《A new horizon》Aah s**t here we go again

Death.
Darkness had covered everything. Everything that a person can see was just a blank never ending void. And then there was light.
Or that's what the boy felt when he woke up with a start on the table where he was lying down. As his eyes opened he felt a burning like pain his head. As if his head was split open by someone.
Groggily he opened his eyes only to see another girl with her head on the table and white vomit all over it. Seeing this the boy got up from his chair and forced his mind to work.
The boy went straight to the girl to wake her up only to realize that the girl didn't respond and just felt right off the table only with a single jerk.
"What the..."
The boy was now panicking in his mind as the girl was dead and if anybody saw him now might accuse him of murder.
"Why am I panicking? I am supposed to be dead. Eh... What is this place..." the boy murmured as his suppressed headache came to assault him again.
He was actually dead or rather he was killed. How did that happen you ask? It could be said that he was in the wrong location at the wrong time.
He had never seen his father since he was born. His mother raised him as a single parent. And living in New York, that was a pretty tough job for a woman who had average skills. But still his mother brought him up with everything she could. Sending him to school and making sure that food was on the table.
Trevor had seen nothing but a mother who used to work hard all day so from childhood he understood the value of money. So, that's what his goal was all his life. Money.
And due to his sheer determination and hard work, and of course little bit of luck and being smarty pants, money wasn't a problem from after he graduated from a reputed university.

He was offered a good job and even managed himself to find a girlfriend whom he decided to marry when everything would be in place. Everything was going fine until a year ago when everything came crumbling down.
A year ago his mother mother passed away in an accident. That hit him hard and brought him to a dark place. All his life he wanted nothing but to provide a good place to live and retire for his mother. A place where they would have a big home where he could spend time with his mother.
And when he was able to provide all of this, God decided to play a joke with him. And if that wasn't enough, his girlfriend left him for someone richer and more established after 3 months of his mother's death. This was a back stab for him as he felt they were really in love for the past 3 years.
At the end the woman he loved turned out to be a gold digger.
All this led him into huge depression and even had thoughts of ending his life. But as they say, suicide is for pussies. But it seemed like God had other plans for him.
It was as if God literally came down and whispered in his ears
"Dude.. If you don't commit suicide how about I create a scenario for you."
And so on the machinations of God, it happened.
His death.
One night when he was going back to his home from his work. And in the chilly night at a deserted alley he was walking alone. There was nobody on the streets as it was late at night. And out of nowhere a person in huge hood over his head appeared from a small alley which was dark with a knife in his hands.
"Give me you wallet, phone and everything that you have in your pockets."

Trevor was stunned. All his life he had never been mugged or robbed. He had been poor all his life so the robbers never cared for him. Now that he had a good life for himself it seemed like his status has gone high up in their eyes.
Normally Trevor would be shaking in fear and give away his belongings without a second thought. But that night, he felt different. He felt angry. he felt as if the world was conspiring against him.
And so he just stood there and watched the guy waving his knife at him.
"C'mon give me your wallet!!" the man in the hood screamed. Something in Trevor broke at that point. He dashed at the man who was waving his knife with the intent to bring hims down while also avoiding the knife edge.
But well, it seemed like he was not much of an athlete. The knife he was trying to avoid went right through his chest, or rather his heart. The man didn't expect such boldness from Trevor so when he dashed he panicked and used his knife to defend himself.
In the end a small move of 'self defense' from the mugger proved to be fatal for Trevor as the medium sized knife ended his life there.
A rather simple confrontation for the protagonist instead of being all high and mighty by bringing down the mugger before his death!!!
And that was where his story should have ended.
Or so he thought.
When Trevor finally got his headache to cool down he saw the surroundings. The room looked extravagant with a beautiful bed and a warm fireplace nearby. There was beautiful shelf near his bed.
The windows indicated that it was a night time and the moon was easily visible.
But there was a huge difference in the room that the normal ones that he couldn't make head or tail of. The room looked like it belong to very ancient time. Like the ones before the Victorian Age. Every structure of the wall, the floors and even the fire place looked like it was ancient.
"What is this? Wait why my body looks so young?" Trevor said as he ran to the closest mirror he could find. When Trevor saw his face on the mirror, he was horrified. It was because he didn't recognize his own self.
"Don't tell me I have transmigrated. Oh no no no... This is a joke." Travor said to himself. Being a lonely boy all his life animes, books and novels were his escape route from reality. Even though he wasn't a crazy fan of them, he had the fascination for those genres.
For this reason he knew what transmigration was. But he couldn't believe that he was on the receiving end of it.
"Nahh .. This is a joke... This is probably afterlife." Trevor said. It was still hard for him to accept that his consciousness got to transferred to a young boy who he knew nothing of.
"But if I am dead, why is this girl dead?" Trevor said as he realized he still hadn't tackled the major problem he was facing. And that was the dead girl on the table.
"God, if you wanted me to transmigrate at least you could have some good settings. Last time it was sexual misconduct and this time a murder. It's like you are forcing me to commit suicide again." Trevor prayed to God folding his hands.
And if that wasn't enough to infuse fear into him, then the knock on the door scared the living shit out of him.

Life in another world with an Immunity System
NOTE: I just finished a large scale editing with the chapters. From now on, the world is no longer a 1000X Earth. I have added my original element. From here on, with a few exceptions, no similarity can be found with our Earth. Thank you. The change has been applied from chapter 1. So if anyone finds any missed places or traces of my previous world-building, please comment and notify me. Andel lived in a world where those with powers will have the final say in everything. In his world, having no aptitude to either magic or Ki means you are even worse than ants. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any aptitude to either. His life should have been hell, but due to being the son of two powerful parents and descendant of a powerful family saved him from a wretched fate. Life was harsh, but Andel wasn’t one to mourn and do nothing. From his childhood, he learned all kinds of close-combat styles and martial arts, proving himself to be a genius at close combat as long as ki isn’t involved. As genius as he was, there was no way he could match those with powers, right? Wrong! Andel had another identity. He was originally a person from Earth who got transmigrated after an accident. Moreover, during his transmigration, he also gained a system that gave him resistance to various things in exchange for experience points. With the Immunity System in hand, Andel decided to finally step into this magical new world and make a name for himself, after spending twenty years in training. The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
