"Ahhhhhh!!"

Hoarse Screams of pain filled the air, and kel hit the ground once more. This time, his blood had splattered all over the place. Yet, no one said anything to stop zara, not even nigo, who was the cause of everything.

Truth be told, nigo didn't say anything because zara won't listen to him. She was always as ruthless, when it came to those, who were willing to bully him or Ejiro. If he had the power, he would stop her but he was a cripple. He couldn't do anything.

Fear coursed through everyone's heart. They felt an oppressive chill assault them, every time zara used her energy. some were even beginning to sweat. How won't they feel fear? When this was the first time, they were ever experiencing such ruthless and extreme behaviour. Some of them had never seen the blood of others in their lives. How much more, this much blood and in such manner?

Bang!!!

Kel rolled on the floor once more. This time, though he was conscious,

he no longer had any strength left to shout anymore.

Zara walked over to him. Instead of attacking him as usual, she just looked at him with disdain, turned around to look at nigo "Take Ejiro to the infirmary" she said.

Nigo was neither scared nor shocked because, what he experienced in that dream was so catastrophic, that what happened before him, was like a grain of sand compared to an ocean. He walked to Ejiro, trying to assist him but Ejiro stopped him and said "I can stiil walk on my own"

Though Ejiro was injured, if he didn't want nigo to help him, nigo won't be able to do anything, because the disparity in strength between them; was as far as heaven and earth.

Ejiro glanced at zara not saying anything, before making his way in the direction of the infirmary alongside nigo.

As they approached the crowd, everyone gave way for them. After witnessing what had happened before them; who in their right minds would choose to do anything to offend nigo or Ejiro?

When they were out of sight, zara turned to look at a kid in the crowd and said "Take him to the infirmary" refering to kel who was drenched in blood.

The kid shuddered in fear as zara's gaze hit him. He nearly fainted "Y......yes yes yes!" he stuttered as he responded.

He had to say 'yes' three times to make sure zara heard him. He didn't want to take chances.

The kid beckoned on his friends behind him and they all joined to carry 'kel's blood drenched' body to the infirmary.

Zara suddenly stretched forth her hand.

"!!!!!"

The moment zara made the gesture, fear and dread enveloped everyone present.

Zara snapped her finger and a slight ripple of user energy occurred. Ice covered the blood on the floor, it dissipated, and the stains of blood, on the floor disappeared.

Just as she finished, she disappeared from before their sight, using the Ice reflection shadow. As she left, the oppressive ice aura that enveloped everyone, disappeared along with her. But the feeling of fear, was still present in the hearts of everyone. It was at this moment that some people noticed that they were sweating.

{United Royal Infirmary}

The infirmary is located in another building, different from that of the Nascent section. It is about fifty metres to the left of the Nascent section.

The Infirmary doesn't have much difference from the nascent section, when it comes to internal decor. Except the smell of medicines and arrangement of beds in the ward.

It is divided into two departments; one for minor injuries while the other for emergency situations.

Right now, the group of nigo and his friends were located at the department for minor injuries. The department has more than a hundred beds arranged in series, with about ten metres gap separating them.

There is also an office at the side of the ward. It has a desk with shelves filled with medical books around it, at three sides.

Nigo and zara were both seated on a bed, and opposite them was Ejiro, receiving treatment for his injuries.

"I wonder when senior syl would be done with the treatment?" Zara said to nigo with a worried look on her face. Right now, the frightening ice witch had disappeared without trace, and what replaced it, was a caring zara once more.

"Weren't you the one, who told her to make sure she restores him to hundred percent?" Nigo responded

"I know, but why is it taking so long, she should be done by now, right?" she responded.

"Have you forgotten; Ejiro used a good portion of his energy to protect me from kel?" Nigo gritted his teeth when he remembered his friend, is in this situation because of him.

"Healing his injuries would take few minutes. for someone like senior syl. However, restoring his user energy to a hundred percent, would take some time, right?" nigo finally turned to look at her.

"Heh, look who's now an expert in user energy" zara said while raising her nose at him.

"I may be a cripple, but something like that should be common knowledge, oh 'wise expert" Nigo said in response to zara's taunt.

"You two never stop arguing no matter where you are huh?"

"......" zara, who wanted to retort nigo's words, stopped when the words of senior syl came into her ears.

The duo turned to look at the figure of a woman in front of them. The woman is clad in a red top and a black skirt. She also put a lab coat over her cloths. But despite that, the outline of her voluptuous curves were glaring for all to see.

She has black hair and black pupils. Her face; as smooth as that of a baby's. She looks like a fairy descended from the fairy world. Her beauty; enough to cause kings to go to war. She looked at them with glittering eyes and an exquisite smile on her face.

"Your constant arguments are so loud that, even senior syl has taken notice"

Ejiro's voice sounded from behind her.

"I just hope you don't argue in front of your kids in the future" Ejiro said as he walked out from behind her. He looked healthy, without any signs of injury and his aura showed he was back to a hundred percent.

Senior syl widened her beautiful eyes slightly, as she heard those words from Ejiro.

Zara was flustered, the moment she saw senior syl's reaction to what Ejiro said. While nigo on the other hand, was calm.

"Oh...is that true? Are you two planning..." senior syl said

"No it's not!" Zara shouted to cut senior syl off, before she concluded her statement.

