《Starship Nyx》Chapter 29: Ghost Starship

I met Agoaha and Qegila. We spoke about the new political system. During three days, we helped the eiganphans to develop the political system. Their new political system was a constitutional monarchy because Nicwily, the leader of Zaoqy Clan still lived. Agoaha was the temporary political leader. The clans became happy.
Qegila asked about the game. Agoaha said that it would discontinue. I said that the time would heal. Agoaha and Qegila nodded. We hugged each other. Biywo asked if one of the warriors might tattoo me.
I would want to get the tattoo, but I told that I was not the hero due to the violation. Biywo explained it to the warriors. I knew that the warriors didn't accept my no. They still thought that I would get the tattoo. I got the tattoo on my right arm and it was a byoia. We got the metals from them and they thanked us for freeing Yoilamu.
We were aboard Nyx after a long time. I entered the bridge. The bridge team saw me and stood up quickly. I asked Malin about the status and it was very good. She asked where we should travel. The team waited for my order.
I had a scary question. Why were the bad vepoiws on our home planet? They spied maybe in our organization. We had SD or Security Division that could hinder the extreme espionage and the extreme terrorism. They obeyed directly under both of DIS and SIB. This agency wasn't stupid and blind.
I had a hard question. Would we continue to do the main mission or go back to the Earth? We were nine hundred light years away from the Solar System. I asked Gunnar and Andrés about next target. We trusted in them. They were the leading astronomers.
The astronomers didn't find any planets. It felt as if we would travel home. We decided to travel home. The bad vepoiws were still on the Earth, but we hoped that the SD hindered their espionage. I commanded the team to leave, instantly we left this system.
The moment was quiet, suddenly the radar officer warned us about the alien starship. I commanded the team to stay and they obeyed. The radar officer said that the alien starship didn't fire while the communications officer said that we didn't get a call from her either. I said to the communications officer to call her. He said then that she didn't reply. I didn't know if it was crazy.
"Yellow alarm!" I said. "We have to be careful!"
"Aye, aye, ma'am!" the bridge team said.
I asked about the size. The radar officer didn't know because the starship was still. He thought that it was a little hard to see her size. I wondered about a thing. Why was the starship still? We began to be worried for being hit.
"How long?" I asked.
"Fifty light hours, ma'am," the radar officer said.
I ordered the pilots to come closer to the target at thirty light hours. They obeyed willingly. The starship didn't fire. It was horribly strange that she didn't fire. I ordered the photographer to shoot her. He obeyed willingly.

I understood why the starship was still. Like I surmised, she was damaged! We were twenty lightyears away from the Solar System. How did we miss the starship before? It was a good question.
We never have seen the starship earlier because she was extremely unidentified to us humans. I called the friendly aliens and asked about the unidentified starship. They didn't recognize the starship either, but I noticed that Demala was quiet. The bridge team waited for my good order. I ordered the bridge team to come closer to the target at twenty light seconds. The alien crew was clearly dead, although we humans didn't swallow it.
I would leave the bridge. Maximilian said to me to wait. What was it this time? Maximilian was very quiet.
"Sing out, Maximilian!" I said.
"What if the starship is ghostly, ma'am?" Maximilian asked.
"What?"
"I know that it sounds childishly weird, but the starship has a ghostly living crew, ma'am."
We didn't understand what Maximilian meant. I asked him if he meant his analysis. He was quiet again. I stared at him.
"Yes, ma'am!" Maximilian said.
"Impossible!" one of the pilots said.
"My analysis never lies."
"It is bullshit! I still trust in my intuition, so it is a dangerous starship."
"No, the term intuition is not a scientific evidence."
The pilot and Maximilian fought like the boys, so I clapped hands. They were silent. I was very tired of the boy fight. The pilot's name was Garry von Yxkull. He was a German American. Maximilian and Garry didn't know each other.
"What the fuck is wrong of you? We are UERH members," I said. "You are adults, not kids longer! I hate the immaturity!"
"Sorry, ma'am!" Maximilian and Garry said.
