《Harmony: An Assassins Tale》Chapter 63: Sealing.

I had to become better in using Magic, so I commenced the sealing act, which Mikasa told me to use in only extreme conditions. Before beginning, I stuck my head into my rift, and told Mikasa if she was okay to sit there for possibly a few weeks or if she would want to get out. She told me she was okay there, as long as she was supplied with the ability to use Yagrik while I was away. I agreed.
The way sealing worked is different than what you would expect. Basically, when you seal your 'rift' , you can't use it anymore, regardless of the situation, unless you do the proper unsealing act, you will never be able to use it again. Also, if any life form was within your rift while you seal it, they have temporary ability to use your Soul Emifer, but they, also, can't leave the rift. I hesistated for a moment, but than I decided to start the act.
I closed my eyes, and thought about surgery, mainly, stitching. As I watched the surgeon's 'stitch' or 'seal' the people's wound, I made a similar movement with my hands, sealing the hole of my rift, which allowed me access to it. After applying a tremendous force at the end, I managed to seal it. When I sealed it, I had a burst of pain, but it later subsided. I felt empty. It was like someone removed all my organs and left me a hollow shell. I had to get used to it. I continued on the process of removing the layers delicately.
Soon three hours passed of me sitting infront of the wall, and I managed to remove only half of the layers. While I was completing the fifth, Untra came out of a bush, which freaked Jennifer out for a while. "Hey, where were you?" Jennifer asked, and he rolled his eyes. "I forsee what would happen, so I took the long way so that I didn't have to endure the past. Oh, by the way Johnny, what are you doing? You seem weaker, and you do know there's a door over there...." He said, pointing to a hole in the tower. I looked at Jennifer angrily.
"A..Ah I'm sorry! I didn't look around. I just wanted to destroy it! Sorry, sorry!" She said. I ignored her mistake, and told her next time to absorb the situation. With that, I took off Unis, and was about to throw him back into my rift, but I realized I still had him with me. Since it wasn't directly my Soul Emifer, it probably wasn't effected by the sealing act. I was worried holding it, because my soul could be eaten at any moment. I shrank Unis into a hairclip, and clipped it on Jennifer's hair. "Whatever happens, don't remove that hair clip, and always stay by my side, as long as you are wearing that." I said, and held her close. I didn't have the courage to stare at her eye to eye, but I could feel the warmth coming from her face. "Oh... okay." She said.

Untra gagged, and led us inside the tower. "I don't think I need my future sight here, let's just venture for now," he said, smiling. I felt like he was still using it, you know, to be safe, but probably took it off after understanding what would happen. As we went down, I heard a cackle, a pop, and a hideous snort. "Yes! Yes! It's almost complete! My babies, you will become even more horrendous!" he said, laughing crazily. He then looked at one of his blank monitors, and had a blank expression. "I...I...Intruders? But... no one ever comes here, could it be. . . .?" he said, looking behind him. We quickly hid behind the nearest object we could find. The old man than looked back to his creation. When he mixed a purple looking liquid with the sizzling beaker, the ghosts appeared, and they travelled into the middle chute. I assumed there were many layers of magic around here to direct them. What amazed me was the fact he was using the principles of Chemistry,Alchemy and Magic all together to form what he is creating. When Jennifer saw those ghost like things flying upwards, she took out Yartsdra, but I tried to calm her down. "Not now, not now." The Old man spun. "I felt that. There are some powerful rats here, you should think twice taking out a magical item inftont of me, you know." With that, he jumped infront of us, and tried to scare us. Jennifer screamed and smacked him in the face, and he flew to Untra, and Untra cushioned his landing on the wall. When he patted his pants, I saw Untra with blood on his face. "Ouch." he said.
With that, the old man looked at us, and when Jennifer was about to attack him again, he moved his hands in a waving motion, and I could tell what happened. I quickly moved to the side, and a blast of wind blew Jennifer, breaking around 10 meters thick of rock, before finally coming to a stop. "O..Ouch." She said, coughing. When he looked at me, when he was about to attack, he stopped, and than looked at me a bit closer. "It can't be. It is! Wellington Sama! I thought after that incident you were never going to come back. Haha, I've been working on that formula you were talking about, but it's halfway done. But who knows, you already have the prototype. So, how are you doing?" He said, smiling, patting my back.
"I'm not, Wellington. I simply look at him. My name is Johnny Wellington, not Wellington." The Old man seemed a bit confused. "But master, wasn't that your name? Johnny Wellington? Isn't that the name master chose after the incident?" He said. I was a bit confused, but I decided to play along for a while. "So, before we go anywhere, what's your name and age?" I asked, and he chuckled. "Oh Wellington Sama! I can't believe u forgot in poor old Hibus! And don't talk about my age, but to keep it a secret between us, next month I'll be having my 2nd millenia birthday, I'll be 2000!" He said, laughing. That surprised me, and his little secret managed to be heard by everyone. "2000?Have you went insane Old Man? Humans live on average 60 years, and you are certainly human. So how are you so old?" He seemed to motion again at slamming her with wind, but I stopped him, telling him that the both of them were my friends.

