It's no secret that I miss her dearly
we had a love many only dream of
she was my first, I cherished sincerely
like she was an angel sent from above.
Yet it wasn't meant to be for her and I
a part of me felt amputated, left behind.
Nights are gloom as all I seem to do is cry
life was so bleak my health had declined.
When things were darkest, it just happened
life springs eternal looking into a new face.
Hope had returned better than I ever imagined
love had come back to this cold, lonely place.
Never did I think she could bring back my light
when soothed by her kisses, I know I'll be alright.
