《Talents: Activate》Talents Activate: Chapter 9.5

Somewhere in the South Eastern region, one of the six regions of a federation known as Nigeria, in a small building with a cool atmosphere, Nnanna keeps pacing around the door of the labor room. He is quite anxious to see his new born baby, a girl just as he had wished.
"Waaa!!!" He hears the cry of the baby.
"Finally!!!" He says to himself. Quickly, he rushes into the room without any permission, not that he needed any, being the chief of one of the great communities of the eastern region.
"Congratulations Sir," the doctor in charge says as she turns towards the door knowing that it is Nnanna that just entered.
"It's a baby girl as predicted," she adds.
"Truly she bears the crest, I can see it just by looking at her," Ozioma, the mother of the baby and the wife of Nnanna, says as she holds the baby.
"Indeed, she will be a strong force to be reckoned with. I guess Uzodinma's predictions are accurate as expected," Nnanna says, poking the cheeks of his new baby girl.
While all the celebrations and rejoicing are going on, the air suddenly becomes quite warm, too warm for the usual.
Feeling the change in atmosphere, Nnanna's countenance changes.
"Ugo!!! Onyema!!! Adindu!!! Guard the door and prepare for any battle!!!" He shouts.
Immediately, three muscular men in ash uniforms and heavy black boots, swiftly appear in front of the door, on guard. They each have rings on their smallest fingers and out of this rings come swords and shields which materialized to physical form. These swords can cut into half, even from a distance, a military grade tank and the shield can defend against missiles. These are not your average warriors but those blessed with the transphasic energy (the combination of spiritual and physical energy).
The three warriors stand focused and ready for any incoming attack. Suddenly, a figure appears a distance from them and begins walking as one with authority towards them.
Before they can get a good glimpse of the face of the mysterious figure, just by feeling his Phasic aura, they quickly rush at the figure to launch a combined attack. The figure, a man, pauses, raises his left palm towards them as they approach and what seems like three small balls of fire emerge from his palm. With great force, each ball of fire moves towards the targets, expanding on the way, makes contact and explodes before the warriors can react sending the three warriors flying in different directions.
The man starts walking towards the delivery room once more.
"Chinaka, take my wife and the baby along with your team and make a run for it. I'll hold off our uninvited guest." Nnanna says, as he walks towards the door.
"In case of anything that happens, this child's name is Ifunanya, as you have said earlier Ozioma," he adds.
"Please come back safely," Ozioma replies. Some team members of Chinaka, the doctor, help Ozioma up and support her as they make a run for it through another door. Chinaka has the baby Ifunanya, in her hands.

"Ikeoku Arinze!!! So you've come for my child just as you said when Ozioma was still pregnant with her," Nnanna yells as the two men meet at the door of the delivery room.
Ikeoku, the mysterious figure earlier, chuckles and replies,
"Nnanna Obidiegwu, I already gave you a heads up that your child possesses the crest of Anyanwu just like I do and you know very well what I have done to the other crests of Anyanwu. Why do you think I have existed for over two centuries now?! It is through the power of the crests and the dark arts that I am able to increase my life force, phasic energy and vitality. Your child shall not be an exception! Hand her over quietly except you wish to do battle against me."
"You bastard!!!" Nnanna shouts in anger.
"I will kill you!!!" He adds.
Instantly, the whole building begins to quiver violently as sparks of lightning emanate from Nnanna's body.
"You dare defy me!!! Arrogant brat!!!" Ikeoku replies and immediately, the whole surrounding is swallowed up in flames as the walls and the floor start to crack.
Nnanna, with lightning sparks on his hands, clap them together. A powerful sonic boom is generated, pushing Ikeoku some distance away and also cracking to pieces all the glass objects around that area. The sound is so loud, it can be heard several miles away from the building making some people to think that a heavy rain was about to fall.
He then stretches his right hand towards Ikeoku's direction about to launch an attack but Ikeoku vanishes and appears at Nnanna's front just behind Nnanna's stretched hand. He launches a powerful punch on Nnanna which sends him flying a mile away from the building, breaking through the walls.
"Now to find the child," Ikeoku says to himself. By using a ray of light, he searches the whole building and its surrounding neighborhood swiftly. He is able to locate the escaping team and by tracing the ray of light, is able to appear instantly at their location.
"Ozioma, I am disappointed. You know very well my abilities. Did you really think you could escape? That I wouldn't find you?" He says in his deep raspy authoritative voice.
Ozioma, Chinaka and the others are shocked and scared by his appearance. Tears almost flow out from Ozioma's eyes but she somehow holds strong.
"You will not have my baby!! Never!!!" She replies.
"The likes of you will be destroyed by the likes of her when she comes of age," she adds.
"Hahaha!!!" Ikeoku laughs out loud.
Meanwhile, Nnanna who is in the air a mile away, locates Ikeoku. He raises his right hand and immediately conjures a long spear in the form of lightning which he launches with a powerful force at Ikeoku. The spear is so fast and moves with so much force but Ikeoku senses it. Quickly he turns and blows into the air, creating a powerful yellow beam which clashed with Nnanna's lightning spear attack causing a powerful boom with thunderous crackling sound in mid-air. The impact creates a powerful wind like that of a mighty storm. Chinaka holds the baby Ifunanya tightly, as they manage to survive.

