“My name is Fenbalar, Fenbalar Mooncairn, and this is my sister Venicia Mooncairn — the one with the appointment,” a boy with a white hair says politely.
Dana got stunned for a moment, try to remember about Mooncairn family. However, he doesn’t stand still for long. He immediately changes into his professional mode, “Okay then, Venicia you can come inside, you too Fenbalar if you want.”
“Very much appreciated,” he says while pushing his sister's wheelchair to the Vys’ room.
Dana is following behind him and then sit behind Vys — observing at how Vys diagnose the blind girl.
Fenbalar look surprised for a moment after looking at a doctor with same age at him, he felt skeptical, but he can’t go back after going this far — not when his sister in this state. At least he needs to see if this boy has the same skill as the rumor from medical worlds said.
Vys understand what the boy is thinking at this moment but ignore him, that is a usual attitude for people who first come here. After he sees the boy sit down saying nothing, he knows that the boy is testing him. He immediately examining the girl without asking him anything.
On all steps, Vys do it with the precise manner and stoic face, but, Dana knows this is his expression when Vys got serious — either because of anger or her sickness that difficult to treat.
“Can you flow your Qi to your artery,” he asks occasionally.
The girl nod and then try to flow her Qi to her artery, at this moment Vys activating his bloodline — changing his eyes to become type Qi detection beasts’ eye. His eyes appear glowing with reddish color from the outside but there no one question it, sometimes doctors have this type of skill to assist them in their diagnose.

After asking a series of question to the girl, he’s sighing. Her sickness is impossible to cure in the current level of technology, the blindness, and weak limb is just part of many side effects. Her life won’t last long.
“Do you want to your brother hears —,” he carefully asks the girl but got cut off.
“It’s okay doc,” she says.
He looks at the brother and sees him nod too.
He let out another sigh, “Fine then, you have two years at most to live with this situation, or exactly about 22 months — I know it’s not a long time. However, there nothing I can do with current technology that can cure your sickness, even the thing that can prolong your life right now is very hard to get.” he says while looking at her expression carefully, “I’m sorry.”
“What do you think that makes my body like this doc,” there no trace of anger or sadness in her tone as though she already knows that soon she will die.
“From my examination before, it is because of some chemical that changes some of your body function when you still a baby. For the detail, I must take a look deeper, but I think there is nothing can be done, whether you know what substance that goes inside your body or not.”
“Thank you, doctor,” her face not showing anguish, even when Vys basically says she soon will die.
Different from Venicia tranquil expression, Fenbalar expression changing rapidly in the whole process — shocked, stunned, despair, furious. Everything in his thought is easily read by other. He already visits many great doctors in all three continents with his Master to cure his sister. Many of them can guess how many years left his sister has, but that after days examining his sister and even after that many days — they still say that curing her is impossible.

His last hope is someone in this island, who known and acknowledge by those great doctors, in less than half an hour he can easily diagnosing she has two years left and even know the cause of her sickness. Even so, he still says that he can’t cure her, a person whom many doctors say as the best — can’t do anything.
How can he’s not despairing after know there is no hope for his sister, but after a moment he remembers something along the lines that Vys says.
After a moment of hesitation, he asks, “You say that there something that can prolong her life?”
“Yes, but —.”
“Please, I will do anything as long as she can prolong her life,” He’s immediately bowing after say that words.
Looking at the scene, Vys let out a sigh, “I’m sorry. If I can, I would. However, the ingredients are spread around the world, while some of them are very rare and won’t come into the market because it directly bought by people who sit on the top of this world,” he says while pointing his index finger heavenwards.
Favors to a boy with this great potential can protect his family later, but when something couldn't be done, he will say it straight to the face. That nearly impossible to own those ingredients even after he’s pulling all his favor.
Ven: Knowing that my brother bowing for me, and nothing I say will change his mind.

46 Year Old Syndrome
The daily Litrpg journal of a fairly average 46 year old man in a world where hundreds of thousands of people suddenly have a super power.Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.

Chasing Darkness
Lilith's first time parachuting at night was a disaster. Fictional Gods clashed before her eyes. Caught in the crossfire, Lilith traveled through Space and Time. Her reality was turned into her favorite childhood game, Pokemon. The beginning of journey shrouded in the Dark. A Pursuit of something Greater. *** Author Notes: As a writer, I enjoy the 'How' and 'Why' thing happen in a story over 'What' happens. This will not, however, diminish plot points in the story. Each Arc will be well thought out. This Fanfic explores what it would be like in a reality where Pokemon exist. Most other Fanfics are based on game or anime logic. I will be taking the point of view of a Progression Fantasy. I will try to update every Weekday at Noon Central. P.S. I do this for fun. As I am an amateur writer, I expect complaints and criticism. Anything other than constructive will be ignored. Well thought out Reviews, please. *I Do NOT own Pokemon in any way, shape or form. *I created the Cover in all its pixilated glory.

How About Heresy?
Jeffrey's a guy who's most certainly a heretic but likes to believe he's not. Like we all do. Though, being a villain, there are many do gooders that'd like to exchange a strong word— or rather fisticuffs with him. Doing the deeds of villains, he places his own strange lens of justice over it, all the while, being an absolute fool. How will Jeffrey fare against the might of the good? —————————— "You tryin' ta shill me heresy?" "Ye- I mean yesn't," That's absurd why would I shill heresy? I'm not a heretic godsdamnit! In a realm of heretics and apostles alike, what to do? Well, I'm not sure of that myself. Though I have a feeling joining a cult may not be the best action... "No way. Are we being clapped by the power of friendship?" "Indeed we are," Shite. NOTE: - Don't expect an overpowered main character, nor a weak character. Strength isn't a plot point. - This is mainly a comedy, so it ain't as dark as you think it'd be despite the numerous mentions of cultists, heretics and murder... - There isn't going to be any face slapping scenes.
