《Harmony: An Assassins Tale》Chapter 10: The Truth Between the Wellingtons.

As the strange man 'teleported' me to my 'home' I wondered what Tou and Jennifer thought, if they even noticed what had happened to me. When I was sent, it took about 2 minutes to arrive to our destination. "Well, here you are, your home, Wellington~Sama." He said, and bowed his head. In front of me was a large mansion which seemed about 5 times the size of our school. To think this was my true family? I've never known about them as I was sent at such a young age. Even as a child I didn't need the help of my parents because I was able to do everything myself, I forgot everything about them.
When I first came, I saw that the two gargoyle statues at the front gate move ever so slightly and I quickly jumped up, right at the time they lunged towards me. When they both lunged and missed, they fell on the pavement and broke into small pieces, and just to be sure I watched the pieces for about 10 minutes, all the time where the strange man just watched. About after 5 minutes, the pieces started moving again, and with that I realized without seperating the pieces, it would continuously re animate itself. To keep the secret of my SE safe, when it crashed into a dozen pieces, I myself grabbed the pieces and ran 100 metres away for each piece, which was a piece of cake considering how much Sensei made me run.
When I came back the Old Man clapped. "Well done, Wellington~Sama, but wouldn't it have been better to use your ability?" He said, and I scoffed, then ignored his words. As we opened the gates, another trap came where the iron grills of the gate came alive and chased me like heat seeking arrows. Knowing that cartoon law won't work in this situation, I grabbed a stone (Not my magical stone, mind you) and Smashed it into one of the grills, and it exploded. With that an idea popped into my mind. I then ran towards the direction of a forest and as I ran i grabbed small stones on the pavement and precisely threw it at the arrow and making it explode. I was able to detonate all the grills before I was even close to the forest. When I came back, he clapped again, "You should try to use your ability, Wellington~Sama" and with that I was ever more precatious

As I continued walked towards the door, traps sprung here and there, the walkway turning into quicksand, the bushes spitting acid, the floor having trap doors, and all those things, and with all of them I didn't have to use my stone, and everytime he clapped and asked me to use my ability, but I was confused, that why he wanted me to use my SE so badly? Anyhow, I managed to reach the door of the mansion and without thinking, I hit the bell, realizing it was most likely a trap. I then jumped two paces backwards and obviously, too my surprise, something popped up. First off, the bell was actually an eye, most likely of a cyclops, and then the mansion itself came up, with the doorbell on the chimney. "Who Dares Enters Wellington~Sama's house? State your name puny human." And I told him my name. "We-We-~Wellington~Sama? Is it really you? I thought you died 5 years ago! I can't believe you are alive!" And I was confused as hell. I knew this Cyclops?
After seeing all these events I wondered two things. First off what the hell is this? The power of a Soul Emifer? Or is it magic, a well known thing which is linked to soul emifer's power to an extent. Second of all I wondered what th ehell happened 5 years ago. All I remember was someone dieing, I think that my memory may have been erased or someting like that. I then asked the Manlops (Mansion-Cyclops) who the hell was he, because I lost my memory. "Wellington~Sama! I Can't believe you have forgotten about me! Remember me? Your pet? You used to have me around you all this time! And This mansion? Remember? You made this in such a way only you would be able to survive." I then realised that I did have some painful flashblacks as I triggered all the traps. "Well Sorry, but I have forgotten everything that has happened up until now." and the Manlops seemed even more sad.

The old man came, and said, "Wellington~Sama! First off, don't call me old man, I'm still in my late thirties, and second of all, call me Hazen, or Butler , whichever you prefer. Second of all, I too, am your pet, and I was made from you especially for something like this. I can't go into details, because what you told me, but you did tell me that if I was to lose my memories , but still be alive, to take me to the warehouse , and then activate my soul emifer." I then thought many things. First off, who the hell am I? What the hell happened in the past, and how the hell did I know about the SE back then?
After thinking for a while, I decided to trust them, but before anything I asked them, "How should I trust you?" and they both said, "You told us about your favorite Cereal, which you said no one knows, and that is Cinnamon Toast Crunch!" and with that I knew these two could be trusted. I've only told the people who I trust the most about my lust for CTC, hell I would massacre a country for a damn box of Good 'ol Cinnamon Toast Crunch. With that I went towards the warehouse.
When I entered the warehouse, of course, it was rigged again, but it wasn't a trap. It asked me what my FULL name was, my retina scan, fingerprint scan, and my favorite cereal, and I told them all (For secret purposes I can not tell my full name, so hah , haha ;) ) and the door unlocked. With that I saw pictures of me and someone else, but for some reason they were all torn apart, and horrible memories came back to me. I quickly shook them and at the end it said, "Place Yugrik here, AKA your rock" on a sign and under it was a hole that was the exact size of my rock, aka Yugrik.
I then summoned 'Yugrik' and with simply saying its name, it felt 10 times as powerful. It then sucked in my stone and with that everything around me changed. Hazen or Manlops weren't here and it was just me. I then was sent to a pitch black room, with a door, that was shining. With that, I went through the door and all I saw was Red, Fire, and Death. Then To a sign to my right, it said, "Welcome to The Wellington's Hell Resort! Only people of the Wellington family can come, so congratulations, for being the last survivor, Johnny." My mind turned blank. Who the hell am I, came up to me many times, just who the hell am I? Am I a human, a devil, a demon, a hybrid, a what?! Well, I had no clue so I had only one chance of finding out, by going into the resort and learning more. With that, I felt at ease.

Humanity's End
Given a year to prepare by the mysterious ‘system’ for contact with the wider galaxy, humanity must work to ensure the Earth’s defense is ready to meet any challenge. Sadly, most of the world seems dedicated to tearing itself apart as the year-end deadline gets closer. The west is in barely contained Chaos, while the east descends into internal conflict and war. The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. They are filled with deadly men and women trained in all manner of warfare, each trained in the newly acquired System with skills and magical abilities that they put to deadly purpose. Beside these brave warriors, tanks, helicopters, artillery and more stand ready to defend humanity at each of these powerful installations. But, can they overcome the disparity in levels and experience between themselves and the forces that threaten them and the rest of humanity? Main Characters Jessica Brown- A young African American girl. Her 18th birthday in Detroit was the same day the systems message appeared. She discovered she was Level 7, much higher than most of the rest of the world. Why she is blessed, or cursed, with the power she doesn’t know. But what she does know is that she rather likes the feeling that comes with manipulating magic. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up? DEDICATION: This story is dedicated to my father who passed away recently. Jim Holloway, you’ll be missed you old silverback gorilla. Love you dad. Always have, always will.