"Oh. I'm sorry Wellington Sama. But Anyways, why are you here?" I told Hibus about why Hazen The Tenth saved us. "Oh, so the ninth finally transformed? Well, they were like that. Ah, I remember the first. I'm pretty sure he looks the same. The Hazen line is a strong bloodline, of a forgotten clan, it's nice to know that they are still living. Anyways, the disturbances would probably be our Ultimate Plan. I have done as much as I could, but a single piece is missing, and that's the power of the Kiji. So, we just have to wait until the 800th Kiji, and then the plan can finally take place, assuming you save us from God's Wrath. Be weary though. In all the previous Kiji's, every hundredth is where God is probably at his peak, and know previous Universe survived his Wrath. By the way, how is that Dimension I leant Mikasa?" I was quite surprised by the fact he knew so much.
"Oh, it's doing okay, I guess. We both left it, so it's empty, it's probably gone by now." He sighed. "Once a Dimension is created, it can't be destroyed that easily, it's probably floating withing The Void, but it's there nonetheless. That portal is probably the only way of locating it properly. It seems like I have to teach you a bit. Stay here with me, and your friends can stay if they want. I can tell He sent you here for a reason, so I'll keep you for... I'll say two years. I'll tell you a bit more of what happened, but only a glimpse, He himself will clarify it. I'll sharpen your Magical power, and I'll even teach you my triple threat technique, or the Triple T for short. I hope we can be friends." he said, raising out his hand.
I thought about it for a while, and then decided to stay with him. I was to learn anyways.
Good choice, my little lamb.
"Wellington Sama? So you are still alive. That's a relief. Although your voice is quite quiet, I can feel your presence. What have you told this Wellington San?" He said, staring above my head.
My little lamb, Hibus is a bit crazy, but he is smart, stay with him, it'll be good for you. Learn my lamb.
With that, he faded. "Aww, I wanted to talk to Wellington Sama, but I feel like he insulted me. Anyways, are you staying or going?" I thought again, and then looked at my friends. "Yeah, it's okay if you go." Jennifer said, and Untra simply flipped his hair, which I assumed as a yes. I then took the hairclip from Jennifer, and thanked her. "I'm sorry for leaving you, once again, but I'll be even stronger, and I hope you'll be as well." Untra didn't say anything, and I didn't know him that well either.I still didn't understand why he came, but time will only tell.
I waved them goodbye, and before Jennifer went, I gave her a big hug. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry for leaving you, Jennifer." I said, and than looked away. I put my hand on my eyes, trying to wipe away the tears that formed on my face.
Jennifer also said goodbye, and then left. After they both left, Hibus closed the tower. "Okay, we'll be alone here for about two years, I won't let you out of here, so, are you ready for your dungeon life?" Hibus asked. I laughed.
"I would be if you teach me something, you old fart." I said, laughing. He seemed pissed, and tried to attack me with the wind. I jumped up, and dodged it. I then grabbed his waist, and did a suplex. His head didn't even touch the floor. It was floating. "With time, you can do this too." While floating, He dragged me to him, probably by created a gravitational field around him. The pull was strong. Nothing else was pulled, rather, simply everything in my direction. When My clothing barely touched him, he , instead of pull, pushed me. The force was extremely intense, that my head broke through several meters of rock. "Don't worry, I protected your head, else you would be dead by now. Now, do you want to learn?" he asked, smiling.
I grinned, and wiped the sweat off my face. "Yes, please, teach me, master!" I said, and bowed. I'm slowly scaling the steps to the 800th Kiji. I was going to become something Mr.Voice wanted me to become, someone strong enough to comprehend what was happening in this collapsing world of ours. As I went to bed, I looked up, and thought about how the others were doing. I fell asleep, with an empty dream.

8 206Cinder Roots (Undergoing a Rewrite)
This novel is currently undergoing a major rewrite, as I noticed several plot points that needed to be revamped. I'll leave the chapters I've posted here to anyone curious to see how everything started, but I'll be posting the rewritten story as a new novel in the future. The characters will be the same, but the journey will be more understandable and hopefully, a lot more fun to read. -------- First, everything was fire, it killed, it consumed, and it gave him life. He was just a tree, born in the biggest forest that remained in the world, full of dryads, naiads, elves and treants, but he was alone. He couldn’t see. He couldn’t talk. Curiosity plagued him. He dreamed of wandering the land, but could only wonder what stood outside the reach of his roots. The tree was tired of waiting. He decided to not just dream, but to act. How could he survive against a invading empire, a grand conspiracy that threatened to shake the foundations of the world, and the raw danger that lies within these woods? With pure determination. Warning - There are quite a few POV changes in the first chapters, but that'll change after the introduction is done, as I'll be focusing on the MC perspective only.