"I don't say that you two are right. Maximilian's analysis never lies. Garry's intuition says that it is a dangerous starship. We riskily have to investigate her, in other words. Any complaints?"
Maximilian and Garry were silent again. I stood up from the chair.
"You will take over my command, Lieutenant Commander Malin," I said.
"Aye, aye, ma'am!" Malin said.
I was in my laboratory later. The photo of the ship showed up automatic. I turned it into a virtual picture. The starship was a big temple. I never have seen her before. She looked like a Greek temple.
Where did the starship come from? I had to investigate her. What happened to her? I contacted Sven Gustafsson. It was me who chose him. He was a Swedish doctor of cosmonautical archaeology and it meant study of ancient starship.
"What do you think, Sven?" I asked.
"I don't know, but it looks like a Greek temple," Sven said.
"Yes, I agree."
"May I follow you, Professor?"
"Yes, you may follow me, Sven."
Sven was a nerd. He was nervous before the women. I would make him to a man. Would I mess with him? Yes, I thought that it would be fun. I "forgot" to shut off the screen, immediately I turned around. Sven was very quiet.

I commanded XRN-1 to pick my armor. She obeyed directly under my command. I took off my coat and then I pulled down my pants. Sven wondered sure if I made it on my own strip for him. Sadly, it was time for him to shut down the screen.
I "thought" slowly about the screen, suddenly I turned to the screen. The screen was shutting down. I thought that it was very fun to tease the younger men. XRN-1 waited for my order. I commanded her to dress me up. She obeyed directly to dress me up. I picked the EB-TWY and the UP77, so both of them were full loading.
After a while, I went to the hangar instantly. Robert, Sven, Wu and Andrew waited and sat in the starfighter. I noticed that Sven was nervous. Demala, Zig and Bozai really wanted to follow us. I was very surprised to see them. Did their bosses know this?
"Do your bosses know this?" I asked.
"No, Iduao trusts in me," Demala said.
"If you say so, but it is your..."
"...responsibility. I know Iduao. He is my childhood friend, so he doesn't give a mion. I also am his second-in-command."
"Okay! Demala, I noticed that you were quiet when you looked at the screen. What was it troubling you?"
"Do you remember what we discussed about in the conference? It is the temple from my planet, but I don't know if it is the same temple. That's why I wanted to follow you."
I looked at Bozai and Zig.
"Yes, Jenca knows," Bozai said.
"Yes, ma'am," Zig said. "By the way, my boss thanked you for all. I don't know what she meant."
"I will speak with her. You two know hopefully what you're doing," I said. "Come now."
We flew fast from Nyx to the alien starship later. The alien starship was big, though she was less than Nyx. She looked like a Greek temple in the picture. We flew around her while Andrew scanned her. He found a hole. Strangely, the hole didn't exist in my virtual picture.
I asked the alien archaeologists and my human colleagues if they have seen the hole. They never have seen the hole earlier. Demala thought that she felt it, so she said that the starship welcomed us. I asked about her knowledge. She repeated that she felt it.
"Do we dare to fly in, Andrew?" I asked.
"No... Um, I don't know," Andrew said. "Why did you ask me, Mara? You are a pilot."
"Forget it!"
I had to calculate. The hole was little. Our starfighter also was little. The problem was only about our engine, however. I understood that it was too risky to lose the oxygen. Would I really dare to fly in?
The question was how to fly in the hole. It would be eighty percent risky. We had twenty percent to be alive. I would dare fly in the hole.
"Fine, are you ready?" I asked.
"For what?" Demala asked.
"Nothing!"
"Nothing?"
We flew abruptly in the hole. The alien archaeologists screamed. My human colleagues didn't do it because they were used to my flying way. We were alive. I asked my colleagues if they were okay. They said yes.
I looked quickly at the alien archaeologists, but they didn't seem okay. They didn't think that it was very fun. Why did poor alien archaeologists want to follow us? I shook the head. We were abroad the alien starship. The computer showed that there weren't any signs of living beings abroad the starship.
