《Starship Nyx》Chapter 12: New weapons

I never have seen the same thing before. What a powerful energy blade I got! It was very dangerous to wield it. I asked my computer about my acceleration. It was sixty meters per second! What would I do?
I would test two ancient sword styles from China and Japan. The styles would become an extremely insensitive combination to wield. I spun my EB-TWY three times fast, instantly I struck forward. It was a rare style like I had. Oh hell, it worked brilliant! I realized that I used my intelligence due to my style.
It was a strange balance. A water and a fire was in a combination because the water extinguished the fire while the fire boiled the water. I developed my own sword style. It was warm here. I turned off my EB-TWY. Would I test my fight style?
I removed my uniform, but I kept my underdress. There was a dummy. I would test to kick the dummy later. There were mass tests. Would I name the new style? The new style named for Sei Mo Dou or Way of Dead Demon in Cantonese.
I went to the motion capture rig and stood. The computer scanned my body and my head. It confirmed fast that my motion capture moved to the holographic tablet. I went to the holographic tablet from the motion capture. My holographic body was beautiful. I focused to draw a heavy armor.
The armor would have a stripe. I drew slowly a pair of holsters, a pair of boots and a pair of gloves. They would be light. I drew a helmet, so I added a security glass in font of my holographic face. The armor, the gloves, the boots, the holsters and the helmet would be black while the stripe would be midnight blue. Even the mircochip would be in the helmet.
XRN-1 waited for my order. I commanded her to pick up the metals from the four planets. She obeyed me. My manufacturing machine began to make the boots, the gloves, the holsters, the armor and the helmet. The computer confirmed that they would be done fast. I would become very happy to get them.
There was a little accelerator. I would make a new and mysterious matter. The accelerator began to work on the matter. After a long while, the computer confirmed that the four matters broke against each other. It was very dark. I would find the special matter. There were two matters, instantly I managed to capture them.
The matters were jet black. Yes, my grandfather would have become very proud of me like his granddaughter. The engineers and the physicists never have found an extreme rare matter. I made the matters into the new plasma. My new weapon would get them. I didn't have decided about the weapon.
Somebody belled. I put my uniform on myself. Why did everybody interrupt me instantly? I looked at the screen and it was Ava. What did she want this time? I went quickly to the door and called after it.
"I apologize for Sergeant Henry, so I newly heard from his buddy that he went to you. He didn't know that the Ground Forces was my responsibility, not yours. I scolded him," Ava said.

"It is good that you scolded him, but you are wrong. You would listen. The astronomer followed him," I said.
"Herregud! He tried to explain about the astronomer. I didn't have time to listen to him. Would I apologize?"
"No, you won't apologize. Sergeant Henry stared at my half-nude body."
Somebody screamed suddenly from the wardroom. Why did somebody scream? We ran just there. The door opened automatic. We were not surprised that the famous troublemakers fought over the strange things. They were Private Alexandre Boivin of Ground Forces and Astroarean Bo Bertsson of Star Fleet.
The two troublemakers grew up together like the rivals with the military parents. Their parents knew each other since the childhood, even they knew about the secret. Bo was a Swede. His father was on active duty in Ground Forces. Alexandre was a French. His mother also was on active duty in Star Fleet.
Alexandre and Bo kept to fight. What did they fight about? The crew members stood and stared at them. Why didn't the idiots stop the troublemakers? We screamed at Alexandre and Bo to stop, abruptly they stood still. They looked extremely angry.
"What the heck is it now?" I asked.
Alexandre and Bo didn't say something. I looked at Ava. She nodded as if I would control the troublemakers.
"ANSWER!" I said.
The troublemakers were deadly quiet.
"We don't eat your 'silence'. Come on!" I said.
"You won't go anywhere before you will tell the truth," Ava said.
The troublemakers still were deadly quiet. Were they interested in us? Ava whispered in my ear that they were rarely shy and I nodded.
"Are you interested in us?" I wondered.
"Oh, because you fought about us?" Ava asked.
"It were him who began to talk nonsense about the Ground Forces, Colonelle Ava!" Alexandre said.
"Ma'am, it was him who began to talk nonsense about the Star Fleet!" Bo said.
The two young women went immediately to us. We became surprised that they came. They were Private Barbara York of Ground Forces and Astroarean Christina Johannessen of Star Fleet. Their background was great. They had great grades in high school. Their level in martial art was middle.
The women grew up with their military parents like the troublemakers, not together. Their parents didn't know each other either, but they knew about the secret too. Christina was a Norwegian. Her mother was on active duty in Ground Forces. Barbara was an American. Her father was on active duty in Star Fleet.
"They lied, ma'am! Astroarean Alexandre wished to see the nude girls," Christina said.
"It is true, ma'am! Even Private Bo wanted to talk about sex with the girls! The guys began to fight," Barbara said.
We were not used to the lies! The liars rolled their nervous eyes as if they couldn't hide something from us. I wondered if Christina and Barbara would become responsible for the immature men.
"You are responsible for these immature and lazy men, Private Christina and Astroarean Barbara!" I said.
"Do like the women say, Private Bo and Astroarean Alexandre!" Ava said.
"We hate the immature people!"

