《Percy Jackson: Why Does Rebirth Have To Be So Confusing?》Oh Look Another Goddess That Doesn't Like Me

Percy's POV
She raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. “Oh, him? He thinks you are dead. He left a while ago. You’ve been down here about an hour.”
“WHAT!!!”
“I said-” “I know what you said.” I said angrily. “But what do you mean I have been down here for an hour? It hasn’t felt like that long.”
She rolled her eyes. That was starting to get annoying. I mean, I wasn’t that bad, right?
“I am a goddess, Perseus. I am even more powerful than those idiotic gods, you call Olympians. I can easily change the time flow, for whoever is inside my domain. And right now, you are in my domain. Even though you shouldn’t be” The last part she said quietly, as if to herself. Rude.
I tried to wrap my mind around that. “So, you slowed time down here, for me? Why the Hades, would you do that? Everyone is going to freak out.” I started to hyperventilate. They are going to think I'm dead! That’s not good.
“Woah, calm down.” Styx walked over to me and placed her hands on my shoulders. “When we're done here, you can go tell them that you're still alive. Maybe.”
Suddenly three people appeared behind to her, smirking. One was male while the other two were female. “Styxie, I don’t think that helped him calm down,” The male said.
She stiffened, and took her hands off my shoulders, slightly blushing. Weird. She turned around to face the newcomers.
The male was tall and had spiky black hair, and bright gold eyes. The first female was a little shorter than the male, had brown hair, with a gold headband holding it out of her face and sharp blue eyes. The second female was the tallest, but only by a few inches. She had hair so black it looked like it had blue and purple highlights. Her eyes were black as well.

“Mnemosyne, Zagreus, Nyx” Styx nodded to each of them as she said their name. “What are you doing here?” She said stiffly, glaring at Zagreus.
He snickered. “C’mon, you seriously can’t still be mad about last time! That was, like, a month ago.”
Styx ignored him, and looked expectantly, at the females, Nyx and Mnemosyne. I just stared at them in shock.
Mnemosyne sighed, glaring at Zagreus. “We heard there was a reborn soul visiting your waters, and Zagreus and I came along to help you. Nyx was just bored, so she decided to tag along. And we might need her help, if this goes wrong.”
I gulped. That didn’t sound good.
Everyone’s gazes shifted to me. Zagreus clapped his hands together. “So this is Percy Jackson? Awesome!” He walked a little closer to me. “I’m a great fan of your work killing monsters! Is it really true that you killed Antaeus by hanging him in the air with chains?” I nodded, a little shocked. “Wow! It’s nice to meet you! Im Zagreus, Son of Hades and Persephone, the god of Mysteries, Hunting and Rebirth!” He held out his hand for me to shake, and I shook it nervously.
“Zagreus, stop fanboying. You're making him nervous,” Mnemosyne chided.
She smiled mischievously at me, and pushed Zagreus out of the way. “Hey!” He protested rubbing his shoulder, staggering back.
“I'm Mnemosyne, the Titaness of Memory. I’ve heard a lot about you.” I heard an excited voice in the back of my head say ‘hey, I’ve met her before!’
That confused me. First of all I was pretty sure I had never met Mnemosyne before. And second of all, why was there even a voice in my head!
Nyx snorted. (For some reason I just imagined her as a horse) ”That voice in your head is pretty much your memories of being Odysseus, formed into a being. You won’t have all the memories of Odysseus, until ‘he’ approves of you and gives you permission. And, yes Odysseus met Mnemosyne before, when she took his memories for rebirth.”

Wait was she- “Yes I was reading your mind. It was easier to read than a donkey’s. You don’t have any protection whatsoever!” She looked at me in disdain.
Zagreus stared at her strangely. So did I. “When have you ever read the mind of a donkey?”
She glared at him. “It was an expression, you idiot.”
He shook his head in hurt. “You wound me with your words, oh great lady. My heart is broken! Completely shattered!” He put his hand over his heart, with an expression of betrayal on his face.
For some reason Nyx glared at me like it was my fault. Mnemosyne made a move as if to slap Zagreus, but he swiftly moved out of the way, which ruined the entertainment for me.
Zagreus grinned. “Well since this beautiful person isn’t going to introduce herself, I’ll do it for her! This is Nyxie, Primordial goddess of Night! I'm sure you two will be the best of friends!”
“Do NOT call me Nyxie.” She scowled at him.
He pouted. “Why ever not, darling?” Both Mnemosyne and Styx paled slightly, edging away from him slowly.
The voice in my head snorted. I jumped in surprise. Nyx scowled at me instead of Zagreus. I slowly moved my hand to my pocket, getting ready to grab Riptide, in case she wanted to kill me. She certainly looked like she did.
“I'm not going to harm you, Perseus Jackson.” She said, but her eyes told a different story.
Plus only people who wanted to kill me called me by my full name.
“Darling, I don't think that was that encouraging.” Zagreus laughed. “I. Am. Not. Your. Darling.” Nyx said angrily.
I relaxed slightly, now that her attention was on Zagreus. I really didn’t have any plans to die today. ‘Yeah well neither did I and look how that turned out’ said the voice in my head. Odysseus.
I turned my attention back to the people before me, and saw they had started arguing. Yikes.
The voice in my head started humming a song. It was very distracting. ‘Can you not?' I said to the annoying voice in my head, not sure if it would work. It worked. ‘You know you could stop referring to me as the voice in your head . I am a person, not just a voice’ The voice said back. Then it started humming again.
Wait! I knew that song! It was… ‘If you're a dead soul from the past, then how do you know songs that were made in the future?’ I asked the voice in my head. The arguing stopped in front of me.
“That is a good point,” Zagreus said, sounding mildly surprised.
Wait were they still- “Reading your mind? Yes, yes we are. It is very amusing” said Styx. I jumped. I had forgotten she was there.
‘For your information, I know what the song is because I have been living in your head for the past 16 years, and I have all your memories.’ The voice said this in an obnoxiously bossy tone of voice.
‘Hey! I am not obnoxious! Or bossy.’ Everyone standing in the bubble snorted at that. ‘And technically if you are calling me obnoxious, then you’re calling yourself obnoxious too. Because I am you and you are me. And since I am you, STOP CALLING ME A VOICE IN YOUR HEAD.’ With that point the voice in my- sorry Odysseus fell silent.
