《Percy Jackson: Why Does Rebirth Have To Be So Confusing?》Nyx The Scary Demon

Her hands glowed faintly for a second before disappearing. I heard Mnemosyne say “Oh, and this might hurt a little,” before a giant wave of pain hit me making me stagger backwards. I had time to think ‘Thanks for telling me ahead of time’ sarcastically before I blacked out.
~PJO~
I woke up groggily, my head pounding. I was lying in a bed in a small room that looked like a hospital room, only without the machines.
Zagreus was standing over me. “Oh, look he’s awake!” He said excitedly.
I groaned. “Are you always this cheerful when someone gets hurt?”
“Yep!” Zagreus said cheerfully. Someone laughed.
I sat up and looked around. The room I was in had gray walls, a soft white carpet, and a bed (which I was on) next to the wall. There was a tv on the wall, a desk, with a laptop on it and a bookshelf.
Mnemosyne and Styx were standing next to a wall, snickering. Nyx was gone. ‘Thank the gods’ said Odysseus. ‘She was scary’
That ‘scary’ person walked into the room just then. ‘Oh gods. It’s like I summoned her!’ Odysseus said fearfully.
‘You think she’s a demon?’ I asked back mentally. There was no answer. Rude.
Mnemosyne looked at me strangely. I saw a small smile on her face, but it disappeared as Zagreus started talking.
“How do you feel?” He said, with a concerned look on his face.
I answered, glaring at him “I have a giant headache and my throat hurts.”
Nyx snorted. I glanced at her. She raised her eyebrow at me, her expression saying, “What are you looking at me for?”
“Well, if it isn’t our charming Nyx! How are you doing, sweetheart?” Zagreus said, purposely trying to make her mad.

Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. Even me. ‘Does he have a death wish?’ Odysseus asked.
Nyx voiced those exact thoughts out loud. “I swear to Chaos, Zagreus, it’s like you want to die today.”
Zagreus smiled charmingly at her. “Maybe I do, sweetheart. You’ll never know.”
She glared at him. (No surprise there) He just smiled back innocently.
Mnemosyne sighed. “Could you two stop fighting for at least one minute? We do have a guest you know.”
Nyx crossed her arms. “We should just kill him, and be done with it.”
I immediately paled. “Please don’t,” I squeaked out.
Styx leaned back against the wall. “I gotta say I agree with Nyx, it would be less complicated if we killed him.”
Zagreus pouted. “Yeah, but it would be less fun! Besides we still gotta make him our champion. Haven’t you always wanted a champion?”
“No.”
Mnemosyne interrupted them saying, “We aren’t going to kill him, idiots.”
“Hey, I’m not an idiot!” Styx said indignantly.
“Neither am I!”
Nyx just said, “And who’s going to stop me if I do try to kill him?”
The room went silent. The voice in my head squeaked in fear.
Then Zagreus burst into laughter. “Oh my gods, you don’t actually hate Percy, do you?”
Nyx looked shocked for a moment, before her face went completely blank. “I have no idea what you are talking about,” She said in an emotionless voice.
Zagreus ignored her, and between laughs, he said, “You have a crush on him, don’t you? You totally like him.”
Nyx went completely still. Styx just looked shocked. But Mnemosyne burst into laughter.
“I ship it,” She said in amusement.
I was speechless with astonishment.

“I do NOT have a crush on him.” Nyx hissed. She was completely white with fury, and I thought I saw a hint of fear in her eyes, before it disappeared. I was probably imagining it.
‘I'm not so sure about that’ Odysseus remarked. ‘I think I saw it too.”
Mnemosyne stopped laughing, glanced at us then back at Nyx. Then back at us.
Zagreus was confused. “Whatcha looking at, Nemy?”
“Nothing! And don’t call me Nemy. That’s a ridiculous name.”
“I’ll think about it,” Was his answer. Then his attention went back to Nyx. “Are you sure you don’t have a crush on him.”
“I don’t !” Nyx retorted angrily.
“Getting a bit defensive, aren’t you?”
“Zagreus, that’s enough.” Mnemosyne said severely. Zagreus glanced at her, then back at Nyx. Then back at her. I was just as confused.
“Sorry,” He said guiltily. ‘Yeah, you better be’ Odysseus agreed. ‘I’m not really in the mood to die today’
Nyx just glared at Zagreus, and stalked out of the room.
“Well, that went well, don’t you think?” Styx remarked sarcastically.
