The Beast

The beast was angry, It was hurt, It was starving, and it was all the fault of some mere preys. Individually, they were nothing, just slightly harder to kill than the other, but they were never alone. Worse, they had taken hold of the only source of water and attacked anything the considered a threat on sight.

After suffering a few defeat to mere preys, It had no choice but the leave its territory in search of water or die of dehydration. Thankfully, It was fast and there was an ample amount of smaller preys in the more humid regions.

At least, until they fled to the forest in fear of the beast. Since then it all spiraled down, It could not hunt properly because of all those trees blocking Its way, It was forced to flee and nearly lost an eye to the flying ones when it attacked their nest only to get almost strangled to death by a serpent.

Now, he was angry at the world, It wanted to kill, It wanted to eat, but all fled before It and It could not find, could not catch up to them.

Maybe It could survive a bit longer eating fishes, but it was meager food and would not sustain It for long.