I asked if we were really ready. My colleagues and the archaeologists nodded. The door opened automatically and then we left the starfighter. It was persuasively dark. We wore the helmets. They had a lamp. The two people would share the ways.
I chose Sven and it was time to go. The darkness worried for me. I was not afraid of the darkness. It felt more as if someone haunted us, however. I saw something that blinked green. What the fuck was that?
We flew there. It was a blinking and green lamp. I thought that it was strange to see that the lamp worked. There was a broken door. We pushed on the door carefully and the door flew away. The deck was extremely empty when we entered.
We investigated the deck. The extra door closed unforeseeably. We fell instantly on the deck. The vacuum was gone, so we stood up. Where the hell did the extra door come from? We were lucky to have the radio in our helmets.
Andrew asked if we were okay. We said yes. I told the team about the trap and they said the same things. We were very soft. What the hell was the starship for something? The crew was possibly dead. We investigated the deck again.
The deck was big. I found mass weapon. It looked like a weapon collection. There were not other artifacts. We didn't understand why the starship was empty. It seemed as if we weren't alone.
It seemed that both of Maximilian and Garry were right. We found the same lamp that blinked green. Why did it blink? How many times did it blink? I asked Demala if she remembered some strange artifacts or symbols on her home planet. The moment was deadly silent.
We waited for Demala. I checked if Sven was okay. He was worried about the death. Typical Scandinavians were always worried. I knew that Sven wasn't a soldier. He also knew that we were in the space.
Demala said worryingly that she remembered the unfamiliar artifact, but she never thought of the unfamiliar artifact. It was an unfamiliar fire torch. I asked about the unfamiliarity. Demala thought that she had seen the fire earlier. It looked like a weird fire. I asked about the fire.
Demala tried to remember the fire. She cursed in her language, suddenly she warned about the light.

Iferes: Slaves Of The Gods
Iferes are creatures that roam the world. They are everywhere, and anywhere. From the deepest seas, to the highest mountains. From the heart of volcanos, to the never melting glaciers. Some are weak, some are strong. Some are calm, some are bloodthirsty. What they all have in common, is that they fight for survival. For hundreds of thousands of eras, humans and Iferes lived in a world of war and blood. Ifere against Ifere, Ifere against humans, and humans against humans. But one day, in a very distant past, the twelve Mystic Iferes, and the twelve greatest kings of humanity, joined hands to end that cruel era. Together, they created a contract. A contract that, once made, would bound the two parties, and could only be broken in death. Millions of years went by, and that period of war faded in legends. And a child was born, a child that would change everything. For bad or worse, only time would say. ----------------------------- Hello, everyone! Just a few warnings before you read the novel, so you won't be disappointed. First of all, as you can probably tell, I took more than a few ideas from pokemon and the like. It's almost impossible to write a novel where creatures (Iferes) have a major part in, and not relate it to pokemon. However, as you will see as the novel goes on, I tried (and I think I succeeded) in making a universe of my own. I am sure you will like it. Secondly, compared to pokemon, my novel is a lot darker, as you probably noticed by the synopsis. I also try to give a wild west vibe to it, if you know what I mean. Thirdly, you should check out my fanfic Broke: A Clone Wars Tale. Biased as I am towards it, I think it's a great story, and so do many of my readers. It will also give you a glance at what writing style to expect. Fourth and last, I feel like it's only fair that I tell you I am a student. As much as I love writing, my main priority will always be my studies. After all, writing is just a hobby for me, at least for now (fingers crossed). As such, there probably will be interruptions in the release schedule here and there, but, if you followed me on my other novel, you will know I rarely missed an upload, and, when I did, I always made up for it. So, with all that said, I hope you can give the novel a try, and leave a review. If you are a new reader, I hope we can have a lot of fun along the way. If you read Broke, then we already made a journey together, and I hope you will follow me on a new one. Also, you should check out my patreon, there you can get chapters in advance (although they will all be published normally after a while), and a few other benefits. I appreciate every bit of support you can give me! patreon.com/reis123 PS: there will be romance, but no harem or reincarnation. The MC is just someone who was born and raised on this world.
