《The Nest (TOME 1)》I'm fire!

Two weeks of hell. I was now twice my size. Our strength increased tenfold and we arrived at a moment that I will never forget.
Han, one more effort and I'm at the edge of the nest. We were fat and we oozed fat from everywhere. It's like someone made us swallow a fryer. My scales shone, shone, shone. From a dragon point of view they were beautiful... A questionable point of view.
Mother used to nurture us most of the time and we didn't suffer from the cold.
She came down from the nest and talked to us.
We were supposed to understand at least half of what she was saying. That was all I had. Telling her monster instead of mother was a bad idea, considering my hell, I can't imagine there's anything worse.
"I have fattened you up so that you can withstand the cold. Did you see that the fire is out? You will now be one with fire."
She pulled us out of the nest, one by one and put us on the pyromaniac stone.
She caught us by surprise after a hug. And pure oil was injected under pressure into my throat. And at the end of the injection, she ignited the oil in me.
Aaaaaaaaargh. I'm burning from the inside out.
My chest swells with the gas burns.
"Endure! "
The pain was excruciating, indescribable, the feeling of drinking a Burgundian fondue.
"Spit out the fire now"
I spit this whole thing out and a spray of flame spear came out of the mouth.
Fwiiish, it did. But I was still burning inside.
"It still burns in it, but it's the useless flesh that disappears. This creates your fire barrier. The burn will allow your fire pocket to generate the flammable liquid and the magic to be transferred into your breath. You can also leave your emotions and messages by fire. You will be able to read a burn, such as a territory mark or a warning or intention.
I am proud of you, my dragons. Thus the feeding is finished."
But I was burning inside, I was consumed by rage. The revenge for making me eat my own body. I remember the texture of my woolen cap that passed through my throat, the poor child's hair.
That monster was eating children!
No doubt about it.

I had the misfortune to meet his eyes at that moment.
"What's wrong, darling? Why are you looking at Mom like that? You've been staring at me meanly all the time! You know Mom loves you!"
I turned my head in despair, his unsustainable look. I couldn't like that thing, it was impossible, yet it did everything a mother hen did with her cubs. She was taking care of us.
I was torn apart.
If I had forgotten, if only I had forgotten....
"Tell Mommy in your words..."
She insisted and wanted an answer.
The only one that came out was:
"Kill me!"
Tears sprang from her eyes.
"My poor little girl! I didn't know you were in that much pain. Mom will try to be gentler with you. Give Mommy a chance, okay?"
I had a hiccup and a sheaf of flames coming out to the side.
"Oh, that's good, you're a real dragon. I'm proud of you!" But at that moment she felt through my flame a part of feelings of hatred. My flame was particularly hot and burning. The stone that came into contact exploded by thermal shock."
"Wow, what anger, I wouldn't want to get your breath when you're an adult."
She rested me delicately in the nest.
My two brothers were suffering martyrdom. They didn't digest their fire well.
One of them grabbed my leg and rubbed his head against it so that I could support him in this ordeal.
I had a distant look. I couldn't love them. It was too much for me.
He licked my paw. I let myself be carried away, with a haggard look.
It was terrible that smell of burning all the time...
I was exhaling and I had smoke coming out of my nostrils
I now had a fire in me. Forever.!
The advantage is that we were no longer cold. My rage must have made me stronger. It didn't hurt anymore, but I knew I was burning. The others were suffering martyrdom. They were moaning and the only word they could say was "mama"
I came out of the nest on my own and wanted to explore the cave.
Mother got in my way.
"Ehh, already worse? Where are you going like that?"
I replied: "Fear of burning nest, fire too strong!"

She understood and laughed.
"Ah, my little one! Already in a hurry to discover the world. Mom understood. You speak well, you're smart! I'm proud to have a dragon like you."
And she hugged me. I got into the game....for my survival.....
I just hope my hypocrisy isn't discovered before the rescue...
I didn't care if I was placed in a zoo or a cage. I wanted to be everywhere but here.
My color was slowly turning to red and white. My legs and wings remaining on the green.
I changed colors in cycles.
Mother let me walk around the nest a little while she watched the other two.
We were in a long cavity, at the back and the entrance was above and we had to climb a slippery wall.
In the same room, there was the "release" and the fire well.
The smell was unbearable in here. In the background I could see a bone-shaped storage room. It was full of decaying corpses.
And when it stank too much, mother would burn by blowing on it to melt the bones...Then she placed my brothers next to me and said:
"You can play, I'll hunt a little. Stay here and don't fall into the fire pit. I took the opportunity to explore the cave and find interesting things. There was a pile of jackets and mixed skins. Apparently Mother didn't differentiate between preys and humans. A skin, a jacket, it was the same for her. On the woods, I found a hunting rifle and ammunition in a sling with a putrefied human stocking.
"Sorry," I told the corpse, and took the gun and stashed it in the nest at the base. Then I searched the jackets and found 2 mobile phones. I didn't know the pin code but for emergencies it had to work again. The hull was solar rechargeable. Great, I can save a little time. I took the stuff I stashed but in another place.
I found a stone that was wobbly and dug behind it to make a cache and stashed it all over it. I soaked my urine in the place to mask the smell of the equipment.
I looked over my shoulder and I didn't see any eyes.Whew, even if they saw me, I was just a dragonette playing with rocks.my brothers were stupid, well, not too stupid, they had to learn, that's all.
On the other hand, what worried me was that there was no network, not a single bar! My backup plan was falling apart. I had to find something else. Mother arrived with 2 sheep and 2 deer alive.
She dropped them in front of us:"Bon appétit my darlings! I'll show you once! "
She grabbed the sheep with her lower leg, spreading her wings to keep the balance and, with a blow of her teeth, she slit the sheep's throat. She then beheaded him by taking his head in his jaw and CRUNCH, the head burst in his mouth, spilling all the juice on the ground, running away between her teeths.
She thought back her lips and said, "These fruits of the earth (She spoke of sheep as seafood), I love it! It's your turn!"
It was a massacre and the animals screamed chewing and scratching and various lacerations. One of the dragons grabbed the whole deer and tried to swallow it alive from behind.
He shook the beast in all directions and hit his skull against the rocks until his skull pealed against the stones. The other was lying dying, next to the breathless dragon, full of hair and skin flakes of the poor skinned deer alive.
Mother looked at me severely: "So, your turn! You have to do it!"
I took the deer using my "hands" and stroked the beast to reassure it and massaged its neck. It irritated mother and suddenly I broke her neck by turning her head 180 degrees.
She will not suffer like this!I stuck my teeth in his neck like a vampire and the warm blood deliciously entered my mouth. I say deliciously, but it disgusted me to the highest degree, but I preferred this a million times more than to relive a single moment of force-feeding.
Mother:" A perfect death in a gentle and painless way! You should torture your prey more! You have to stress them a lot before killing them, their flesh tastes better, it's stronger too and you absorb more of their essence, which boosts us and makes us stronger. Come here, I'll give you a hug."
I obey but without any real obligation."Come to Mommy dear!"Grrrrrrr.........
