《VOID REQUIEM》Chapter 6: The Cosmic Emperor(Part 1)

Solaris slowly finished his drink as the explosion bursted out in the middle of his solitude. Chaos spread as military officials charged in the city. The outlaws there weren’t about to go down without a fight. They charged back at them with full force. In a short period of time, the whole place turned into a war zone.
“Sir, the galactic government has infiltrated the base? What do we do?”
Me2 asked Solaris. Solaris put his glasses down and gave a sigh.
“Well, this was about to happen, eventually. Everyone for themselves now. Try to find a way out of this planet and thank you for your service all these years. Relay my message to all the instructors”
“Sir… Alright sir, I will relay the message”
The guards were behind him, as one of them was panicking.
“Sir, we have to get out of here.”
One of them said. Solaris noticed the guards' panic. He said with a sigh,
“You leave. Me and Mike have a little chat to do”
“But sir?!”
“Do as I command. There are some escape pods on the lower deck. Get on with your life”
The guard felt and had a commitment to protect his master's life, but more so was following his command. He took a stand with his head held high and responded,
“As you command, sir.”
The guard, known as Mike, stood still as the other guard went away. He asked,
“Sir, why are you still keeping me here?”
“You know, Mike, it’s a hilarious story.”
He pulled out another champagne bottle; the bottle reflecting Mike on its exterior,
“I never appointed a guard by the name of Mike. And I always… always remember the people I keep close… So… what are doing here Yagami?”
Mike’s panicked voice faded away instantly. He pulled his mask out. A Blue hair, human-like face, eyes the color of green leaves and ears that looked like elves..

“So you realized it was me”
“You know your acting isn’t all that convincing”
Solaris said, while pouring out more wine in his glass.
“Then this will be easier for me” Red flames began emitting from Yagami’s left hand.
“So the government finally took action against me? Well, I guess better late than never”
“You are not gonna try to run?”
“What’s the point of running? I have already accomplished all I need to. It’s now time to sit back and see the saplings grow and make their own choices”
“You know every life you involve in this program is going to be exterminated with high prejudices. What is the point of all of this!?”
Solaris took one last sip and replied,
“Will, the driving force of life. A life without a strong Will is a life not worth living. I’ve spent all my existence researching this, yet to no avail. Is it to follow the choices of destiny given to them by birth or to pave their own way of attaining their own goals? Well, who knows what the answer may be?”
He looked back at Yagami with a stern expression.
“Tell your so-called OverLord that the end times are coming. A new Cosmic Emperor will be born amongst these outlaws. And when he sits on his throne shall the world turn upside down as it will witness true freedom!”
Even hearing those lines, Yagami’s expression didn’t change. That sorrow and hurtful look in his eyes, as if he felt bad about doing all of this.
“Is that all you have to say before you die?”
“Oh, just one more thing. Say hello to Kyo for me when you meet him”
Yagami plunged his hand right through Solaris’s heart. As the hand went deeper, Yagami gave a hug to him as his eyes were closing off.

“Sleep peacefully, old man”
Back on the outskirts of the city,
All of them were ready to engage Axel in battle.
“You outlaw show such vigor. But can you actually handle true vigor?” Axel said while grinning confidently.
A circling frequency wave could be felt pulsing out of Axel’s forehead. Just being touched by it, all of them fell to the ground. They couldn’t stand.
“Is that…” (Sora)
“Force meto of the Oppressor!” (Ryu)
“I can’t move an inch of my body. His spiritual pressure is too strong”
dan uttered
“Whats the matter? Can’t even handle something like this? You outlaws are nothing but a joke”
Suddenly, a snowball hits his face.
“stop doing this Axel.”
Ken shouted at him.
All of them were confused to how Ken was still standing straight.
“Oy, why aren’t you kneeling?”
“Like hell I would kneel to an overstuff tall but obviously not too handsome guy like you. You don’t deserve to be a captain!”
“Captain?”, He bursted out laughing. “Like I give a shit about that!”
Ken threw another snowball at him, but this time, it melted before it reached Axel.
“I don’t care what you are. If you can’ show the vigor needed to be captain, then I won't let you have it,” Ken shouted.
“Is this guy an idiot?”
Axel thought to himself. Ken dashed towards him with his body, not thinking of a plan or anything. All the others couldn't even move their body, yet Ken somehow could move easily. But unfortunately he lacked in all categories. Axel jabbed him in his spine, making him fall into the snow below. He then grabbed him by the head, looking at his face with a malicious smile as he pulled him up..
“You know, out of all these scums, you’re really intriguing, Ken. Not only are you a rare specimen known as human, you are also one who has no meto at all.”
“Shut… up!”
Ken kept on hitting Axel with his fists, but they weren't even making him as so much as flinch. Ken’s body was flailing in the icy wind. Axel was much taller than he was. He was basically choking ken by slowly hanging him helplessly. But it all ended rather quickly. Blood dripped on the ground below as Axel plunged his hand into Ken’s gut. Ken’s flailing immediately stopped, as couldn't even think anymore. His whole body became numb as Axel threw it to the side like an empty corpse.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