"Ejiro! You....you" zara was short of words. She averted her gaze to the floor in embarrassment.

"Eh....why are you embarrassed? If you feel nothing for nigo, then you should be angry instead!"

"!!!" Ejiro's words caused zara to look up, with an icy blue light, flashing in her eyes as she said to Ejiro "if you don't stop talking right now, I'll. ...ill"

"Heh..... you'll what!" Ejiro said, not backing down despite zara's icy glare.

"I'll.."

"Alright Alright, that's enough" senior syl interrupted them.

"Hump!" Zara said with a snort.

Nigo finally looked at them and asked "what are we going to do about kel's situation?"

Everyone looked at him, it was at this moment, they noticed nigo had been unusually quiet.

He continued "Because fighting in the school is an offense with expulsion as penalty"

"You don't have to worry about that" zara said

"???" Everyone, including senior syl were surprised by her reaction.

"And why is that?" Senior syl asked. She, as a doctor at the school, knew just how strict the rules were. Thus, there was no way anyone could escape punishment, regardless of status.

"This" zara threw a wisp of user energy at senior syl. Senior syl didn't react or defend. She allowed it fly into her forehead. The wisp melted and senior syl's eyes widened, she looked at zara and said "zara...what....how did you learn..."

"It iss Ejiro's invention. He taught i and nigo this technique today, and it doesn't require a liaison core to use. Anyone can use it because, it is simple to learn"

Senior syl regained her calm, and looked at ejiro "As expected of you. You lot, never stop giving me pleasant surprises" she praised him with joy in her heart.

"Thank you senior syl. Although it is good, it's still not perfected yet. So please, can you not tell anyone about this?" ejiro said

"Of course, don't be disturbed. It is yours, and you are the one who has the right, to say when we expose it to the world" senior syl said with a smile on her beautiful face.

"The one who should be worried is kel" zara said, before continuing in a serious tone "because no teacher was present during the altercation, and even the section elder was busy with preparations for the fall of star meteorites. Therefore, the case shouldn't be reported by anyone. Because none of us are going to say anything, and neither would kel. But if news still got out to the teachers, then we could easily use Ejiro's memory technique to defend ourselves, even if the whole school sides with kel" zara explained the situation. She had already thought of the worse case scenario and made plans for it. The plan was so perfect, that they won't have any casualty when the time comes.

Senior syl was surprised at her plan. She had heard of zara's shrewdness, but this was the first time she experienced it.

Nigo shook his head. He knew either zara or ejiro would have a plan to solve the situation. He just hated the fact, that he couldn't stop relying on them everytime, he truly felt useless.

"Alright, that's a good plan you got there. Since we can all use the memory technique, it won't be a problem to defend ourselves anywhere, anytime" ejiro said in agreement. Though, he had noticed a flaw in her plan, he chose to leave it, as it wasn't something that would affect any of them.

"Alright let's get going" Nigo said standing up. He turned to senior syl and thanked her for her help, they all gave their thanks and left the infirmary.

While they were outside walking towards the nascent section, they noticed there were no students around.

"Looks like there's no one left in school" Nigo said looking around

"Yeah that's true" zara said in agreement

Nigo suddenly stopped and turned to his friends "since it's almost time for the star meteorite to fall, why don't we stay in the school and wait for it instead. That way, we won't be on our way home when it starts"

Ejiro raised his brows, looking at his friend.

"Besides, the school is empty, so we have nothing to fear"

"Eh... And what should we be doing while we wait for it to fall?" Zara asked. What nigo said made sense, but would they just sit down and wait for it to happen? when they could head home immediately. Especially nigo, who had his nanny 'Granny chi' waiting for him to return. He should be the last to say such a thing. Besides, it's not like the star meteorites could break the Absolute Flame Barrier. Hence, they had nothing to fear, and even if it did break, there were powerful experts stationed around the Flame capital to protect them.

"Let's play a game" nigo replied

"Huh?" ejiro blinked

"A game?"zara asked "and what type of game would that be?"

"Hide and seek" Nigo said in a calm voice. (This may seem childish to some of you. However, there is a very solid reason for this. And that reason would come in following chapters)

"???" Both of his friends were confused. They knew, such a game was only for kids, who couldn't sense their surroundings, who had not awakened their liaison core, and they were both adept to their surroundings. They knew the auras of those who were around them. So finding a person with their eyes closed was as easy as raising their hands. Not to mention, nigo was a cripple, who couldn't sense his surroundings, so why would he pick a game where he was disadvantaged?

"I know it sounds stupid, but I have a reason for it and I'll be the one to start, so you don't have to worry" Nigo tried to persuade his friends.

Zara and ejiro looked at themselves, before they both looked at nigo "Ok, i'll play the game" zara said

Ejiro pondered a little before replying "I don't know what you have in mind, but I'll play along"

Seeing that his friends agreed to play the game, nigo smiled and said "Go and hide while I shut my eyes to count" he paused before continuing in a pleading tone "and please, don't choose to make it easy for me to find you"

They both noted and disappeared from before him while he began to count. His plan was to know if what he was sensing was true or not. If he could sense his friend's energy and find them, then what he had been feeling would be a reality!

But............. little did he know, that his actions right now, would affect his fate and the fate of his friends.
