《One Piece: The New Age》Hawk Vs. Falcon! A Fight Between Men.

The intimidating man known as Sero Inuzuka was a pillar of strength in comparison to Pogo, but Pogo had planned for this all along. He might not win, but this was his ticket to freedom. He might even get Sero as a crew mate if he’s lucky enough. Readying himself, he felt surprisingly light on his feet. It was as if that last fight had polished a monster in the making.
“Alright, go!” Pogo said, and the battle commenced. It detonated like an explosive star! The men charged in with fists at each other’s necks. Pogo’s was the first to hit, and then Sero’s hit. Both punches sent the men into the walls, Pogo’s was a little stronger. He was growing stronger at an unnatural rate. He didn’t realize it himself, but his ambition was carrying his strength.
The metal sound of beating and fighting ensued inside the cell. The marine guards began to hear these noises of shuffling feet and destructive body blows. Looking to the left, the marine was shocked to find a bloody scene. Pogo was barely standing as he breathed heavily for air. Sero was clinging against the wall as his eyes grew hazy. “Stop right there! Fighting is not allowed!” The marines filed in and unlocked the gate, shuffling the keys into the lock and turning it just to where it would click.
A hand caught the marines wrist from the inside of the cell. It was Sero, “Do not enter this cell unless you want to die. This is a man’s battle! A test of strength! If you interrupt, I’ll kill all of you! I won’t lose to this boy.” He turned his attention back to Pogo after having scared the seaman recruits waiting behind the cell. They were vastly afraid of the notoriety of G7. An infamous mafia group that held considerable bargaining power in the East Blue. It wouldn’t be wise to get involved with the man apart of it.

Pogo was breathing hard, his arms were crippled against his torso as his swollen face could hardly make out the G7 man’s face. Against all odds, even after getting the shit beat out of him, he was growing stronger by the second. It wasn’t after countless months of training or a hard fought battle, but the will to keep getting stronger and to become the king of the pirates. The will to defeat Ortis! “I’ll become the king of the pirates!” Pogo screamed, lurching his fist at Sero at a high speed. The punch sifted through the air like a deadly hawk as it came blow to blow with Sero’s cheek. Sero’s face contorted at the pain as he was forcibly flailed back into a corner.
Pogo wasted no time, hitting a combination on Sero in the corner. “Joiiiiin….myyyyyyy…..crewwwwww!!!!!!!!!” He exaggerated each word, mauling all of his strength into this combination and feeling his heart bleed a somber tune of past regret. He would disregard his regrets into ambitions! Then it hit his jaw like a viper from the weeds, a destructive uppercut from the moon and back sent him flying backwards. Sero was bleeding from the combination attack, but he was durable and would never give up. “What the hell are you made of kid? You were already injured when we started fighting!” Sero was in a state of disbelief.
He couldn’t believe that he had lasted that long, but now he was glad that it was over. If he hadn’t finished it with that uppercut, he might have been finished himself there for a second or two. When he reopened his eyes, he was met with Pogo struggling to get up, his legs shaking and his back bucking as he tried to restlessly battle onward. “I-I will not lose to you!” His fist grew tighter as he found his emergency energy tank and charged one more time at the man who would definitely not lose in his condition. Sero still had some energy to use.

“Kid! You’ve dug your own grave!” He sent a powerful hook at Pogo and sent him soaring once again, this time to the left. After clumping to the ground once more, he struggled to get up. Of course the marines watching this affair were dumbfounded on this boy taking on the G7 member. They were simply charred to the bone, and wouldn’t move unless someone snapped them out of this trance and ordered them to move in. Pogo struggled to his feet with his sandals one more time. His blackish hair was now sweaty as he seemed to even tower over Sero now.
What figurative scaffolding had risen Pogo to these heights? How was he so strong when it mattered most? Sero clasped his hands together, his brow furrowed in anger and evident frustration. “Full Fist Falcon!” He said in a masculine voice, and took the stance of a martial artists. He was majestic as the falcon in his previous statement, the strikes were now air tight to the marines, but Pogo could clearly see each strike even though he couldn’t dodge them himself. He took three hooked punches to the chest and coughed up a sizable amount of blood, crashing against the wall as rock crumbled against his cheek.
From the depths of hell itself, Sero had pulled off a miraculous victory against the boy. His fist raised in the air as he reveled in his victory. He wasn’t sure if he’d gotten rusty while in the cell or if the boy was simply that strong, but he applauded him in the least. Now he couldn’t force the argument that he had to join that dumb pirate crew. The marines were so shocked at this development, they had been rooting for Pogo to beat the man the entire time. They silently prayed for a miracle, and that’s exactly what they got.
With the flutter of his eyes, he reinvigorated himself again! This was his true showdown, as he stood up without struggle. He darted up even. Adrenaline coarsed his veins, and anger reinforced his hot-steaming blood. “I will become King of the Pirates.” Pogo said, and Sero’s heart immediately dropped, he barely had time to turn around before the enlarged image of a fist entered his vision and smacked straight against him. “FuuUUghhGHH.” Sero said, crashing hard into the opposite wall with a bang. He barely had time to put up his guard before monumental strikes burrowed into his skin from Pogo. A full-on barrage to completely wear down the enemy.
The exchange seemed endless as blood spurted from both parties, the battle had become completely one-sided and Pogo’s rage continued in a bloody onslaught. This was a slaughter, and the marines stormed in and pinned Pogo against the opposite wall. He was still throwing punch after punch into the air in a mostly unconscious state of awareness. Sero on the other end was completely knocked out, his irisces were completely void of all life as he hung limp over against the wall. He wasn’t dead, but Pogo had long since finished this battle. Under normal circumstances, Pogo wouldn’t have won, but Pogo wasn’t normal.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
