《Harmony: An Assassins Tale》Chapter 57: New Arrival

When I first came to the class, I could tell there was two people who were from the morning. The rest were all normal students, with their chatter that seemed to live on forever in this room. I couldn't help but feel like I was being stared at continuously, and when I started looking around in the classroom filled with students, I noticed a woman staring at me. Both of her arms were bandaged, and she had black hair, dark like Kurai Kyu. When the teacher entered, I could tell it was a normal teacher, as she didn't have the 'presence' others had. She took our normal attendance and whatnot, and she was also our Science teacher. The class I was in was the last year of high school, so most of the people here were about 1 or 2 years older than me, which made me feel younger then them. None of them seemed rash though, as I wasn't picked on, regardless of them knowing my age.
I was a geek to them, a geek who knew everything the teacher would ask and had no use to be in the school, except for the fact of getting a diploma. When the period ended, the same girl who was staring at me walked upto me, and said to me, quietly, "Follow me." It reminded me of my situation when I first came to this school. Although this time, I was a bit more prepared, and didn't have to worry about being attacked, so I followed her. She went to the same place where I originally met Jennifer, and there we had a talk, at break period. "I know who you are, Johnny. I came here to simply say I would like to, work with you." I had a small feeling that I couldn't trust her, for some reason I believed that I knew this person who I never met before.
"First off, I would like a name, and second off, what exactly is this work you speak of?" and she smiled. It was an innocent-looking smile, filled with happiness, nothing else. "You can call me Lily. This work of mine could simply be called as watching you. Will you agree to this offer of mine?" I sighed. "This is an offer? It seems like only you are benefitting from this, where is my gain, Lily?" she smiled. "I won't kill you. Simple as that. Don't tempt me, do not even try. I'm much stronger than you, stronger than Raizel even. So, just agree with me." I, with the help of Unis, I checked her abilities, and sure enough, it was about the same level of Raizel's. I silently nodded, and with that she smiled. "I take that as a deal ... ... oh look, the bell rang, time to get to class, Johnny." I forced a smile. I gave her a light punch on the shoulder. "Yeah... Lily," and then we walked away, as if we never met.

After that, my day went on normally, and the bell rang. Nothing special really happened. Lily was still watching me, but I had no idea why. I started thinking about the possibilities of who Lily actually is. If Lily was to know about me , and my affair with Raizel, than most likely she was close. That means she was there watching us, as in me and Raizel, while we were fighting, but she didn't seem like she knew about me and Jennifer. That left me with a few ideas, but I couldn't pinpoint who exactly she was. My hypothesis is that she was someone working undercover, someone who I was near with, maybe a colleague of Jennifer,Trinity,Raizel,Hazen,Skiean, or any other that were close to us during the fights. I decided to ignore the subject for now.
Usually while we were studying , a few boys would come up and watch me. They always looked at me with a face of disgust, and they would usually bully me for being a nerd. I had to keep cool and not engage though, because even without trying, I could easily kill anyone here, who is normal, of course. Whenever we were to have P.E. class, I would finish the jog in maybe two or three minutes tops, and then proceed to train myself in my own ways. I couldn't show off my strength however, so I limited my special training to home. I would usually lift weights, and the other normal methods. My average speed was around 50 km/h , but I could only keep that up for about 3 hours. Although I've never really tried running my fastest, at most I could probably outrun a sports car in 15 seconds, then it would take the lead.
I would suppose I should work on my agility, rather than stamina or strength, as agility is a deciding factor when it comes to battles. The speed to react, and the speed to act. I decided to train my reaction by asking someone (I would also do this in school) to throw either a frisbee or a ball at my face (preferably the smallest or largest) and when they were to throw it, I would try to stop its course when it's 5 milimeters away from smacking my face. When they threw 10 objects, at rapid fire, both small and large, I managed to stop all 10, but the moment they threw another one, which was uncalled for, I got smashed with it, and felt a bit dizzy. Lily seemed to just watch me, not acting. I couldn't meet either Kuiy or Jennifer in school (besides lunch) but I supposed Jennifer wouldn't like thsi, Kuiy on the other hand, I had no idea.
I heard that Tou was married, which made me a feel a bit happy, that she actually found someone whom she liked. It still surprises my that Tou was revived, because I was pretty sure that she was dead, I even checked. The only person who I know that could revive people were Skiean and Trinity, and Skiean's is a bit ... weaker, whereas Trinity's is more crude but effective. I sprouted the idea of a third party, but had no idea who it could be. I knew it couldn't have been the Flugre, whom we just made a pact with, nor the Demons, as they were still in a weakened state, which leaves the Angels or Dragons. RagNar-ok may have decided on doing it as a revenge against Raizel, or something like that, whereas I had no idea as to why Gabriel would do such a thing.

