《Starship Nyx》Chapter 3: Energy Blade

I noticed that Neqeun was very quiet. We would leave the museum. I asked the employees if they would be busy. The employees were free.
"Yes, I am busy because I try to research the strange artifact," Neqeun said.
"May I help you?" I asked.
"Yes, please! You are incredibly good, Mara."
"Thanks!"
XRN-1 stopped me. I totally forgot her. The robots also had willing.
"Will I follow you, Captain Mara?" XRN-1 wondered.
"Sorry, I forgot you. No, you can be free, don't mess with the numanicans," I said.
We went on different ways. Neqeun and me went to the secret room. There was just a hilt and it missed a blade. I saw that it had a broken button. Neqeun explained that it was found in the fallen religious building place. The artifact was very strange to the barbaric numanicans.
"Can you tell about the numanican god or creator?" I asked.
"It told only that Eiugi created the water world. The unbelieving numanicans claimed that we always lived underwater. I don't know if the Creator exists," Neqeun said.
"Same here. The religious humans said that the God created us, but the unbelieving humans claimed that we originated from the monkeys or the animals. There still are not any evidences. I don't know either if the God exists."
We focused on the artifact and I asked to Neqeun if I might scan the artifact. She said yes. I scanned the artifact and the computer showed that it could use with an energy. Impossibly! It was an energy blade! I guessed that it could kill the beings instantly and cut all beams.
Neqeun interrupted my mind and I asked if she knew what it was. She didn't know about the energy. I explained to her about the energy. She became impressed to hear about my discipline. The computer found that the hilt missed to have something. I guessed that it had to have a gemstone.
"Do you have any gemstones?" I asked.
"Yes, my maternal grandfather's or now my collection has mass gemstones. Why?" Neqeun asked.
"The hilt missed to have something because it has to have a gemstone. I can construct possibly an energy blade. What did your grandfather do?"
"He was an eiugologist and a mineralogist, but he deceased for one year later."
"I am sorry to hear. An eiugologist? From the name Eiugi, numanican creator? Is it about soil?"
Neqeun confirmed and asked why. I told everything to her about the mythology from my planet. She became impressed again. My computer had the sketch of energy blade.
"Come, my house is closer," Neqeun said.
"Lead me to your," I said.
I followed Neqeun to the big house and entered. She excused the mess, but her grandfather disliked to clear. We went to the room and there was a collection of many different gemstones. The gemstones were in the boxes. Some gemstones were raw and some were refined. I asked Neqeun about her grandfather.
Neqeun's grandfather became mad about the gemstones when he was a little boy. His parents forbade him to collect them, though he collected them. He still collected them until he died. Neqeun understood his mind, not the family. Anybody didn't come to his funeral without Neqeun and her mother because the family hated him. It was tragic.
Neqeun promised her grandfather to keep the house. She still kept the house. Yes, she chose to be an archaeologist like her mother and a mineralogist like her grandfather. It was extra thrilling to see both gemstones and artifacts.

"Will your grandfather's house become a museum?" I asked.
"I just began to think, but the young generation thinks that it is for elders," Neqeun said.
"Teenagers! Don't care about them. It is time that the small kids begin to be curious like your grandfather. I promise you."
"Yes, you have a point."
"Oh, yeah! May I look around?"
"You may pick the gemstone for free if you like it."
I began to look for the gemstones until I found a raw gemstone. The raw gemstone was different from the other gemstones. I never have seen it before. It looked like a pink diamond, thought it didn't blink. I asked to Neqeun about it. She replied that it was a very unfamiliar gemstone, so she newly found it in the unused place.
The gemstone was called for wengoxite after Neqeun's family name. Neqeun warned that there was just one wengoxite. She asked to me if I wanted to have the wengoxite. I said yes. It was only us who knew about the gemstone. Neqeun picked up the wengoxite from the box and then I got it.
The wengoxite was easy like a paper. I scanned it. The computer confirmed that it matched the energy blade. We left the house instantly. I was very happy to meet Neqeun. She asked to me about the human food.
"We are very different," I said.
"What do you mean?" Neqeun wondered.
"We like different things. What do you dislike?"
"Wine!"
"I like alcohol!"
"Oh, I understand what you mean by different."
Yes, I met my team later. I asked to them about the new things. They learned new things. The numanicans never heard about the revolutionary machines or the computers. There were many wheels on this planet and it was good. The numanicans sought for more and it was about the space.
To travel to the space was too risky to the numanicans because they didn't have any knowledge about the space. It wouldn't work without the computers either. Hana got an idea and we liked it. We taught the numanicans in the sports and they were fast to learn. They liked to play both bandy and soccer. We couldn't stay here due to our ship.
Hana studied about the new medicines. Ava studied about the new viruses. Clark studied about the politics of Bomdido because he was a political scientist. Adolfo studied about the military history of Bomdido. Andrew studied about the engineering. Sophia studied about the optomechanics.
The good news was that the numanicans didn't have any weak immune system longer time. Their researchers didn't understand why they had it. One of them found the problem quickly. It was about blood in the numanicans' body due to tiredness. The researchers were impressed about their colleague. It was good to hear that the numanicans didn't have any problems.
It felt as if we humans missed somebody. Yeah, who was the green numanican like we met earlier? We were close to ask about him, but he just came to us. He began to present himself. His name was Motu. He was Nyrun's eldest son, the crown prince of Navsutu.
We became surprised of Motu's presentation. The royal guards told to us to knee, suddenly their prince turned to them. He said to them to shut up. Yes, the royal guards were quiet like a mouse. Motu thought that we forgot him. He apologized for his disappearance and we humans apologized for our forgetfulness.
We were in the conference room later. The royal kids talked with our team in the other room. We had an extremely long discussion about the technology and the law with Motu and his father. Motu sat between me and Ava. We were finished with our discussion. Nyrun promised to leave the device back.

