Jason couldn't hold back and gave her a bear hug, the fear of losing her had made him realize something.

"I love you" he whispered softly with a voice full of unexplainable emotions.

This made Arya's mind go black she couldn't help but bush fiercely at such intimate actions, their bodies were so close that even air couldn't pass through them.

What she failed to notice was a crimson glow that flashed from Jason's body and travelled to her body, she could feel her body heat up but she mistook it for a natural reaction of her body on feeling his muscular chest pressing upon her.

"W-what…" Arya opened and closed her mouth several times but this is all she could say. Although both of them knew they had unsaid feelings between them but the fear of losing their friendship stopped them from expressing those feelings.

"Ahm" Harry cleared his throat loudly, waking them from their trance.

"Don't we have an apocalypse to handle?" Harry reminded them, he hadn't missed the crimson glow but this only added to the shroud of mystery around his best friend, he had thought about sorting things once they are out of danger.

"we'll talk later" Jason looked in her eyes to convey the urgency of the situation.

Arya, on the other hand, couldn't even follow what these two idiots were saying, she just chose to follow their lead for now.

Jason fumbled with the bus key in his hands as he tried to see the serial no. written on it.

Suddenly His entire vision flashed crimson causing him to stop what he was doing and look towards the timer with a stuffy feeling inside his chest.

"Fuck me sideways!" He cursed under his breath, the timer had reached 0 and the end of the world the literal doomsday had just begun.

He intuitively held his breath as if waiting for an omen indicating that all of this was a big scam.

"Aiyeeeee!"

"Eeyah!"

"Arrgh!"

He didn't have to wait for long as different kinds of hair-raising screams reverberated all around the campus, some of them filled with horror and anguish while some with amazement and astonishment as they couldn't comprehend what was happening all around them.

These screams caused a chill run up his spine, he could see horror plastered over both his companion's faces, he knew even his own face wasn't any different from theirs.

"SO it really is happening" Was all that Harry could say as his mind went haywire thinking about the world's end.

"W-what is happening!!!" Arya couldn't hold it in anymore as she broke down, all the screams were still resounding in her ears causing her to have a mental breakdown.

Jason quickly gave her a strong hug and then took her hand and looked in her eyes and said.

"It'll all be alright"

He dragged her with him as he also shook Harry's shoulders, jolting him back to reality.

"find bus no. 6, fast" Jason commanded him as he ran the other way to look for the bus.

Gazing at his running form as he took her by her hands had caused a surge of emotions inside her but she kept it in knowing how delicate the situation was.

Jason skidded to a stop as he found the bus but there was someone… or you can say something else also near the bur, running towards them.

The guard or what used to be the guard was rushing towards them from the front gate, with its mouth wide open and with a set of razor-sharp teeth that would never fit an ordinary man's mouth, they looked more like shark's teeth rather than a man's.

Green slimy fluid also flowed from the guard's mouth which dripped from his mouth as his head swayed left and right causing the ground to fizz when the fluid came in contact with the barren ground.

All of this clearly indicated that this horrendous thing was not the guard they once knew but a zombie which was rushing towards them to sink its pointy teeth in their flesh and feast upon it.

Their eyes widened as saw the horrendous creature rushing at them. Jason suppressed the shifter that ran up his spine.

"Run" Jason Dragged Arya as he ran from the zombie towards the makeshift weapons that they had foolishly left behind as they went in search of the bus.

"So freaking stupid" Jason muttered under his breath as he couldn't stop swearing at his own stupidity.

"Why can't it be slow like the zombies in the movies, and why is its saliva acidic…" Jason complained as he glanced backwards, the zombie was gaining upon them as his running speed definitely rivalled to that of a healthy male sprinting with all his strength.

Jason saw some hope as he saw that the weapons were just 50 meters away from them, but on glancing back the zombie was just 10 meters away from them and he would reach Arya in no time.

His breath quickened as he could his heart beating like a war drum.

'Badumb' 'Badumb'

He could feel his heart beating faster and faster every second.

Arya was giving it her all as her face was flushed red with beads of sweat shining upon her beautiful face. Her legs were quivering under pressure but she grit her teeth and pushed herself to the limits. The zombie was just upon her as she could hear it's heaving breath from behind.

Jason finally reached the bat but the zombie was also upon them.

"aaaaaah!" Jason screamed out loud as he used the all the power he could muster he overworked every inch of his body to push Arya sideways and he ran up on the side of the bus and flung his body midair into a full swivel as he arched his back to put all his energy into the swing.

"Bam!" the running zombie was met with a baseball bat right on its forehead cracking it open with a cracking sound.

The skull of the zombie was crushed and the area was filled with disgusting sounds of brain matter smacking on the ground.
