《My Only Lorelei》Vol 2: Epilogue

We had planned on starting sail to Aegis the day after the celebration party in the ship, but because almost everyone had drunk more than they could handle that night, we spent the next day sleeping and then only on the day after did we actually start sailing.
I was still feeling a bit sick on the ship, so I went to the deck and hung myself off to the side, trying to get the fresh air.
“Still feeling sick?” Lorelei asked.
I nodded slowly. If I moved too much, I might just have to throw up again.
Then suddenly, a strong hand hit my back with a loud smack.
I managed to hold myself from throwing up and then immediately turned around to see who the idiot was that hit me.
It was Lewis.
“Feeling alright there, Din? You’re looking as pale as yesterday.”
Lewis, along with Tal, Scarlett, Frankie, Reginald, Zoe, Jenson, and Tommy, were the ones that were just as sick as I was yesterday, but today, it looked everyone aside from Tal and me were feeling all right.
“Just don’t talk to me right now, I need to focus on not puking,” I replied as I went back to looking at the sea.
It had been a couple hours since we left the Lanport area and the weather looked so much better. Even in the winter day, the sun was shining brightly, but the air was nice and cool so if it wasn’t for the sickness I felt from having drank too much, I would be enjoying this moment a lot more.
“I know you’re probably sick of hiring me say this again and again, but I really can’t thank you enough for what you did in Lanport. I know there will be people who don’t live in Lanport that will criticize your decision but know that you made the right choice.”

“And what makes that the right choice?” Tal suddenly interjected.
Judging from his face, he was still feeling a little sick, but he seemed to be doing much better than I was, at least.
“We’ve taken away the freedom of all those people there and you call that the right choice? It doesn’t matter how harmful they were, if you want to change them, you should convince them through your actions, not control their minds.”
If it hadn’t been for Frankie showing me how dangerous the people of Lanport were without Crowell’s control, I might’ve agreed with Tal, but it was different now.
The way they acted was just like Callum, but just much weaker. Their reckless and ruthless acts were dangerous to the people that actually wanted to live a normal life.
“Could you guys just stop arguing about that for one day?!” Mun joined in as well. “You two wouldn’t stop arguing the whole party and all of yesterday! Just let it be! It’s already over now!”
For once, she actually said something I agreed with.
Lewis and Tal both grunted while turning away from one another.
“How’s Din and friends doing over here?” Scarlett asked. She looked cheery as she walked over to us. “Din still isn’t feeling any better, I see.”
I gave her a thumbs up to let her know I was doing my best before turning around back to the sea.
I could hear her chuckle before she announced, “So I have a general idea of where Aegis might be. From what your uncle told you, it was an island that was located northwest of Grandel. That isn’t much to go off of by itself, but there are only a few kilometers between Grandel and its neighboring kingdom Wyen. If what you uncle told you is right and Aegis is really inside Grandel, then we will surely run into it soon.”

“Wyen, huh. I wonder if we’ll run into any of their ships on the way,” Lewis muttered.
“It’s likely. Most of the kingdom’s trading grounds are located on their southeastern side, where they have a port city. I’m sure we’ll run into ships from other kingdoms as well.”
Mun began tucking on Tal’s shirt, “We’re going to be fine, right? It sounds like we’re heading off into some dangerous area. I don’t like the sound of it. I definitely do not like the sound of it.”
She repeated herself.
“How would I know? We’ve only been in Grandel all our life, I don’t know a single thing about Wyen,” Tal replied while trying to shake Mun off, who had still been tucking at his shirt.
“It’s nothing to worry about,” Scarlett assured. “We’re all experienced in dealing with other kingdom and cities. We even have a few crewmates from Wyen so it shouldn’t be a problem speaking with them.”
“Do they not speak English?” Lewis asked.
That thought hadn’t occurred to me until just now.
Scarlett chuckled, “They do, but… their accent is something that’s very hard to understand if you’re not used to it.”
For some reason, the bright sun suddenly disappeared, and in its place, many dark clouds formed. The cheery mood around the ship was gone as well.
Everyone looked up at the sky at the sudden change of weather.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“I don’t like the look of it…” Scarlett whispered.
It suddenly began pouring hard. The waves of the sea became unpredictable, moving the ship left and right.
“Everyone! Get down to your rooms! Reginald, stay with Ralphie on the poop deck and see what he needs. Tommy, head with him as well. Everyone else, go down!”
We all began moving towards the stairs.
The ship was moving drastically now. It didn’t seem like the ship was under our control anymore, it was all up to the sea.
My sickness was getting worse with all the shaking. Lewis picked me up when I was about to lose my balance.
“Thanks…” I managed to get out.
“Don’t talk, just try to walk.”
We were almost there to the stairs.
A flash of lightning burst in front of us. We all fell back on the deck. At the sudden flash of light, I began wiping my eyes to gain my vision back.
A blurry figure was in front of us. After my eyes were able to focus again, I could tell that it was a figure of a woman.
She had long golden-brown hair that went down to her waist. She wore a long orange shirt that almost reached her knees, but because it was only buttoned at the top, her stomach and her short black skirt were visible. Her eyes were that of a Spirit. With her dark gloves, she pointed towards us.
“You will not go any further!”
I was at my limit. I threw up.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? Flesh Forger
Born a bit too late to explore the world, yet far too early to explore space, Graham Lattem is your average 61 year old man - if a little wanderlust filled. That being said, he has a happy home, loving wife, children who check up on him, and a decent retirement fund to live out his golden years modestly. Then it happens. [System Initialization Commencing…] A trick of the light, surely. [Planetary Merger Protocol 331 Enabled] Rumbling can be heard in the distance. Shouts. Cries of anguish. A horrible, ear numbing crashing sound. An earthquake. A hole opens in the middle of his home, and our protagonist falls in as a swirling vortex consumes him. Mountains as far as the eye can see greet Graham as he opens his eyes. Well, and more glowing words: [Welcome To The Macrocosm] [Good Luck] Far away from his family in a world hell-bent on his demise, how will this old, arthritis ridden man survive? Did I mention he has cancer? ===================================================================== Aiming for at least 1 chapter every other day, though there is a very big chance it will more oftentimes than not be more than that! This is my first ever story. One that I’ve been wanting to write for awhile. The system is most definitely inspired by Randidly Ghosthound and The New World, but I promise the story is different! Please point out any mistakes, as I’d love to improve! Also the warnings are just to let me experiment.

Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.
