《A God's Freedom》How to live in a world of gods

Saji opened her eyes and looked at the white ceiling above her. Her mind was a mess, thoughts appeared and disappeared, emotions exploded and faded and questions turned up only to become insignificant. Her live had become a mess so it wasn’t surprising that her mind was the same way. She took her time to calm her mind and organize her thoughts.
This was how it was.
Things had happened.
Shit had happened.
And what happened has already happened.
She closed her eyes. There was no need to cry over spilled beans. It wouldn’t change anything.
She rose up from her bed and looked around. It was the room she had chosen as her own. Through the window she could see the lush forest right in front of the house. Rays of sunlight shone through the thick foliage and into her room.
With difficulties she convinced her own body to get out of the bed and walk towards the mirror that was attached to the large wardrobe on the wall. She looked at herself in the mirror and realized that her clothes were a complete mess. Her top was full of stains, her pants was ripped at multiple places.
She took a look around the room. There wasn’t really something she could wear instead.
“Look into the wardrobe!”, suddenly a female voice came from behind her.
Kelin stood behind her, a friendly smile on her lips. This time she wore more proper clothing in form of a short white dress with brown embroideries.
Saji wasn’t even surprised to see her appearing right behind her. She turned around and made a small bow.
“Lady Kelin, my name is Saji. It’s an honor to be in your presence.”, she was very polite after all the other party was a goddess.
Kelin shook her head, “You don’t have to be polite! After all you belong to Ji.”, she nodded towards the wardrobe. “Look inside!”
Saji hesitated. She vividly remembered the kind of clothing Kelin had worn the day before. But it would be rude to not open it and she really needed new clothes. She opened the wardrobe and looked inside.

Inside was a single knitted sweater. It was a light grey and certainly looked good, but it was only a sweater without any type of pants or skirt.
Saji turned towards Kelin with a questioning look in her eyes.
Kelin explained. “Do you know why I humiliated myself and wore that kind of embarrassing clothing to welcome that old grandpa Ji?”, she suddenly grinned. “You didn’t think this was my hobby, did you?”
Saji felt awkward and didn’t know how to react.
Kelin laughed at her reaction. “Let me tell you, most of the weaker goddesses spend their entire time either naked or wearing this type of clothing and believe me it’s certainly not because they like it.”, Kelin shook her head. “It’s because this is how a female lives in the world of gods.
There is always someone stronger then you, there is a 50 percent chance it is a male. Wearing nothing does not only please him, it also makes it more probable that he won’t go and kill you. Sure, it is humiliating, but in case you need to survive you can just make yourself a toy for him.
In our world those who are strong rule, while those who are weak have to find ways to survive. If you are a strong goddess you can live without this humiliation, but if you are weak you should do everything to get an advantage.”, she shrugged her shoulders.
“I am one of the stronger goddesses, but compared to Ji I’m just second class. So yeah, I wore those humiliating clothes to show my appreciation. Sure, it’s messed up, but this is the way our world works. You now live in this world and even if you have Ji’s protection it would be better if you know your way in this world.
Gods are lewd beings that love to enjoy themselves, so you need to learn how to entertain them without being nude the whole time.”, she looked at Saji waiting for her reaction.
Saji frowned as she realized what Kelin was really talking about. Her face turned red.

“So, you want to show me how to…”, her voice sounded unusually high.
Kelin found her reaction adorable. “Yes darling, I will show you how to properly dress in our world. So, get naked and try on that sweater!”
…
Rey felt like he had smoked to much weed and was in the midst of an especially strange hallucination. Walking in front of him was Ji who was whistling some unknown melodies. Around him were hordes of monkeys fearlessly rushing towards them. Beneath his shoes were the bloody remains of those who had already reached them.
Blood rained all around them without touching either of them and at the same time more and more monkeys were torn to shreds by an invisible sphere around them. As soon as the monkeys came close they were just turned into a bloody soup.
He could hear their scream as they were turned into bloody gore and the sound of this gore falling to the ground. His nose had already become numb to the shockingly strong smell of blood and after the first three times he did not feel the need to vomit anymore.
“Couldn’t we just teleport to that monkey god without doing this?”, he asked Ji, clear disgust in his voice.
“I need to punish him, so he has to get a fright first. If I just appear there and make him feel some pain, it wouldn’t be clear enough that he has done something really dump.”, Ji’s response came but it did not make Rey feel any better.
“Why do I even have to come with you? I don’t really see any use for me?”, Rey tried to give Ji a reason to bring him back to the town.
But his hoped were brutally destroyed. “I need someone to eat his ‘manhood’. There is nothing more humiliating for this kind of gods then to get their most precious body part eaten by an mortal.”, Ji grinned devilishly.
Rey turned pale and vomited again.
Ji laughed loudly. “Oh, trust me it’s delicious!”
Slowly the hordes of monkeys thinned out and there was less and less gore to walk upon. At the same time, they heard a furious yell. It was accompanied by massive booms and a terrifying presence that came towards them.
“Here he comes!”, Ji said relaxed, his smile devilish and bloodthirsty.
Rey on the other hand had trouble refraining from vomiting.
A small white body suddenly shot out and flashed towards them
“YOU WENT TO FAR!”, the livid voice shouted as a monkey pounced towards Ji and Rey.
“And you are still the same simpleton.”, Ji shook his hand and reached out with his hand. He pointed a finger at the incoming monkey.
“Sit.”
A terrifying pressure suddenly exploded from Ji’s body. Wind picked up and lifted his hair into the air. Stones were flung away, boulders cracked. Somehow Rey was not affected, but in turn the monkey was.
It also exploded with power, pressure pushed against pressure and the terrifying wind turned into a storm that raged around them. It was truly a fight between deities! Heaven and earth shook, the earth cracked, and the clouds were pierced.
Somehow Rey still wasn’t harmed.
It was obvious that Ji was stronger than the monkey. Slowly the monkey was pushed towards the ground. It struggled, veins popping all over it’s tiny body.
“Fuck you Ji!”, Suddenly it shot forwards, swinging its fist towards Ji. Ji formed a fist and similarly struck out. A boom resounded in the area and the ground cracked open.
“GET DOWN!”, Ji suddenly cried out and stomped onto the ground.
The cracks in the ground widened and within a moment a small canyon had formed. The monkey on the other hand seemed to have been hit by a truck. It fell to the ground, clearly in a miserable state. Its snow white fur was tainted rain and it’s limps were strange dislocated.
Ji walked towards it and stopped in front of it. He lifted his eyebrow.
“It’s smaller than I thought…”
Rey vomited again.
Ji laughed, somewhat apologetic. “It was just a joke thought…”