Tou didn't seem to be wanting to tell me either , that how she was revived, or who did it in that matter. Most of the classes I would either be brainstorming ideas or play something to kill time, and Lily would always divert half of her attention to me, noting things down. I wondered why I haven't noticed Trinity, because most likely Raizel wanted to keep an eye on me. I thought about the idea that maybe one of the 'normal' students here could possibly Trinity, but none of them had an aura I recognized. I was still clueless about many things, but I knew that once I was strong enough and learn about my past, that all of these things would be clear to me. I sometimes wish I could just return back to my first 4 years of life, with my parents, living happily and without care, but I couldn't do that anymore. It's been almost 11 years since then, and I still had a lot of things to do.
I was considered an asset to the Lord, Hazen the Tenth, and I had a very important role to play. Kurai was still me, which seemed to confuse me a bit that why it wasn't stored, but I supposed it was for the best. "Maybe I should keep it safe." I thought to myself. I started feeling pain, out of the blue. I reached into my rift, and asked Mikasa what was wrong, but then I noticed Mikasa wasn't there. "Damn, she must've wandered off again." The school bell rang, the last bell for the day. It was more, harmonious sounding, than other bells. I then left the class, and jogged outside, and felt like Lily was watching me, I quickly dialed Jennifer and told her to go home alone, as I had something to do.
I didn't know exactly where Mikasa went, but I knew that where I was going was a place I knew about, a place that reminded me of several things, and a memory which was very distinct, something in the past. As I ran towards the location I was running to (which I had no idea about, as it was pure instinct leading me) I heard a gunshot. I then saw the bullet come flying by, and when I looked at the bullet, I could tell it was from a shotgun, and the sound it made reminded me about who exactly this person was.
"Yes, it is me, Johnny. I've waited 5 long years, and I have came to take your life, as it is I, Ujuk, the father of Jennifer. Before I kill you, may you tell me how my daughter is doing?" He seemed worried. I knew I shouldn't lie with him, but I doubted he would believe me, so I told him the truth anyways. "Your daughter... has changed. Long story short, she was killed, ressurected, and now her personality is disfigured, different, from the Jennifer you know. Jenny is now a kind-hearted woman who, although has strength on her side, would rather negotiate, very different from the Jenny you used to know."
He was baffled, thinking I was bluffing. I then , to prove him wrong, called Jennifer here. 10 minutes later she came, and noticed the man with the shotgun. I could feel her pain, as if her mind was pounding at her from the inside. "Gahh! The memories.. the bad memories! Make it stop! Make it stop!" She ran towards me, hugging me, and then fell on me. Ujuk was properly surprised about this act, but I could tell he believed me now. I was able to feel tears dripping, and I asked her what was wrong. "I know, that is my father, but he has a lustful intent around him, is he going to try and kill you? Don't die, please. Don't hurt father also." She said, but Ujuk came down, laughing wholeheartedly. "My my, after seeing this, I couldn't possibly hurt Johnny. Dear, how are you doing? In all honesty I wished you weren't so cruel, and now here you are, a perfect daughter, and to top it off, the leader of the SPIRITS! Man, I am proud to have you as a father."
I couldn't understand this relation between father and daughter, but I knew one thing, and that was all I understood. Ujuk has joined our side, and would most likely be willing to help us. This was good, obviously, as Ujuk most likely trained pretty insanely to defeat me, no, to kill me. "You are now an assassin. I am happy to welcome a fellow brother in arms." I said to him, smiling. He too, smiled back at me, and I felt pleasure from him, somehow. He reminded me of my father, the father who would always ignore me, and not notice me, but his presence was still there, supporting me indirectly. It felt great. Jennifer then got off me, and we both went to my place. I asked Ujuk to come over, but he said he was living with his wife so he was fine. "Man, your father is great, isn't he?" Jennifer smiled. "Yes, he is." We then both walked towards my apartment and slept, as I was pretty exhausted, but I'm not to sure about Jennifer.
