over it by now.” Tado replied.
“Welp… If you don’t mind, I am gonna do another round of patrolling.” Uchiko said, smiling.
“Sure...” Tado replied.
Tado sat down on the ground, letting out a sigh. He looked at his watch.
It was almost time for Takumi’s time to guard.
But… It took too long…
They might not be at that coordinate anymore.
Tado kept looking at the coordinates…

“... Damn it. If I want to make it, I’ll have to go now.” Tado mumbled to himself, standing up.
He walked to the drawer, pulling out one hand gun. He then grabbed his jacket and walked to the door.
“... Takumi should be here any minute by now.” Tado mumbled to himself.
Just when he reached for the door, he heard footsteps behind him. Tado quickly turned.
“Where are you going?” Uchiko asked.
“I...” Tado mumbled.
Uchiko looked at the piece of paper in Tado’s hand.
“What is that?” Uchiko asked.
“Oh-...” Tado mumbled, looking at the paper.
“... Nothing special.” Tado replied.
“Oh? Are you sure-” She said, reaching for the paper.
Tado quickly took a step back. He slowly started to get nervous. He has to do something before the night shift is done.
“I, eh… -” Tado was mumbling, until sounds could be heard from Kuruka’s room.
Tado’s eyes widened up.
“Did… Kuruka wake up?” Tado mumbled.
They both ran to Kuruka’s room, noticing his hand was shaking. Uchiko quickly checked out his pulse.
“Oh… false alarm.” Uchiko mumbled.
“... Actually, it’s good news because he- ”
Uchiko suddenly stopped talking, as she got hit on the back of her head. Tado was breathing heavily.
“...I… I am sorry.” Tado mumbled, as he holstered the handgun.
“I made sure you wouldn’t get injured from that hit...” Tado said, as he put on his jacket, also putting on his face with the hood on the back of his jacket.
The fur of the hood covered most of his face, as he walked out of the building.
He looked at the piece of paper…
“the coordinates shouldn’t be too far away… ” He mumbled, disappearing in the shadows of the alleyway…

- - Back at the Mansion - -
- 30 minutes later -
“Something is odd… Why haven’t they called yet?” Nokado mumbled.
“Weren’t they supposed to call us midnight?” Ukato replied.
“True… We have to wait, until midnight.” said.
Takumi let out a sigh.
“I agree with Nokado...” Takumi said.
“See… something is feeling odd...” Nokado replied.
“... We should at least check it out.” Takumi answered, looking at everyone.
Suddenly the door bursts open, it’s Kanami. She is completely tired, as if she came running.
“T-... Tado is gone!” Kanami shouts.
Takumi’s eyes widen up, as he stand up.
“What happened?” Nokado asked.
“I… don’t know, come quick, I’ll explain everything I know.” Yanami said, as she ran back outside and entered the car.
The others quickly ran after her…