Motu didn't seem to be used to us women. We noticed that he had an erection. The king wondered if his son was okay and Motu said that he was okay. I blinked at Ava and she smiled as if she wanted to help him. We had an idea. I asked to Motu if he would want to lead us to the toilet and he said yes.
Hana and Andrew knew what we would do and shook the head slowly. We knew what they thought about us. They thought that we were the crazy bitches. Motu was unaware that we human women made him horny. We left the room. Hana and Andrew asked Nyrun about the life because they had to keep him to not wonder about his son.
The unaware prince guided us to the toilet fast. He was extremely nervous. We women were used to the nervous and shy types. Ava had a long blonde hair and her bra size was 36D. We went in, then we looked around. The toilet was big and we took Motu in.
"What are you doing, Captain Mara?" Motu wondered.
"Do you know something about sex, Your Highness?" I asked back.
"No!"
I asked about Motu's age and he was thirty years. We learned by Clark about the age of consent. The numanicans had to turn thirty years. Their age was like eighteen years from our planet. I explained about sex to Motu. He was shocked to hear.
I noticed that Motu would go, so I hindered him. We women stripped off. Ava had a tattoo on the left breast and it was a badge from Zero. She stripped the prince's pants slowly. The numanicans were different from the humans because they had muscular legs like the lion legs. Motu's dick was big!
Ava sat on her knees on the floor and boobfucked the dick while I kissed Motu to block the moan. His body was stick. It meant that he would come soon. I still kissed him. He ejaculated on my and Ava's body. What a big load he got!
"Was it good, Your Highness?" I asked.
"Yes, Captain Mara," Motu said.
We were at the starfighter later. Yes, we would return to the starship. Our crew waited for us. The materiel from Bomdido were here. We would build the weapon in our ship. The crown prince stood and his siblings waved.
"Thank you for inviting, Your Highness!" I said.
"And thank you for sharing our culture, Captain Mara! Come back, if you will live," Motu said.
We were close to enter, but two male numanican soldiers ran fast. One of them asked if he and his four travel friends might follow us. We looked at each other. My team shrugged. It meant that we took the numanicans. I had any questions.
"Your name and rank?" I asked.
"My name is Mezo Arojy. This is Zig Winq. We are Sergeants, ma'am!" the soldier said.
"Your friends?"
"They are ladies."
The soldiers' friends came to us and apologized for their delay due to the chemicals. I recognized one of them and it was Jynaxos. The friends presented themselves. One of them was a chemist while the other was a physician. The female chemist's name was Joverisc Amaxy and the female physician's name was Jafiro Xaqe. I asked about their discipline.
Jafiro was interested in hematology and she was one of the researchers who found the problem about the weak immune system. Joverisc was interested in hydrochemistry because the water was the best. We became surprised to hear for the first time. Yes, I had to ask.
"Can the numanicans drink water in the ocean?" I asked.
"Yes, we can drink clean water. The oceanic water is like oxygen and we can breath in a fresh air, you notice," Joverisc said.
I asked the numanicans about their reason in space. Joverisc was interested in water on the other planets. Mezo was interested in the space and always wondered if they were alone. Zig was special interested in Bronze Age, so he was an indigenous archaeologist. Jafiro was very interested in strange blood. Jynaxos was interested in the old clothes because she was was a textile archaeologist.
"Yes, we accept you. Have you spoken with your kin?" I asked.
"I am an orphan," Jynaxos said.
The numanicans' kin let them to go. Mezo became quiet and it meant that he never spoke with his kin. Ava whispered in my ear that Mezo reminded her young father. I understood what she meant.
"Go to your kin, so they want to know. It is an order," Ava said.
"No, ma'am!" Mezo said.
"Is it about your hated parents? The parents don't let their kids to go. I don't know how many siblings you have. You are your parents' kid and they are your parents. Go now! We wait for you."
Mezo ran away. I asked to Zig about his friend's background. Mezo's parents grew up in the farm and there were forty generations by the father's side. They had only a kid like him. Mezo couldn't stay in the farm. He wanted to be a soldier, but his parents became shocked to hear.
"Poor thing!" I said.
"Yes, it is true," Jynaxos said.
"Can you be responsible for your friends?"
"What? They are not my real friends. Yes, I can be responsible for them, Captain Mara."
We waited for Mezo and he was here. Zig asked to his friend if everything was good. Mezo told his parents about us and the space. They were very proud of him and said that he would be careful. I warned the numanicans about the space. They were ready.
We flew from the oceanic planet to the Nyx. I warned the numanicans that it was tough to be in the starship. The crew in the hangar waited for us when I said to the numanicans to wait here. We humans came out first. I called after the crew in the starship. Everyone stood in the hangar and we told everything to them.
The numanicans came out. I explained that Jynaxos was responsible for them. The men fell immediately for them and had many questions. I called the crew back to the job. We noticed that Mezo was ill due to this ship. Hana leaded the numanicans to the sick bay.
We had many material from both Earth and Bomdido. I asked XRN-1 to take the material to my laboratory. She nodded slowly. I went to the bridge. We found the other system. The bridge team asked me if we were ready to fly and I said yes.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
