Screams loud enough to shatter glass cut through the air as children and women watch on, a headless creature with wings fly over their heads. Carrying a grown woman as if she were a newborn. With the constant momentum along with the screeching sounds, Kai wakes shaken, having a hard time making out the situation.
“H-hey what’s going on, where’s the angel?”, Kai wipes his eyes while riding on the back of Roman.
“Finally. Get us the hell up there we gotta get Llida’s mom”, Roman let’s go of Kai as he fumbles to keep up. Llida shouting on the phone while he runs.
“Llida! What would an angel want with your mother!”
“I don’t have time to explain! I heard you could help me out, so help me out!”, Kai had never seen Llida this distressed before. He stops his advancement and crouches down, pulling at his hair.
“Roman, ready?”, they stop in their tracks.
“Yeah”
They teleport a few inches in front of the butler. Kai grabs Llida’s mother as he falls unto the roof of an outdoors upstairs restaurant. The chill runs through his spine as a girl in a school uniform attack’s him, kicking a wooden chair at his knees. She jumps up at the chair and swings a large cleaver at both Kai and Llida’s mom. Kai teleports the mother 6 feet above him, dodging the blade and punching her in the jaw. He catches the mother and begins his run towards the door. The mother’s purple dress is caught by a girl in a blue tracksuit. Kai kicks at her leg from behind and then her chest. The door is blocked by two larger guys in tank tops, both black and white.
“What the hell do you guys want with her?”, Kai slowly backs away from the door as the tracksuit girl gets up.

“I’d rather not waste my precious time explaining our cause to someone like you”, A woman with red hair and sunglasses’ mixes a sunlight colored drink in shimmering glass. Her white almost wedding-like dress brushing the floor as she rises from her chair.
“This woman is as precious to us as a jewel”,. she caresses the mother’s face with her red acrylic nails.
“And without her”, her hands flow across her face like a cloth in the wind and move towards
her neck.
“Our precious god will never see how well we’ve done!” She grabs the mother’s neck as the other’s restrain Kai. He shouts as the woman holds the Mother’s neck by the neck.
The sound of an engine can be heard as a mass of metal crashes into the floor of the restaurant. The yellow motorcycle being ridden by Llida breaks tables and chairs as he fires shots at everyone on the platform. A bullet lands dead center of the crazy woman’s head, causing her to let go of Llida’s mother. Kai takes this opportunity to teleport the two away. A black car waits at the foot of the restaurant.
“Get in kid” A mysterious voice beckons to Kai. The driver looks familiar. Right, he was at Llida’s home. In the car sit’s Roman sitting without his Coat. Kai lay’s the mother down in the back seat and sits in the front.
“Man, that guy was annoying as hell. I lost all my damn weapons,” Roman slams the head of the driver’s seat. “Oh, my bad”
“Those girls on top of the restaurant, too. They were talking about how God wouldn’t see how good they’ve done. What does Llida’s mom have to do with that?”, Kai lies back in the seat as his hands shake.
“Llida will explain everything when the time comes. For now. Enjoy yourselves. We’ll take it from here,” Outside the car was a huge Manor with a large presence on the outside.

“What is all this?”, Kai asks
“You guys have a birthday party to attend, right? Llida told me to bring you guys right here.”
“That guy. Even after all that happened he won’t miss out on her party huh”, Roman snickers to himself. Kai follows suit. The two laugh at the entrance to Rosa’s manor.
“Hey you guys!”, they can hear a familiar cute voice as Rosa walks towards the two in an oversized pink dress and tiara. She does not look happy.

Errant
Amateur fighter Kestril only remembers two things about her mother's disappearance: a locket and the promise she made to keep her brother safe. That promise is all she thinks of when she jumps in front of a car to save her brother. She expects death, but instead wakes up to a looming clock tower, cobblestone streets, and dead soldiers wearing lockets just like her mother's. Kess's locket marks her as one of the Errant- people with control over dimensions and time, and the same people rumored to have captured her brother across the city. When a military group mistakes Kess for their enemy, she swears allegiance at gunpoint, hoping to search for her brother from within. Inside, Kess finds an even darker side of the city bent on killing the Errant-using any means necessary. When the murder of an important Errant soldier throws the city further into civil war, Kess uncovers a plot that could undo everything she's fought for so far. The only problem? Her brother is at the head of it. Trapped between her promise to her mother and her morals, Kess finds little use for her theatrical brawling of the past. She can only hope to find her brother before it's too late. || Update: 4/24/2022 Have decided to rewrite this novel, but will continue to post chapters of this draft, possibly with commentary.