“This is… Definitely...” Tado mumbles, walking up to the giant garage door of the warehouse.
Tado grabbed the bottom of the door and pulled the garage door up, just enough to crawl through it. The door slammed close behind him.
Tado stood back up and wiped the dust off him. In front of him was another door, it looked open, so he walked through it-
His eyes widened up.
Tado arrived at a room, with dead pigs everywhere. The pigs were hooked on some kind of old machine.
“W- What the hell...” Tado mumbled.
Tado took some steps back, suddenly bumping into someone.
The man had a paper bag on his head.
The man behind him had a huge grin. As he opened his mouth…
“How unfortunate...”
Tado quickly turned, only to get hit in his stomach by a brass knuckle.
Tado’s eyes widened up, as another punch hit him in his fist.
Tado fell on his back, when he looked up he realized who was in front of him.
“Y- You are...” Tado mumbled.
The man grinned, as he cracked his knuckles.
“... This one’s for ruining the skyscraper.” The man said, as he took off his hood.
The man in front of him was a member of The Allied Gang, with the codename: Canada.
Tado slowly stood up, replacing his surgical mask on his mouth.
“I apologise… But I don’t plan on dying here.” Tado mumbled, grinning.
Tado reached for his holster, and pulled out his handgun.
Canada charged at the same time, smacking the handgun out of his hand.
The pistol flied off to the other side of the hooked pigs.
Canada then swung his fist straight at Tado. Tado dodged, following up with a knee in Canada’s chest.
Canada took one step back from the blow, and took a more defence-like position.
“You know… We both are no big difference.” Canada said.
Tado looked confused at him.
“We both have been…” He slowly started to mumble.
“physically abused...” He mumbled.
Tado’s eyes widened up.
“W- What do you mean?” Tado asked.
“See… I can smell it out of you.” Canada replied.
“...You weren’t the only one with dangerous parents.” Canada said.
Tado smirked.
“Yes… My mother was indeed abusive...” Tado mumbled.
“... But my thoughts have changed since then...” Tado said.
“... She might’ve abused me, but she regretted it too.” Tado explained.
Canada’s eyes widened up.
“Nonsense… You think parents are kind?!” Canada shouted.
Tado wanted to say something. But he cannot forget that it’s a rival in front of him, not a friend.
“Since the day I was born… They used me for their own Entertainment!“ Canada shouted, once again.
Canada placed his hands on the bag of his head.
“Everyday… With no ending to it… Until I left the house.” Canada mumbled.
“... Looks like I was wrong...” Canada said.
He suddenly charged Tado, swinging his fist.
“... We are different, after all!” He shouted.
Tado blocked his punch, but the brass knuckles still inflicted a lot damage.
Tado reached his arm back, punching Canada in his chest.
Canada stopped, as his eyes widened up.
Canada quickly then reached for a knife holster and pulled out a knife.
He quickly swung it straight to Tado, the knife scarred Tado’s arm.
Tado quickly took multiple step back, falling onto the wall.
His eyes widened up as he saw blood dripping out of his arm.
He started to feel really awful, but still leaned back up.
Tado followed up with a deep breath.
“Are you finally ready to die?” Canada asked.
“Oh, I think you’re ahead of yourself.” Tado replied.
Canada grinned, as he took off one of his brass knuckles.
He threw the brass knuckles to the ground in front of Tado.
Canada pointed to his head.
“If you’ll be able to lay one scar on my front skull, I will spare you for this once.” Canada said, grinning.
Tado grabbed the brass knuckle and put it on.
“Sure...” Tado mumbled.
“...I hope you’re ready to get knocked.” Tado said, as he charged.
“We’ll see!” Canada shouted, as he charged.
Canada swung the knife straight at Tado.
Tado dodged, but his Surgical mask got hit and fell off.
Canada’s eyes widened up.
Tado swung his fist straight at Canada, but missed him last second.
Canada dodged the fist and punched Tado in his chest.
Tado’s eyes widened up, as he fell on his knees.
“D- Damn it...” Tado mumbled.
“Looks like you lost… Doesn’t it?” Canada replied.
Tado was silent, still holding his chest. Canada slowly walked up to him.
“I am pretty sure you haven’t forgotten or deal?” Canada said, grinning.
“S- Shut up!” Tado shouted, trying to punch him.
Tado missed. Canada took a step back and followed up with a kick on Tado’s face.
Tado fell on his back, as the pain ached throughout his whole body. Canada suddenly realized all the holes Tado had around his mouth.
“Look at you… At that disgusting mouth.” Canada said, grinning.
Tado’s eyes widened up.
“S- Shut the hell up...” Tado mumbled, slowly standing up.
I cannot afford to lose…
“You wanna try again?” Canada asked, grinning.
Tado didn’t reply, but he stood back in position.
I might can’t win like this… But I have a plan… He mumbled to himself.
Before he had the time to rethink, Canada already charged straight at him...

A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