Nnanna is quick to arrive at the location after the subsiding of the powerful impact.
Ikeoku chuckles and says,
"Do you really wish to fight me, Obidiegwu? You know after absorbing other crests of Anyanwu that have appeared after me, I am now far more powerful than you are. If I were to get serious this fight will surely end in your demise."
"Is that so?" A voice asks, as a sword spins in the air and drops at Ikeoku's front instantly. Ikeoku immediately moves back upon seeing this.
"Then how about facing us all," the voice adds as a huge muscular man, wearing might arm guards and boots, dressed in black jeans, an ash sleeveless top and a gold neckchain which shone brightly in the night. He has beards, lots of it and a mini afro with fierce looking eyes.
"Akadike!!!" Ikeoku says facing him.
"He's not alone. Seems your power is getting to your head," a woman, appearing out of the darkness of the night, with quite a chubby and thick build, average height with glowing red eyes and a beautiful face, says. She is putting a traditional attire of a big blouse and a wrapper. She also has a dark purple scarf on her neck.
"Old man, you're getting rusty," another voice adds, referring to Nnanna. It is a young man. His hair has the shape of a scattered afro in the form of lightning and his body has lightning sparks all over it. He was wearing a soft long jacket, black in color, with a blue shirt on the inside, a pair of black trousers and boots.
"Hahaha!!!' Ikeoku laughs.
"So the crest of Ikenga, Akadike, strongest man in strength, the crest of Ala, Adaora, strong-willed and powerful, the crest of Amadioha, Chisom, the genius even among the crests and Nnanna, one of the most powerful warrior in the Eastern region want to team up against me Ikeoku Arinze, crest of Anyanwu for over two centuries," he says.
"Interesting, very interesting."
"Let's see if I cannot defeat all of you here and now. I will take you all on and that child's crest shall be mine!!!" He adds in a loud voice. The whole area and the surrounding goes up in flames.
"Calm your nerves down, old man," a subtle voice says. On a roof of a small building nearby is a lady dressed in blue native Ankara gown with a big black scarf tied round her waist and Ankara designed flats on her feet. She has sparkling but fierce blue eyes, a fair skin and blonde hair mixed with brown strands. She has her arms folded looking from the top at Ikeoku.
"Queen!!!" Ikeoku says, with a now very serious look on his face.
"Crest of Idemili, Queen, you and I are alike. You are over how many years now? You also absorb the powers of other crests of Idemili and use it for your life force, phasic energy and vitality. So why are you here?" He inquires.
"Ikeoku, you're certainly right. Indeed at some point you aided me, however Nnanna is somewhat of a friend and I am here to render my assistance to him today as he once did for me," Queen replies.
"Now what will you do? Certainly going up against three crests is much even for you amped with your dark arts not to talk of going against four crests and a powerful warrior," she adds.
"Confident aren't you? Hahahaha!!!!" He laughs.
"Remember Queen, in this world only the strong survive. I will take my chances against you all," he replies.
"I see," she says. Water begins forming from thin air around her. The other crests and Nnanna are battle ready. They all gather in a circle round Ikeoku. Ozioma, Chinaka with the baby Ifunanya and the others are now a safe distance away but not too far from the battlefield.
"Then take no offence in my actions," she adds and is about to attack when they hear a voice.
"Wait!!!" A young girl appears beside Ikeoku.
"Helen what is it?" Ikeoku asks.
"Well, let's end the battle for now. You can still collect the powers from the child even when she has grown up. Though it may result in a big battle like the others so far still it will be more effective as the powers would have matured and evolved well. So why not let the powers grow also with the child and battle it with her instead. Hmmm??" Helen replies, with a grin on her face.
"I see. I have thought about that however...never mind. I will go with what you have said Helen," Ikeoku says.
"Let's go," He adds.
"Wait you think we'll let you go easily!!!" Akadike shouts and instantly moves to attack Ikeoku.
He swings his big sword to cut Ikeoku but Ikeoku and Helen vanish immediately before the attack can make a hit.
"Hooo? Helen's teleportation is fast as usual," Chisom comments.
"Well the battle is over, time to chill. All these racking and someone won't have time to chill," he adds with a yawn.
"Now some good old palm wine won't be bad for the night," Akadike says.
"Argh!! Men!!!" Adaora murmurs, lightly slamming her palm on her face.
"Can't you even console the man?" she adds.
"It's OK," Nnanna replies with a smile.
"Thank you all for coming," he adds.
"Well well. My part is finished," Queen speaks, from the roof top.
"We're even now Nnanna. I owe you nothing. Do not forget my kindness today," she says, with a giggle.
"See you all when I see you," she adds and leaves.
"The journey ahead is long and tough. Be prepared Ifunanya," Nnanna says to himself.
After all the happenings, what surprises Chinaka, is that the baby, Ifunanya, remained calm and quiet during all the ruckus.
However, aside from the partakers of the battle and the doctors, none knew of the event that occurred as to ordinary people, it was like a heavy wind blowing.