Christina and Barbara became stunned to hear that Ava said it to the men while everybody became very shocked. Alexandre and Bo almost opened the mouth. They knew that the protest wouldn't help us.
"Private Christina and Astroarean Barbara, report to us if these men wouldn't obey you," I said.
"May we follow the men to the head, ma'am?" Barbara asked.
"If the male superiors are in, then you have our permit."
The crew stared at us. Christina and Barbara commanded Alexandre and Bo to follow them. They left the wardroom instantly. We looked around. The food were everywhere in the wardroom in our first and new ship. We also hated the lazy people.
"Clean the wardroom now, you sluggards! You couldn't stop them!" I said.
"Do we have to command you every time? Do like she says, you lazybones!" Ava said.
The crew were close to protest. They also knew about it, quickly they cleaned the wardroom. Why didn't they clean the wardroom? We kept the eyes of the idiots. The lazy crew cleaned the wardroom until they would be finished. They understood that the old food could smell bad.
We went to Christina's compartment later. I belled and the door opened automatic. We came in when the door closed. The compartment was big, not like my cabin. Christina and Barbara made a good job because the young men didn't fight about mass boring things. They played a fun game and Barbara said that they played the cards.
I was in my laboratory after three hours. The computer confirmed instantly that the armor, the holsters, the boots and the helmet were one hundred percent of complete. I ordered XRN-1 to move them to the faceting machine. The faceting machine sawed and polished them until they were polished. I ordered XRN-1 again to move them to the coloring machine. The machine began to color them.
I looked at my new armor and the color was very dark. The helmet were very cool. I loved my effective armor. Did I miss something? Oh right, I forgot the USB flash drive! I set it in my computer, immediately the holographic image showed.
There were many known matters. They hid something which flashed. I cleaned almost all matters. There was an unidentified matter. It had to be the mind shield. The unidentified matter was extremely lovely.
It looked like two red X with a white square. I caught the matter in the file and then I moved it cautiously in the empty file. What if I would add more? How many X would I add? I tested to add six X. It worked!
The mind shield would be accordingly a mind immunity! I would ask Jynaxos about some clothes. Oh, I tested to wear the armor. XRN-1 asked me if I needed the help and I said yes. I had the full armor later. The armor didn't seem too heavy to me.
I asked the computer about the weight. The computer confirmed that the armor weighted for over eighty kg or over one hundred seventy lbs. I weighted for around fifty kg or around one hundred twenty lbs. It was incredibly! The computer confirmed that the metal from Jaioo "forced" the armor to become lighter than my weight. There was a mirror.
I went to my mirror. The armor was extremely beautiful and I liked the black armor. Unlike the other girls, I was not into the shoes, but the boots were nice! The gloves also were cool! I ordered XRN-1 to remove my armor.
My armor was both mild and easy to enforce. Did I miss more something? There were five last metals from four planets. I went to the holographic tablet and then I would make a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle would be jet black. It looked like an old Accuracy International AXMC, though it would be longer.
The battery would become the same like the EB-TYW's. It would have a reloading battery because it would skip the new batteries every time. The sniper rifle would have a digital x-ray scope. It was called Decapitate Sniper Rifle or DSR. DSR would become the most effective weapon. I would become happy if I would test it.
XRN-1 waited for my order. I commanded her to pick up the metals. She obeyed me. The manufacturing machine began to make the sniper rifle. I asked the computer about the time. It confirmed that the sniper rifle would be done in twenty-four hours.
I went to the hangar later. Andrew and his team built a new starfighter with Hozeiau and Iduao. I asked them about the starfighter. Hozeiau said that it was yours. I became happy to hear. The starfighter was not ready.
Andrew and his team kept to build the starfighter. I went around the starfighter. The starfighter had a different design because it was tailless and had a pair of thin wings. I never have seen the design before. Why did Hozeiau designate them? I had to ask.
"Why are the wings thin, Hozeiau?" I asked.
"It is my idea. They can slash the metals," Iduao said.
"Tailless?"
"This starfighter can become faster without a tail. You have a strong technology. We avianos become jealous," Hozeiau said.
I asked about the weapon. Andrew told that the starfighter would have two weapons. The first weapon was an electric gun. It seemed nonlethal, so it could break the enemy's computer. The second weapon was an anti-electric shield. I asked the men if they would make a plasma machine gun.
Hozeiau asked about the reason. I replied that the plasma machine gun was cool because it would hit the astroids. The men would make a plasma machine gun. I became very happy. Somebody didn't mess with me. I asked about the model and if the starfighter would be ready to fly.
This starfighter model called for UICS or Ultimate Intelligent Combat Starfighter. Andrew said that it was almost complete, but the jet engine and the computer was not ready. Sophia interrupted us and said that she added a canopy that was a security glass. We forgot totally her. Hozeiau asked me about my mind. I liked the starfighter.

Gaia Ark
Commander Coop, a four-armed, power-armored, super-soldier, undertakes a mission to assassinate the head of a religious cult bent on destroying the UPSF and everyone they protect. But no mission is ever that simple. GAIA ARK is an action adventure hero's journey featuring a cranky cyborg, vampiric sword, alien monsters, and enough self-discovery to provide a character arc. It's a little rough around the edges, a little crude. I started writing this story on November 2, 2018. This story is mid-composition. Please expect clunky prose, notes [in brackets], and incomplete...

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
