Subject: my work

Dear Sabrina,

So now we know why we have got our characters. That will surely help us to solve problems in the future.

So, today I will tell about my work. You know I am working in the Telecom dept. the main product of SXXX Telecom is PABX, which means private electronic (telephone) exchange. PABX is used by a big company to have their own internal telephone calls. And for the connection of their tel. network with outside lines. Even though it appears simple, a PABX has a lot of functions. Our PABX has about 350 features. For example, the project I am doing now is called call forwarding if not reachable. That is, if A calls B and B has switched off his handset, or if he is out of range, the call will be automatically transferred to another phone C. this is a simple feature. There are more complicated things like roaming etc. that is when one person moves out of range from a station, he must be switched to the new station without any disturbance in talking. Then the last project I did was called accounting. It deals with the charging information. How a person is charged according to the call he makes. To route his call through the available route, to get the charging info from the line, etc. Then to calculate and display his charge bill. Then there are features like a hunting group, with which, a call searches all by itself for an available person in a group. Do you understand what I am saying, if yes, tell me, I can describe in more detail? If not, tell me so, I will explain in a more simple way.

We have to write software for everything that is being done with the PABX. We have to design the features and implement them.

Well, too many technical things, right? Today again I have to go early, cricket practice is there.

And I forgot to tell, it is ok to work hard, but not too hard...OK, my sweet woman?

With love

Kamal
